Here's the deal... I learned a long time ago that sometimes you have to use what you've got to make things happen. What I happen to have is a pretty smile, long legs and the ability to make men believe anything I say. Before you get on your high horse and start judging me, can you honestly say you've never batted your lashes at some guy for a free drink at the bar? That's what I thought.

Keep that in mind as I tell you my story of how I took it one step further. My story of lies, deceit, manipulation and love. Yeah, love. Believe me, it fits. Especially, when you factor in Nick and Tucker – one had my heart and the other one wanted it all for himself. Which one? Well, I can't tell you that. It would defeat the purpose of the story. If I'm going to fill you in about me, Lila Garrison, and my life as a con artist you're going to need to know all the facts, including the ones about the two guys who made me want to give up the life of fancy clothes, expensive jewelry, fast cars and easy money. Because sometimes, one person can give you something that's more valuable than all of that.

If you're still interested, stick around. Just remember, I'm pretty good at convincing people to do what I want, so if by the end of this whole thing you feel worked over, don't say I didn't warn you.

Born and raised in the middle of a Midwestern cornfield (not literally, that would be weird), I’ve spent my entire life imagining stories. Stories where the right guy always gets the right girl, first kisses are as magical as they are on the big screen and anything is completely possible if you believe.

Although this journey began years ago, it recently took on a whole new life. After years of devouring hundreds of Romance, YA and New Adult novels, I had an epiphany... I should write a book. And I did it!

If I’m not reading, writing, enjoying drinks with my amazing group of girlfriends or chasing around a sarcastically funny kid, I’m probably watching television shows that were created for teenagers, while my husband teases that I’m too old to watch them.

Meet Lila Garrison...

 photo bc004a39-8fa5-421c-9927-08c161f09134_zpsee3db11b.jpg
Trickster, bamboozler, grifter. There were lots of names for what I did, but only one that everyone seemed to know- con artist.

Lila is a college student now, trying to live the straight and narrow. The last five years or so, she has been conning with her best friend Nick, but recently, she has been trying to turn over a new leaf. Nick is in some trouble and needs help, she can’t turn him down.

We were somewhere between best friends and a whole lot more.

Nick tells Lila he is in some gambling debt and he has a perfect mark. This mark would be his roommate, Tucker Kline. Tucker is not like any other guy Lila has conned before. They usually go after older guys, who aren’t good, with lots of money. Tucker is rich, but from what Lila can tell isn’t a bad guy and she’s hesitant to do it. When Tucker and Lila meet, Tucker is interested right away.

“When you’re my girl, I’ll never treat you like that.”
“What the hell do you mean when I’m your girl?”
“Exactly what I said.”

Lila has always had feelings for Nick, but they friends, family to one another. Things start to get confusing when she starts having feelings for Tucker, he is falling for her too.

“I’m pretty close to the line when it comes to falling for you, Lila. It wouldn’t take much for me to trip over it.”

The scam gets more complicated than any of them could have predicted, especially Lila. She has a big choice to make...

“I was pretty sure I was in love with Nick, falling for Tucker, and lying to them both.”

Lila, Nick and Tucker... this was one crazy love triangle. Lila was trying to be a good person, she aggravated me at times, but I liked her. I wanted to love Nick, and I did for a part of the book, other times- I just wanted to slap him! At first, Tucker seemed a little cocky and full of himself, but I ended up rooting for him by the end of the book.

I wanted to love this one, but for some reason, I couldn’t get into it. It was an enjoyable read, I liked it- I just didn’t love it. It was different, and the ending was really great. There was a twist in the middle of the book I didn’t see coming. Overall- a good read for me... just not great.

“I don’t need money or expensive things. The only thing I need is you.” <3

3.5 STARS for this original and interesting new-adult story. It was full of twists and hot guys, recommended!

My Lila and Nick:

Lila is a con artist. All she ever wanted was to have wealthy life without much effort. The only thing she wants more is Nick, her best friend and fellow con artist, with whom she has been in love with for years. But as long as they both live fake lives, there is no chance for serious relationship between them. Now, Lila wants to end her criminal life and give herself and Nick a chance. But when he askes her for one last con to repay his dept, she agrees.

