So let Annie inspire you to pack up your picnic basket and find the ideal location to enjoy a spot of al fresco eating, and make your picnic an occasion to remember.
More an aspirational to-do list than a cook book. A few good recipes and plenty of good ideas. If you think picnics are best with table cloths, crockery and 'famous five' levels of food, this is definitely for you. For the rest of us, it's not a bad source for inspiration.
Good suggestions. Looking forward to trying several of the recipes. Not just the same old quiches and jam rolls. Includes suggestions on good bits of kitchen equipment to bring.
At times just a bit too foodie, this is nevertheless an attractive cookbook for the sort of things you would want to picnic with. Bell offers some options using ready made items as well as things to make from scratch-many could be made in advance.
