It was a great way to see how the prophecy from the Old Testament came true as stated in the New Testament. A great preparation for the coming of Jesus's birth.
This is the first Advent devotional that I've read. I enjoyed the various scriptures - they weren't just the Christmas story from the Gospels. Each days devotion is short making it easy to fit in on even the busiest days.
I did not love this devotional. I picked it up last year when I realized I wanted to do something for Advent. This was okay, but not really what I was looking for. And I am not a huge fan of the NIV, so that ended up being a hindrance to me enjoying this as well. I will keep looking.,
The first daily reader I have used during Advent. I like starting my day with inspirational reading. This was an appreciated gift from a friend and fellow seminary classmate.