Enter Tucker:

But this con is going to be different. Instead of fake name and appearance, Lila is going to be just herself. Instead of older overweight rich guy, she is supposed to con young, attractive and spoiled heir of huge company - Tucker. Will she be able to pull this without some serious consequences? And what happens if she starts to develop some feelings for Tucker? And what if there is more into this con? Once Lila gets too deep into life of deceits, it is hard to tell who is bad and who is good...

My first impression of Tucker was not good. He was too sure of himself, too demanding and intimidating. But after initial dislike, his sexy and confident nature started to grow on me. When it came to Nick, he was not so great himself. He cared for Lila, they had something special between them but there were moments when I was not so sure of his intentions. Nick or Tucker? I was asking this questions myself through out the whole story and for quite a long time I had no idea whom to really trust.

Lila was feisty, with questionable way of making money but otherwise, she was not a bad person. On contrary, she was very interesting character. A little bit shallow at the beginning but always able to learn from her mistakes and change herself for better.

When it comes to New Adult genre, Give Me Something was very unique story. No broken individuals, just con artists. Not only one romantic target, but two, without turning this story into some annoying love triangle thing. Instead of overcoming some trauma, this story was about lies, deceits and learning to trust people. I loved debut novel by this author Shattered and I really enjoyd this book too. Elizabeth Lee is definitely an author you should keep an eye on in the future!

"People who say that money can't buy happiness, had obviously never had it"

Lila and Nick have been best friends forever...

Lila...

Nick..

They were somewhere between best friends and a whole lot more..
Well atleast to Laila is was always a whole lot more...

Lila is in love with him forever.
Nick is the type of guy that will get Lila to do anything for him..

Lila and Nick are Tricksters, bamboozler or grifter.. Aka con artists.

I learned a long time ago that sometimes you have to use what you've got to make things happen. What I happen to have is a pretty smile, long legs and the ability to make men believe anything I say."

They begin college and Lila wants to live a changed lifestyle.. Not to be a con anymore..

That's when Nick begs her for one last job to do because he owes some people money for gambling.
With false promises of them finally being together he manipulates Lila into the job.

Tucker...

The target. Rich boy who inherits a fortune when his father dies. All she needs to do is make him love her then scam him for money..

Lila and Tucker get close and the nice part of their relationship is that they get to know each other. Hanging out, making out..

Lila starts having feelings for Tucker..especially after he takes her home and she meets his friends and his so sweet to her.

I LOVED ALL THE CHEEEESY pick up lines between Lila and Tucker. Sooo cute!!

She starts to question her feelings for Nick.

She has this tug of war with herself and her heart .
Nick uses the feels she has for him to manipulate her over and over.

Offcourse when playing with fire, someone is going to get burnt. The shit will always hit the fan and the truth will be revealed.

Lila falls for Tucker badly! And she confesses everything!

What will happen??

I was actually shocked that he forgave her so quickly but he really did love her!

The truth will set you free... And Lila learnt this in every aspect.

A realisation finally dawns on her that his been using her all this time.

What an idiot! He used Lila and eventually lost her to Tucker.
I hated Nick but he did redeem himself at the end so I'm kind of on the fence with my feelings for him. He just has a twisted way of showing Love and because of that he is the one who lost at his own game.

What a sweet HEA for all!

This was such an entertaining book, I was hooked! I would recommend to anyone :)
Ellizabeth Lee, after u blew me away with Shattered I knew this was going to be good. I forsee myself being a fan of your writing for a very long time...

Give Me Something sure delivered! This book was fast paced and definitely full surprises! I really enjoyed the story line of Lila Garrison, our main character who left her loving family five years prior because they couldn’t afford coach purses and designer labels.

Lila's partner in crime Nick sets up her marks, which are usually rich horrible men to fleece. Lila and Nick are still thick as thieves and Lila has been in love with him from the start and the two have a pretty interesting relationship.

