So far I have enjoyed every visit with the Gray Pack as each story is a compelling mix of suspense and passion with captivating characters that I can relate to and I am really looking forward to reading the next one.
This is an amazing book by an amazing author....the emotion that she brings out in this book and to her characters is an amazing talent.....she writes from her soul and it shows in every paragraph of this book.... This book made me laugh and cry and made me happy and very sad at the same time...this is what is so amazing about both of her books she makes you feel like you are part of their lives you get so involved and you feel every emotion they do...I think it takes an amazing author to bring all of that emotion to a book and as a reader it makes me love it even more because its not just a book when you feel something.....
Liam And Tina's story is a roller coaster ride right from the start....I loved how you let us really get to know them describing certain things about them even the little things drew me into this book even more...I related a lot to Tina ... ,to see the anger and guilt she had and the walls she had around her and to feel that she wanted his love even needed it but just didnt have the courage to take it....and for Liam to see him fight himself about taking his mate really showed his fears as well, but to see how he was rejected by Tina made my heat ache for him for them both. They both had so much past hurt that they were scared to open up in the risk of loosing it...
If you are looking for a book series that will capture your soul and your heat ...and give you some amazing hot sizzling sex and love scenes with wear wolf shifter fireman....well this is the series for you....Lori King takes you on an emotionally sexy roller coaster ride that you never want to end
Can't wait for the third instalment so I can get back on the ride ;)
Sometimes the past hurts keep us from moving on with our lives until Fate blindsides us with True Love or some other kind of tragedy that wakes us up to see the light of a bright future and that is what reader's get and experience through the smooth visionary beautiful words of story telling with this awesome Author Lori King.
Liam and Tina's story is emotional captivating story with lots of roller coaster drama and hot steamy wolfish sex.
Sure the wolf Liam is one sexy fellow and Tina is the perfect woman physically and with attitude, but what makes this an amazing story is the emotional chemistry the characters find themselves in when they try to protect their hearts and deny facing their destinies.
Liam and Tina are both scorned with their past losses but learning to let go and trusting Fate is a journey that kept me glued to the pages. The erotic scenes are definitely hot (4 stars).
I did get furstrated at one point with Tina because I think she put up the most resistance in denying Liam's claim that she was his mate. But it was all good when the wolf bond finally took affect and she realized she couldn't be without Liam. Tina actually became more enjoyable after she was bitten.
The bantering between the secondary characters was very humorous and it was so neat to see the character's from the first book continue on with happy bliss.
I'm glad I found this series and I recommend this erotic paranormal romance to all readers who love to howl for steamy romance.
Both Tina and Liam have been hurt in the past and are not anxious to spend the rest of their lives with anyone. But destiny cannot be ignored, and Liam is a werewolf and he cannot fight his wolf any more then he can stop breathing. But they both have to work through their deep emotional scars from the past so that they can have the future that they deserve.
REFLECTIONS OF THE WOLF is an emotional read that will have readers sit on the edge of their seats. You want to alternate between locking Liam and Tina in a room to stop being so stubborn and give in to their destiny or just sitting back and watch them find their way themselves. Liam and Tina both have solid reasons as to why they do not want to sign themselves up for more heartache. The love scenes are hot enough to set off the smoke detectors in your home but you also fall in love not only with Liam and Tina but Liam's family as well. This is book two in The Gray Pack series and with so may hot Gray Pack members to choose from hope there are going to be a lot more in the series.
REFLECTIONS OF THE WOLF even has a menage scene between Tina's best friend Caroline and her mates which makes it even better.
Lori King is one of those writers that I end up kicking myself over for not having read her before. But now that I have I get to go and find her backlist. Yeah me!
Is one night with a werewolf really enough to prove that they’re predestined as mates? Mates for life? How in the heck is a mere human going to grasp the concept when she’s just learned that werewolves really exist?
