The Heiresses #2

The Inheritance

Rate this book
Triplets—estranged since birth—are thrust together in glittering 1926 London to fight for their inheritance, only to learn they can't trust anyone—least of all each other.

After quickly settling into their aunt's London townhouse, the girls soon meet their half-brother, Charles, an up-and-coming politician who would like nothing better than to see them disappear and his family name left intact. He refuses to bestow any of their inheritance upon them unless all three leave the city for good. The girls decide to form a united front and fight Charles together. However, when Clio—desperate for money for the ailing mother who adopted her—approaches Charles without telling anyone, she finds out a secret so shocking it could change everything forever.

Oh. I didn't like this one as well as the first. Thalia seemed to change personalities. She didn't seem cruel in the first one and I didn't get the comment that she'd seemed to dislike Clio from the beginning.

Plus, people seemed to do and think things that . . . didn't make sense.

There was also an unfortunate tendency to get to a dramatic scene . . . and then skip past it to the aftermath.

As with the first installment of this series, this book is short, but offers more insight into Thalia, Erato and Clio. There seem to be so many secrets that are eluded to that I can't wait to explore further. I LOVE how the author ends each installment with a cliff-hanger; it really has you looking forward to exploring it in the next installment. Time to read the third installment. Happy reading!