Lila and Nick are currently attending college trying to go legit. When Nick begs Lila to do one last job for him, Lila can't say no. She is shocked as to who the mark is and even more shocked at the twists and turns this job takes.

Lila's feelings run the gamut, from her loyalty to Nick to her feelings for Tucker.

"I was pretty sure I was in love with Nick, falling for Tucker, and lying to both of them."

This book had a couple of crazy infuriating moments that truthfully I enjoyed. It was well worth the ride. We aren’t left with a cliffhanger but surprisingly one big surprise HEA!!

Kuddos to Elizabeth Lee for such a fun read!

Since I've been in a perpetual con artist high lately, I decided to make a short review of this New Adult book.

3.5 stars

Trickster, bamboozler, grifter. There were lots of names for what I did, but only one that everyone seemed to know -- con artist. That was me and I was good at it.

That was Lila talking, btw. She's currently a sophomore at a private college which she didn't pay for. And guess how that happened?

a. She slept with an admin
b. She blackmailed the dean

Ding, ding ding.

Time's up guys.

Sorry to disappoint, but slut isn't Lila's middle name. It would be a huge disappointment on my part if she turned out to be one. I don't want my female MCs to be sleeping around in exchange for something that one can actually work hard for.

So of course, she just blackmailed the dean to get scholarship. Who knew compromising photos could turn handy one day?

Since she ran away from home 5 years ago , she'd been in love with her con-partner-slash-pimp, Nick.

Nick owes someone something, and they had to do one last con because of it. And their mark? None other than the golden boy from Sigma fraternity house -- the very rich and gorgeous baseball player, Tucker Kline.

What happened next?

Just a really sexy, albeit frustrating love triangle; and more conning in between.

Supposedly deserving of solid 4 stars right?

Ehhh.

Okay, I was so hooked and then, I wasn't anymore. Although there were still a few unanswered questions, I thought the story was pretty much resolved at 76%. Which means IMO, it just needed a few pages to wrap up, and certainly not another 1/4 of the book since the rest of the time was mostly spent revisiting the country charm of Tucker's hometown. It gets old you know.

Just when I was about to skim the book for good, things spiced up a bit at the last two chapters.

Well, actually let's just say I was holding my breath until the very end. And my goodness Ms. Elizabeth Lee, my heart almost dropped!

I'm thanking the heavens for that kickass epilogue!

4 Presh Stars!

I really enjoyed this story...it was different, it was addicting, it was funny, it was sweet.

Give Me Something is the story of con-artist's Lila and Nick. Lila grew up poor and has always believed that money = happiness. She leaves home when she is 16 for a better life and meets Nick. For the next several years they lead a life of crime, swindling numerous men out of cash.

Lila loves Nick. With the loss of her family, he was often times her only friend. After Nick cons their way in to college--Lila tries to change her ways and leave the life of crime behind. But Nick finds himself in trouble and need Lila's help--one last con job! Yeah sure okay....

This is where me meet Tucker...sweet, huggable, kissable, stud muffin, hottie Tucker! Tucker I love you!!! But watch your back Tucker--you're Lila and Nick's next hit! That's right folks...queue the love triangle.

At this point in the story I don't know who I want Lila to end up with...the boy she's "loved" her whole life or Mr. Hottie McTottie! It's quite the conundrum.

Fear not--lies are revealed and truths are discovered making the decision between Tucker and Nick an easy one.

....this is for you!

The pacing on this story was fantastic. It was full of twists and turns and surprises that kept me glued to my Ipad. And even in the end managed to redeem himself--especially once the whole story was revealed. A little anyways.

Everything gets wrapped up nice and neat in the epilogue. Even though my eyes did bug out there for a minute when I thought they were going to throw another little twist in there.

Overall this was an enjoyable read--I will note that my copy had quite a few typos, several missing words, etc. However, this did not personally take away from the story for me.

After I read Shattered, I was anxious to see what Elizabeth Lee was going to come up with next. Well, I'm happy to say that not only did I love Give Me Something, but I absolutely fell in LOVE with Tucker. I mean...I LURRRVE him a lot.