Taken hostage with her best friend, Caroline, by a psycho alpha werewolf, Tina Jameson is thankful to be alive. So thankful that she spends one scorching night with Liam Gray—the hottest night of her life. A night where Liam has announced she is his mate. His mate for life. Tina doesn’t believe in love anymore, and definitely not love at first sight. Lust for sure, but lust fades, right?
I really enjoyed this second book in The Gray Pack series. Tina and Liam were introduced to each other, at least over the phone, in the first book and their awesomely funny, witty banter set up the story for them here.
I love how “Alpha” Liam is with Tina. His take charge attitude, and his insistence that Tina is HIS, is a riot—especially when she puts him right back in his place. And I liked how they both worked to overcome their pasts in order to move to the future. Plus, the cameos by Caroline, Devin and Damon to keep them straight were great fun too. ~ Missy, 4.5 stars
"Spine-tingling suspense Red hot Firefighter wolves!" If you love Firefighters and you love wolf shifters then you will want this book!. The story-line of this book is compelling plus the characters are fantastic!. This book has spunky women with drop dead sexy firefighter wolves !. In book one Caroline was saved from a burning building by two sexy twin firefighters. she turned out to be their fated mate. In this one an evil wolf shifter wants to kill the twins so he captures Caroline and her best friend Tina. The Guys rescue them with the help of the other pack members. Liam had spoke to Tina before but now that he meets her he knows she is his fated mate. Only Tina is going to give him a run for his money. Tina thinks she does not want any long term relationships. The sparks fly when these two get together lol. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat and are steamy hot hot!. This is a must read series!!.
Liam Gray can't believe he has met his mate, having been burned before with damaging repercussions he is weary of what fate has in store for him. Tina Jameson is not looking for another relationship, especially after her last disastrous ending to what she thought would be happily ever after. Even though both Liam and Tina are fighting the mating call, both have quite a bit in common including guilt over their past.
I gave this a four, even though there was thing that gnawed at me. I thought Liam had more to overcome than Tina and she was like a yoyo on her reasoning for not wanting to mate with Liam. I understood where it was coming from but I think she lacked some sensitivity and her bluntness was hard to swallow at times. I did think there was great chemistry and once the baggage was dropped the story was back on track.
Reflections of the Wolf by Lori King is the second book in her The Gray Wolf pack series. Each book can be read as a stand alone but each book does feature recurring characters. I read the series out of order and had no problem understanding and enjoying the story line.
In Reflections of the Wolf, Tina Jameson meets beta wolf Liam Grey after being rescued from the villain in book 1. Liam recognizes Tina as his mate but they both have issues on their past that effect their relationship. In Reflections of the Wolf, I enjoyed the heartfelt plot line. I can understand their reluctance of not wanting to risk the pain from loss again. So plenty of emotions in this story, plus some drama, great recurring characters, and great bedroom scenes. If you are a fan of paranormal romance, I highly recommend this series.
Reflections of the Wolf will have readers wanting more. It is an emotional read that had me on the edge of my seat while reading it. The author has accomplished something exceptional with this book. Her writing is well done with excellent character development, along with great chemistry between the hero and heroine, and I can’t forget to mention there’s some smoking hot sex scenes.
MMMMMMM LIAM...come on big guy, I got a fire for you! LOL. Liam and Tina's story is awesome. It made me laugh, cry, get angry and sigh! But best of all it made me smile. I thought coming off of Fire Of The Wolf (Book 1) and all the hot menage action, this would be a quick book to get me to book 3, Legacy of the Wolf. Well, spank me and put me in the corner... I was so wrong. This book follows suit! It is definitely a hot read with tons of emotions scooped in there. Well done Lori! Once again you had me squirming in my seat girl!
I loved this book! I only found 1 fault(thus 4 stars instead of 5) and that was the 'Tina pushing Liam away' was just abit too drawn out for me but I really enjoyed the book and it didnt deter me at all! I look forward to book 3
I really enjoyed the first book of this series, but yet I think I liked this one even more.
