Hakaiju es un impactante manga de terror post-apocalíptico, furor en Japón. Tras un devastador terremoto, surgen unos impresionantes monstruos que masacran y destruyen todo a su paso. La trama gira en torno a un estudiante de secundaria que de golpe tiene que vivir escapando de ellos junto a un par de supervivientes, mientras intenta encontrar viva a su amiga de la infancia que se supone que está en alguna parte de la ciudad. Un combo de situaciones en el cuál es muy jodido mantener la cordura y no ceder ante el miedo.

Akira Takashiro es un estudiante normal y corriente que practica baloncesto. Se supone que sería un día tranquilo... Pero, pasado el mediodía, un terremoto sacude de repente la ciudad. Dentro del edificio colapsado, Akira es testigo de cómo unas extrañas criaturas devoran los cadáveres apilados de sus compañeros...

4 stars. I will admit that the series has its moments when the action is the only thing making it interesting, but what really bothers me is how no one is addressing how problematic that creepy teacher is and is just going along with his pure insanity.

Watch Out for the Nice Guys

This volume we learn that not everyone in our little group of survivors has pure intentions. Stuff goes sideways and they have to run! We also find out the monsters can behave strangely in one specific location, and there may just be hope for a rescue.

At this point the art has taken more of a hit. The inconsistencies and odd proportions are getting easier to spot.

No sé en que momento esto escaló tan rápidamente de "apocalipsis de monstruos" a "El resplandor" (hasta estaba la escena del mazo XD). Pero bueno se entiende por la histeria colectiva.

Me reí harto con los comentarios que se hacían sobre el viejo verde (veía venir ese giro de trama pero asqueroso de todas formas, ojalá se muera en el otro tomo ese viejo jaja:) )

I bought volumes 2 and 3 of Hakaijuu in Kokura last year as a sort of souvenir and I finally got around to reading them. This time the bad-ass pe teacher goes nuts and tries to kill the main character while lusting after the main girl. Monsters get into the building everyone is hiding in, and while our heroes manage to kill one or two, they have to abandon their home and are chased by giant monsters outside. Various people die, but no one too important. Helicopters show up at the end.

I was amused by the teacher kicking lots of epic buttocks. And it was satisfying seeing one of the centipede monsters get crushed!

今回はタカシロ君がシネマに戻って狂ってる先生に会う。でも狂ってる先生だけがいる！狂ってる先生が奇妙な話を言う。化け物がシネマに侵入して、皆がトイレに隠れて、外に出るに断るっというな話。全部嘘。狂ってる先生はもっとクレイジーになった。今は超狂ってる先生がタカシロ君を殺したいだし、美女白崎ちゃんと、えっと、結婚して自分の大国を作りたい？？？

超狂ってる先生と他のキャラが戦ってる。もちろん突然化け物も侵入して、生死の決戦！やっと彼らがムカデ形の化け物を金づちで殺す！

最後の展開は生存者が車で飛ぶ。運転手は映画オタクから、たくさん映画の事について話している。

今回のエピソードは前回と比べてそんなにグロテスクではなかった。もちろんちょっとスプラッタな場面があるけど、前の巻の方が嫌な感じだった。狂ってる先生は僕にその有名な浮いている教室の漫画を思い出された。