I usually attach myself to male characters in my books. Not surprising, I know. However, I really like Lila. She left home when she was a teen, because she just didn't agree with her family's lifestyle and ideals. At the time, she didn't feel like they even cared all that much that she left. So, when she hooked up with Nick, she felt like she had someone who cared about her and someone she fell in love with. But, how can you really fall in love with someone, when all they do is lie? Nick teaches Lila how to become a grifter/con artist. Together, they pull off some pretty great cons, but Lila is ready to get out of that life for good. She and Nick settle in at a small university and Lila finally feels like she's living a 'normal' life. However, Nick has a problem. He owes money to some dangerous guys. So, he plans a con and he needs Lila's help. The mark is Tucker. What Lila wasn't expecting was to fall for her mark. And as a result, she ends up resenting Nick and begins to see their relationship in a whole new light.

Tucker Kline is a player and he makes no excuses about it. But, when he meets Lila, he sees something different and pursues her hard. He's cocky, but charming, sweet, and definitely sexy. Lila and Tucker are attracted to each other, but it's more than just a physical thing. Lila sees that Tucker is a genuine guy and nothing at all like Nick has made him out to be. The lines become more and more blurred for Lila as she falls even more for Tucker. Tucker is no fool though.

I know this review seems like a complete recap of the book, but this is a story that has many twists and turns. This is book that needs to be experienced by the reader. Just know this, you will love Tucker. Lila and Tucker together are truly great couple. Not only did they learn to trust and love, but I really felt like Lila had a lot of personal growth. And as much as I wanted to smack Nick around, I think he has a good story to tell and I can't wait to see what happens with him down the road. I would also love to see a story about Brynn!!!! She cracked me up.

Overall, I loved it! Give Me Something had a great combination of romance, steam, and intrigue. Once I started reading it, I didn't stop till I was finished. If you're looking for a great NA to start next, Give Me Something is a great choice for you!

Quotes:
~"We're going out tonight because, whether you want to admit it or not, you know I'm the best thing that's ever gonna happen to you."-Loc 770

~"Holy shit, Lila." Brynn's voice over my shoulder, pulled me back from the lust-filled stare I was giving Tucker as he swaggered out the door. "I just about had an orgasm watching that conversation."-Loc 776

~"Who cares where he lives? You're going to be alone with him for forty eight hours. Alone. No fraternity brothers, jealous girls, or Nick. I'd give it up to him on a pile of dirt."-Loc 1134

~"I'm pretty close to the line when it comes to falling for you, Lila." My heart stilled. "It wouldn't take much for me to trip over it." He turned on his side and his blue eyes begged me to give him an honest shot.-Loc 1292

In the scheme, are the players being played? What I most liked about this gripping and edge-of-the-seat read is that you’re never quite sure – until near the end when it’s all revealed. For me, this is what makes a really great reading experience. I fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

Recycled storylines are becoming a regular occurrence. This time around I found something more. “Give Me Something” offered up a unique and refreshing change. Filled with a great mix of cons, twists and turns, sizzle and steam, comical relief, and a triangle of love consisting of two very hot bad boys--both players but on different playing fields and, last but not least, a sassy, beautiful and repentant beguiler. It all worked for me from start to finish.

Elizabeth Lee is a new-to-me author. Her writing mesmerized me, kept me in my chair, and left me smiling ear-to-ear. It can’t go unnoticed that there are more than several editing problems. Nothing so severe that it took me out of the story but still yet, they bug me.

There’s a hint of excitement in the air with rumors that one of the characters (who must remain unnamed) from “Give Me Something” might be getting a book of their own. That’s terrific news!

Meanwhile, I’m off to purchase a copy of “Shattered,” another of Lee’s books. This is definitely an author on my watch list.

This was like one of those teens drama series.

Immature. Stupid. Doesn't make any sense. But you still watch it..or read it in this case.

So many twists and turns and I don't know what's up anymore.
That kind of ruined it for me among other stupid things. And all this triangle relationship. Yep, so not my thing.

