Existe La Mujer?: de La Histerica de Freud a Lo Femenino En Lacan

Rate this book
In this book, Dr. Lerer denies that women sexual desires are second to those experienced by men, rejects the alleged women slowness to reach orgasm, explains the fallacy of the so-called penis envy and acknowledges sexual fantasies. It is, therefore, a work for women: for those who are still afraid to discover their own body and also for those who feel guilty when achieving pleasure.

This is a fantastic translation. And Verhaeghe seamlessly discusses Freud's theory of hysteria along with Lacan's interpretations of the theory. Very enlightening.
