Shelby is a plus size with dangerous curves. Fed up with men trying to change her, she settles into the belief that she's better off alone.
Jace is a martial arts instructor with a killer smile and charm to match. Still feeling the sting from his ex-wife's infidelity, he's cautiously optimistic that he'll find his perfect match.
And so it begins...
When Shelby finds herself stuck babysitting her nephew Dawson, part of her responsibility is to bring Dawson to his weekly karate class. When she comes face to face with Dawson's sensei, Jace, she is immediately drawn to him, and despite her belief that all men are looking for a size zero, she finds herself indulging in fantasy.
...what if?
Jace isn't usually attracted to plus size women, but when it comes to Shelby's bubbly personality and warmth, he finds himself caught up in an intense game of attraction.
I can't believe it! Again I'm the first of my goodreads friends to read a book. It's a short, and it's okay. Perfect to read when you have someone you really don't want to listen to. HAHAHA!!
Alright. Let me keep this short (as the story itself was) - it's a very short story with 25 pages - but at page 15 I gave up. Life is simply too short to waste it on stupid beyond reason, books. So it's a DNF for me.
I keep reading these but I think they just aren't quite my thing. There is little to no angst and the chubbiness of the heroine is basically incidental. While I appreciate there being romances with BBW heroines where the plot does not revolve around her BBW-ness, I prefer the angsty insecure bits. (2.5 stars)