Nope.

I won't be reading next book in the series.

★★★★

Holy moley, I have a serious case of whiplash!! I have never been so indecisive in which leading guy I want. This book was a fun, feel good book that I never wanted to end!!

So this book's told in the first person POV of Lila Rae, a con artist, who is in love with her best friend BUT then starts falling for her mark too!! Talk about awkward.

Lila was cool. She was a super fun character to read. I thought she was witty and funny, but also pretty down to earth(even though she's a total fashion slut haha).

Ok let's talk about the guys: Nick and Tucker. I cannot fully explain how strong of a tug of war I felt my brain and heart struggle through. On the one hand, I wanted Nick because that's who Lila's been pining for since forever. But then freaking Tucker comes in sweeping my heart along with his damn sexiness and I couldn't decide who I wanted anymore!! It was seriously frustrating. I think in the end I was ok with who Lila ends up with because the chemistry was so undeniably powerful. Plus those cheesy pick-up lines totally worked on me too!! :)

I gotta say the only reason I'm not giving this book 5 stars is because I felt like some of the crucial scenes were anticlimactic. There was no buildup for me leading up to those turning points. It was just like BAMN, here you go. I wanted some foreplay and a big dramatic increase of tension leading up. I don't know if maybe that's just me, though. Maybe others who've read it felt differently.

Still, this book was so good. I liked it a lot!! 2013 Must Read!!

Give Me Something was a quick fun read for me. I loved the concept of a female con artist and a male "mark.”

"Trickster, bamboozler, grifter. There were lots of names for what I did, but only one that everyone seemed to know -- con artist. That was me and I was good at it. So good, that I'd managed to live a pretty charmed life."

Lila was so much fun to read about! I loved how our heroine was not your typical bad girl and made no excuses for the things she did in life. Rae didn't want to be the poor white trash any longer and with the help of her best friend Nick (who she also happened to be head over heels in love with); she took from the rich "to give to the poor." That is until she met her newest "mark,” Tucker Kline.

"There were years of scamming the rich to give to the poor. By poor, I mean us. If you think I had a Robin Hood complex, I didn't. I was selfish and greedy, just like Nick. People who say that money can't buy happiness, had obviously never had it."

Ladies wait till you meet Tucker Kline and his famous cheesy one-liners. I am usually a sucker for the "bad boy" and immediately gravitate towards them, but not this time around. The "good guy" won hands down. You can't help but smile and giggle when he is on the page. Tuck is wicked sweet and willing to change his philandering ways for Lila Rae. Lila and Tucker were wicked cute together. I loved their fun quirky chemistry.

"Where did you go?"
"I wanted to check the labels on your clothes."
"Hmm?"
“You know... To see if you were made in heaven."
"Oh, you're good."
"You have no idea," he grinned wickedly.

What happens when you involve two guys and one girl in a love triangle? Well drama of course! Lila has been in love with Nick for 5 years, and was waiting for him to return her feelings. Nick however, returned those feelings when he wanted Rae to do something for him. I liked Nick, I just didn't like him with Rae. I didn't feel the same connection between those two. For me it was all about what Nick could use her for. It seemed every time she wasn't following down the path he set for her, Nick would pull out the love card. He would feed her the lines she wanted to hear. One con working another. It irked me. Enter Tucker. I loved what his character added to the mix. Adored the way he spices things up and makes Lila Rae question everything she knew.

“I was pretty sure I was in love with Nick, falling for Tucker, and lying to them both.”

I enjoyed Give Me Something. The story line and characters were both well developed. The characters were fun. It had a few twists that I wasn't expecting. However, I couldn't give this a four star read like I wanted to. I don't know if it is because lately I have been reading some very intense books and the switch to something lighter threw me off, but for me something was just missing.

Thank you, Elizabeth Lee for the opportunity to review Give Me Something for my honest opinion.

Trickster, bamboozler, grifter. There were lots of names for what I did, but only one that everyone seemed to know -- con artist. That was me and I was good at it.