I really liked Liam. He was funny, sexy, understanding and protective. He understood that he had thrown a lot at Tina at once but yet was unwilling to walk away. He tried to walk away and hoped that she would come back to him. I really liked when he brought his charm and swagger out. No woman can resist that!!
Tina was hit and miss for me. While I understood her reluctance to mating with Liam, I didn't understand her relationship with her ex. I just wished more was discussed about this so as a reader, I could have understood why she couldn't let this one go. She was portrayed as so strong but her issues were sort of glossed over.
I also felt really bad for Tina, she had two pretty traumatic experiences happen very close together and she really did seem alone. Her BFF was busy getting it on with her new mates. I am glad Liam was there.
This is the second book in this series. They should be read in order. This book focuses on Liam and Tina. After being saved from murderous werewolves Liam and Tina have a crazy steamy night together. However, she refuses to accept that he is her mate. She just meets him; she can’t spend forever with him after just one night. Tina has been through something horrible and she can’t get passed it. She let history repeat its self. Liam isn’t going to give up that easily though. He is patient. He has a plan and he can wait her out. Can show her how great they could be together if she just gave them a chance. Liam has his own past that isn’t all sunshine and roses. He too must find a way to move past it. I loved this book so much. The characters are fantastic. They pulled me in right away. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. Great job Lori.
I was gifted this book in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.
This is the second book in The Gray Pack series you can read it in order like I am doing or read them as a stand-alone.
After Tina Jameson and her best friend Caroline were held hostage by a crazy psycho werewolf with evil intent, Tina is just thankful to be alive, So much so Tina ends up going home with Liam Gray and having the most scorching hot passionate night with him, Liam is one of the local fire-fighter and he is also a Beta Wolf of the Gray Pack. But when he suddenly tells her that she is his destined mate, she thinks he is crazy and runs away as fast as she can.
But Tina finds that emotions are conflicting just as much as her needs and desires. She has already been a victim of such a senseless act of violence in the past, That know Tina has given up on any and all kinds of forever love, even though this man turns her inside out and presses every last button and nerve she has which leaves her hotter than hades.
Liam never thought that he would ever want a mate, but his wolf has other ideas and he wants Tina immediately in his bed and in his life for ever. But for in order to have Tina he has to let go of the past and the guilt that has been haunting him from his daughter’s death and then he has to help Tina to let go of her very own tragic past.
Can one night truly determine their destiny of a Happily Ever After, or will there fear get to them and drive them both apart?
This series gets better and better I just adore Lori King her style of writing is intoxicating/magic once you pick up one of her books you get lost in to a new world and you don't come out until the very end. Liam intrigued me in book one when I found out his past I just new his book would be amazing, hold on to your seats as this book will take you on a wild ride. Tina well I liked her but didn't love her I have to admit she did drive me mad whilst I can understand she has had a turbulent past she does everything to drive Liam away....... Helllooo hot wolf who is a Fire-fighter ….. damn il have him if she doesn't want him seriously I wanted to reach through the book and scream at her Open your eyes woman......
Liam well he has my heart totally I loved him to the core he has suffered such an insane tragedy and yet he is able to see through it all to love again... wowza he is a man and a half, yes he makes mistakes when he doesn't go after Tina but he soon sees the error of his ways which made him my favourite character. What I loved about this book was how Lori was able to bring us heaps of chemistry and a sizzling amount of attraction, and of course the chemistry between Liam and Tina is simply divine they bring us an inferno of sizzling heat and raging desire the intimate scenes are *Fans Myself * scorching.
You also get them both needing to let go of there past as well as their very fears, this relationship is for sure an emotional roller-coaster that will pull at you heart. This is a fast paced flowing plot which will keep us the readers on there tippy toes through out.
