I used this book for a 1st grade class visit - they were studying neighborhoods and communities, and this one worked quite well. It's a great introduction to multiple cultures, and shows great friendliness between neighbors. The art work is very colorful and fun, too!

I wanted to love this. The illustrations were fu, but the story and rhyme scheme were so bland. The introduction. To so many different cultures was nice, but it was incomplete. For example, matzo balls are clearly a cultural dish, but what culture? The clarity for each dish would have been nice.

This is an excellent read for children of all ages. This is a multicultural book on food from different cultures around the world. The colorful pages and large print makes this book an excellent read for beginner readers.