Lila Rae and Nick are like family. They have been friends since their teen years and have spent their young lives running cons and making money off of people who they did not feel deserved it. But Lila is ready to start over and have a real life and would love for that to be with Nick. But Nick has just one more job for her to help him get out of some trouble. And she will do anything for Nick. She has loved him forever. Little does she know that this will change everything.

For the the past five years, Nick has been the center of my universe and more than anything, I wanted to be the center of his. We were always teetering between relationshop statuses. We were somewhere between best friends and a whole lot more.

The "Mark" is Tucker Kline, a young, wealthy frat boy. Nick says he is an undeserving jerk. Sure he is cocky, arrogant, and a playboy, but the Tucker she comes to know has many redeeming qualities. He is sweet, attentive, generous, caring and charismatic. They play off each other so well. They have electric chemistry and attraction. The game is turned on the player and she is caught between the boy she has loved for years and the guy she is supposed to dupe. Which one of these guys is really the perfect match for her?

That was the moment it hit me. The moment where I realized I actually had real feelings for Tucker Kline. That's my girl. But I wasn't his girl. At least not completely. Nick had my heart, and despite my best efforts to keep it from Tucker, he had a part of it, too.

"I'm pretty much close to the line when it comes to falling for you, Lila...It wouldn't take too much for me to trip over it."

The twists and turns of this book kept it interesting and it was a brilliant game of cat and mouse. It was fun trying to figure out who was really playing who and what the underlying truths were. Tucker was all you would want a boyfriend to be. Lila was smart, sweet, caring, and really struggled with doing the right thing and did not want to hurt either one. Nick had a boyish charm and more depth than I actually thought. There was angst, drama, lies, secrets, and surprises that kept me engaged throughout.

I really enjoyed this fast paced, unique book. It was funny, different, and a delightful romp of deception with a great twist or romance.

Thanks to Elizabeth Lee for providing me with a review copy for an honest review.

What happens when the con artist wants to leave it all behind? Well, that's all Lila wants for her future...well, that and her best friend, Nick, who happens to be her partner in crime. But when Nick decides they need to pull off one last con to keep him out of trouble, it seems like that's being postponed for a bit. From the start, it was clear there was something personal about this mark, despite Nick's insisting Tucker was just the typical rich boy who had plenty to spare. Even though Lila was ready to dive back in one last time, the fact that Tucker was a gorgeous guy their age and not some unattractive older married man with fidelity issues put a real challenge on her hands. How do you swindle a guy when you're falling for him??

Lila was one hell of a sassy but sweet girl, and her feisty attitude made her easy to love! As much as she was okay with her past in the sense that it got her what she needed, it was clear that she wanted more from her life and Nick was in the way of that. I got so mad at Nick as he pressured her to do this "one more job", especially since HE needed the money; it felt like he was pimping her out (which, ironically, someone else tells her later...) and she deserved so much better from him. Nick was inherently selfish for most of the story, so it was easy for me to fall for the sexy, successful, considerate Tucker despite my usual preference for the bad boy! He came across as a total player in the beginning, but Lila turned his head solely in her direction and they were definitely hot for each other! I usually like a little more heat with sexy scenes, but they shared some really tender moments that I loved!

As secrets were revealed, Lila realized things were not as they seemed and she really had to reevaluate who she could trust. The con became the victim in some ways, and part of the betrayal had me fuming while the other part had me thinking "well, what goes around comes around, sweetie...". =) When all was said and done, I loved the way things turned out for Lila and *ahem*, and you won't know until the very end thanks to a tricky epilogue! Give Me Something was a fun, sweet, entertaining story and I loved seeing Lila's evolution through her eyes! Oh, and BONUS: we get to see our beloved Alyssa and Jesse from Shattered again, EEP!!!

Wow, please tell me that this book was written by a man who identifies as a "menimist", because if not Elizabeth Lee should be charged and arrested for assaulting my mind with this shit. This book should have been called the fucking doormat with legs.

description

Let's just talk about our protagonist here because if I wrote a review about every little thing that was wrong with this I may as well write a full scale book entitled 'Why I Hate The Doormat with Legs'.

