Absolutely wonderful! The archetype of the devil is brought to a wondrous life within these pages. O'Grady does an amazing job at explaining what can be a rather complex history in a very simple and understandable manner. The author doesn't also just view the Devil from a Christian perspective but rather from at the very least all three Abrahamic religions and a few others as well. The folklore portions are great but what I really loved was the author's psychological analysis of the concept of the Devil and evil. A must read for anyone interested in the occult, psychology, or even a better understanding their own person devils.

This book is mostly a skimpy survey, with a few interesting tidbits, that has little purpose. Throughout, O'Grady seems to argue that the Devil exists, kinda, but not really, but totally, depending on how you view it. Weak.