What more could I ask for Lori King is one of those writers that time after time knocks it out of the park. 4 Out Of 5 Hearts From Cariad Books
This book picks up from the last chapter of the first book, Fire of the Wolf, but from Tina’s POV. Since I read these books back-to-back, I found the beginning of book 2 a little repetitive because I already knew what was going on. I would’ve enjoyed the beginning more had I waited a few weeks or so to read this one. Anyway, the book picks up steam once Tina and Liam meet and the pack explains to her that werewolves exist. The sexual relationship starts off really quick and Tina panics afterward. She definitely makes Liam work hard to win her over (which I want and expect from a stubborn woman!). At first, I understood and sympathized with Tina’s internal conflict and the pain/guilt she carried inside over her fiance’s death, but she carried it for too long. She kept giving Liam mixed signals. Liam has emotional problems, too, but he was much more open about his past than Tina was. Liam was a great character but I couldn’t connect well with Tina after a while. I tried to understand her problems and why she acted the way she did but, half way through the book, I couldn’t make excuses anymore for her childish actions/responses to everything Liam did and said. She wouldn’t open up and talk to the man she obviously loved and who loved her. The sex scenes were great, detailed, and downright sexy. Most of the characters kept me intrigued and I love the scenes with all the pack members. Those men are crazy, super hot and I sooo want to take one or two of those wolves home with me! There were a few editing and spelling problems but not as many that were in the first book. I definitely noticed an improvement. Thank you author/editor/proofreader. Anyway, I recommend this book for anyone who loves angsty paranormal romance books. 4 Stars.
Disclaimer - I won this ebook, as well as the whole series (up to book 5), in a contest/giveaway. Thank you, Lori King, for this wonderful set. I am not paid or compensated for this honest review. I will not change or alter this review for any reason.
Couldn't wait to start Book 2 in the Gray Pack! Liam and Tina started their story in Book 1 and I couldn't wait to see where they went. Lori King does not disappoint, their story isn't sex and getting over loss.
Liam Gray meets Tina helping out his cousin. He knows before he even sees her that this is his mate, he senses and smells her. Not so easy to convince the human Tina that werewolves exist and that they belong together. Liam isn't even sure he wants a mate. His first wife and child died and he is not over their loss. Tina's fiancé was killed and she is still not over him.
Drawn together by pure lust and the need to be together, they have to heal and allow each to move on from the past. She has to learn to accept that he is werewolf and the Pack ways. I loved this shifter story and seeing the struggle and conflict in the characters. Watching them hold back, when they are drawn together. Lori King allows you to know the characters and you can feel their emotions. Couldn't put this book down! Ready to meet more of the Gray Pack.
Loving, emotional, compassionate, caring, deeply thought filled characters, an interesting story, and super hot sex, make this tale worthwhile. I love a Lori King tale. Liam and Tina were wonderful together, but her angst and indecision started to bug me, until she finally came to her senses. Liam was protective, fierce, loving, and secure. Tina, the nurse, friend of Caroline from the first book, was cute but negative. Her past dictated her thoughts, and she needed to let go. Liam also had a rough and sad past, but was strong and realized he loved and needed his true mate. Well written and highly recommended. ENJOY !!!
This was a compelling story involving two people who have a traumatic past. Liam wasn't looking for his mate but when he chose to protect his alpha's mate he scents her. Once he meets the feisty Tina the sparks are combustible. Their journey is filled with both of them overcoming previous hurt and guilt but what they can eventually build is a lifetime of happiness. This book made me fall in love even more with the Gray pack and can't wait to see who's next!!
Ahhh!! Liam is amazing.. Tina is funny as hell.. This book is going into my favorite list! Lori king did it again.. Wonderfully written the main characters are thoroughly enjoyable as are the side characters the dual POV helps get a sense of both what Liam and Tina are thinking.. Gray pack definitely becoming a favorite serious of mine.. Hot werewolves and there mates nothing else to say its simply that good..
I loved that this book started off right where "Fire of the Wolf" ended. I bought this book as soon as I finished the first one since I couldn't wait to get into Tina and Liam's story and see where Lori King takes us. Once again it had everything I like in a book. A great romance, fantastic primary and secondary characters, suspense and most importantly a HEA.