Any girl who pines after a guy for two years after sleeping with him, and watches him fuck girl after girl, yet still claims to love him has self-confidence so pathetically low that she deserves what I call the stupid bitch doormat award.

Here's an idea: STOP PUTTING THE FUCK BOY NET DOOR ON A GOLDEN PEDESTAL AND FIND A GUY THAT ACTUALLY LIKES YOU.

description

It was the most pathetic thing I've ever seen. Even worse than One Direction fan fiction. I mean, every time she saw him we had inner dialogue along the lines of:

"Nick's promise of being together"
"I knew that if he just left this life we could try to be a couple"
"I already knew our bodies fit together perfectly"

description

The ignorant, judgemental, whiny fucking brat needed to shut up and re-evaluate her entire fucking life. I honestly can't even muster up the energy to get any angrier because everything about this book was so sad and pathetic that I really just want to hit Lila in the face and then delete this book from my kindle and never think about it again.

"I wanted to check the labels on your clothes...
Hmm?
You know.. To see if you were made in heaven."

Best pick-up line ever!

Oh wow! This book is amazing. I love the changes from Lila since she met Tucker. Even though life seems rough , people change. And sometimes this change is what defines you for who you really are and what lies beneath that wall you built. I was torn between Nick and Tucker at first but as the story progresses, I knew deep inside Tucker would be the one for Lila. I knew from the very beginning Nick only used Lila to con people with money, Nick is a good friend but sometimes money makes you evil. I know he truly loves Lila but he's just not good enough for her.

As for Tucker, he is such a great boyfriend and friend. He supports Lila in eveything that makes her happy and I love how he tries to make Lila and Nick's friendship not fall apart even though he has little trust for Nick. I love his humor and their nonstop bantering about lame pick-up lines, they are so adorable when they do cheesy lines to each other. It's kind of sickening but at the same time I feel giddy because they're perfect for each other.

Oh here's another one:
"I think you're tired... Because you can't stop running on my mind."

Hot guy saying things like that! Ohmy! It was really funny and adorable! A combination of sexy and cute.

Now, everyone knows that I love a smexy LOVE TRIANGLE, but what about a smexy SQUARE????? That's what this book is offering up. I don't want to reveal too much (or anything at all for that matter). I'm all for the guessing game, and "a-guessing you will do!" You'll be cheering for the characters, but which ones, I'll never tell! (I sounded like Gossip Girl, right there!) Anyway, do yourself a sexy little favor and grab this book up, it'll really "give you something" to enjoy. (Did you catch that play on words there?)

Hey Elizabeth, I'm proud of you hot chick! Keep writing and I'll keep swooning...

XOXOX
(See the allusion there...)

It took me a minute to get past the premise, not my favorite, but when I did I was all in. I loved the H, he was sweet, kind and generous and somewhat jealous and I loved the inside jokes that he shared with the h. I loved that he was so into her and never shied away from allowing her to see it. The story kept me engaged and I was never certain what was going to happen so that kept me reading. 3.5 stars.

**I was gifted an ARC in exchange for an honest review on the blog tour**

“I was pretty sure I was in love with Nick, falling for Tucker, and lying to them both.”

A con artist, her sexy partner, an even sexier mark...and a bucket load of perfectly cheesy pickup lines. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a sucker for cheesy pickup lines; they make me laugh, and as Marilyn Monroe said, “If you can make a girl laugh, you can make her do anything.” Give Me Something is Elizabeth Lee’s second novel, and I love this book just about as much as I love her!

Give Me Something is a perfect mix of deception, angst, love, and suspense. The storyline is original and draws you in from page one; I was so wrapped up in the mess between Lila, Nick, and Tucker that I read the entire novel in a matter of hours! I seriously couldn’t put it down. I would tell myself, “Okay Ash, one more chapter and then you need to get some shit done,” but let me tell you something – the only shit I got done that day was starting and finishing this book.

