My life? It's complicated. Fourteen days ago, my mother died. The thought of never seeing her again was unbearable. The secret made it worse. Then came my accident, the coma, separating from my body, and most shocking of all, this extraordinary world between life and death. Just my luck, this is where I found love. In a realm I don't belong, where time isn't on my side. I could go back, but . . . how do you let go of the one dream that could fix your broken pieces? Go or stay. Live or die. Like I said, it's complicated.
Vegetarian? Mostly. Can a person mostly be a vegetarian? I think so.
In my spare time, I like to frolic with my four-legged friends, paint and re-paint the house ... oh, and think up new and interesting characters for future books.
My mind doesn't like to rest, especially when sipping Rock Star Energy Drinks and blasting rock music. It's quite the energizing combo!
I don't know how to describe this book... in many parts it was so sweet, all the stories and love and everything but sometimes hope was frustrating with her delaying and attitude; and the end! I can't forgive that ending! everything was left without real definitely answers, the book was long so I expected answers... but overall I can't complain I liked the book a lot
Quite an interesting and complex read. Not only does Hope travel to a place between life and death while she's in a coma, but she finds that this isn't her first life lived on Earth.
The relationships between characters, especially once Hope finds that she has known certain people in a previous life, makes more sense. For example, her two loves were previously brothers in their past life. She had fallen for both of them in her previous life and here she is again having to choose between them. By the way, what happened in her previous life was devastating! My heart ached when I found out both brothers returned home safely from war...only shortly after she had committed suicide because of her grief.
I also liked the part where Hope went to visit the little girl. The part where it said something like, "Bring me Hope." And here she was. <3
There was much more to this book, but I always have a hard time writing about the complexities of a book. It's sometimes easier to talk through certain reads!

Loved it! Best out of body experience story ever! Excellent debut novel. Soon to be a best-seller! Can't wait to get it in hard-back and signed. I would love to read a prequel to this one telling Hope and Ethan's past-lives as well as find out what happens next. She's going on my favorite authors list.
This book provided really interesting insight into what might happen to people while they are in a coma. Hope's soul has some wandering and exploring to do while her loved ones anxiously wait for her return to them. The book also explores some interesting past lives themes.
Not sure what to say about this book for the review. Trying to explain it to someone is extremely difficult. It's such a different story that it holds your interest like crazy. I was in love with Hope, Daniel and Ethan. Ending kind of made me angry yet I knew it would end that way the entire time I was reading the story. Makes me a little angry also that this is a Kindle only book.