The characters are some of my all-time favorites, and honestly, I was a little worried that I wouldn’t be a big fan of Lila before reading this. She is the type of girl who knows just how beautiful she really is and uses it to her advantage. And while I think we can all agree that we’ve all used our looks to get our way at some point, I was concerned that she would come across an arrogant girl with her nose up so high it might as well be in the damn clouds. I seriously could not have been more wrong; there was not one time during this book that I disliked her. Sure, I don’t agree with her and Nick’s business of conning people but even with that baggage, she was still a likable character. That’s the sign of a talented author, y’all!

Nick and Tucker...where do I even begin?! My feelings for Nick were all over the freaking place because the guy just seemed like a sneaky, little bastard. I liked him and then didn’t like him...and then I’d forgive him, and then there was one particular scene where I was all, “OH HELL MOTHER FUCKING NO HE DIDN’T!!!” I hated him in that moment; and then Elizabeth throws another curve ball right at my face and makes me regret screaming angry obscenities towards him! The only thing that kept me from forgetting which was up was Tucker Kline. Sweet sassy molassey! I absolutely adore him!! His cheesy pickup lines were adorable, and his whole persona is like a breath of fresh air. Well, a steaming hot breath of fresh air. Excuse me for a moment while I wipe the drool off my face and collect my thoughts………

Okay. Good enough.

Honestly, I could go on and on about this book but now I have Tucker Kline on the brain, and it doesn’t appear he’s going away any time soon. If you haven’t read Give Me Something yet, you’re missing out. Buy this book and buy it noooow! Oh and E, the irony is not lost on me that this book is called Give Me Something and you really did give me something – a badass read and a hot, new book boyfriend. ;)

PS – Just because of the pickup lines in this book, I thought I’d share my all-time favorite cheesy pickup line: You’ve got 206 bones in your body. Want one more?
You know that made you laugh... :)

BLURB:

Give Me Something by Elizabeth Lee was so good! I loved the storyline and most of the characters!

I thought the con artist storyline was fun and kinda reminded me of the Great Exploitations series by Nicole Williams. (If you like this book, you’ll like that series and vice versa) Lila Rae Garrison uses her looks to get things from men. Lila and her “I not-so-secretly want to be with him” best friend Nick make bank off the unsuspecting scoundrels who are looking for a little action for a younger, sexier woman. Then she meets her final target, Tucker Kline. Nick is telling her that he’s not a nice guy and deserves this, but she doesn’t quite see that. For most of the book Nick made me feel slimy. Tons of red flags were flying and for good cause. He’s a little too sneaky and Lila trusts him too much for her own good. Tucker Kline is a freaking sexy, gentleman! He plays the ultimate nice guy. I’m Team Tucker!!
I liked the surprises toward the end…there were two that I can remember. It all wrapped up nicely and we even got a glimpse into the future, I love when authors do that!

I’m on the lookout for more books! Looks like Nick is getting a book coming out Feb. 18, 2014!

Disappointment. I did not like it at all. I wouldn't mind reading about a girl who takes money from asshole rich guys to survive... But this story is about a girl, who wants to take as much money as possible from a really good guy, who just lost his dad, to pay her friends gambling problem. Am I the only one who thinks that there is something seriously wrong with the story? The heroine is shallow, naive and unbelievable as a con artist. Her friend is completely manipulating her, and she just believes whatever he says without thinking twice, seriously? I hated her more than I hated Nick, there was nothing about her that I could connect with, I mean nothing. All I wanted to do was slap her for being such a hypocrite and tell her to get a normal fucking job. Her story did nothing for me except make me really angry and I would prefer book ending with her in the prison cell. I did not finish it, and I regret even starting it.

This was a great book. This book led me down pathways that I knew where they were going but they never went there, how refreshing. Everything I thought would happen didn't. What I wanted to happen didn't. Hence the four star. Regardless of my wants, this was a great book that kept me guessing THE ENTIRE TIME.

2.5 Stars!
This book didn't work for me, the cover, title and blurb build up too many expectations. It lacked the display of emotions according to me.
It had a very nice story, but somethings were abrupt, weird and blah for me.
