Beth Dolgner writes paranormal fiction and non-fiction. Her interest in things that go bump in the night really took off on a trip to Savannah, Georgia, so it's fitting that the Betty Boo, Ghost Hunter Series of paranormal romance novels takes place in that spooky city. Beth's young adult novels, the steampunk Manifest and the urban fantasy A Talent for Death, also have paranormal elements. Her non-fiction work includes Georgia Spirits and Specters and Everyday Voodoo.

Since Georgia is obviously on her mind, you might think Beth lives there. Well, she did, but these days she and her husband live in Berlin, Germany, with their three cats. Beth misses those mild Georgia winters and proper iced tea, but there's no reason her characters can't enjoy those things.

Beth also enjoys giving presentations on Victorian death and mourning traditions as well as Victorian Spiritualism. She has been a volunteer at an historic cemetery, a ghost tour guide and a paranormal investigator. Right now she's chronicling the best spooky spots around Europe.

Beth is online at www.BethDolgner.com.

A great finish to a great series.
Betty and Maxwell are back together when Betty gets a call to investigate a violent ghost, and that is just the first of a few similar calls which all have resemblances to some of Betty’s earlier cases.
Betty seems to be a target of the hunters and then by a group of demons and they discover that both her house and Maxwells have been consecrated to prevent Maxwell going in. For some reason everyone seems to be after her. After moving in with Daisy and Shaun, things keep getting worse, Carter is also attacked.
This book has a fair amount of action, a whole bunch of surprises, some suspense, shock, mystery and humour.
This book was a bit more serious than some of the others but it was a wonderful read and I must admit I never expected the ending but it was perfect.
I loved it.
Definitely a series I would recommend.

Book 4 and end of a fabulous series. Beth Dodger wrote a tell that will grab your heat with all the twists and turns. I highly recommend this book 4 but the whole series
Betty Boo is a ghost hunter but from book 1 you saw her connection to Max ( max is a minor demon, who’s trying not to go back to the land ruled by demons ) Betty and Maxwell are being hunted , yep you guessed it . Not only those two but all the characters.
The ending will shock you to the core , you never saw it coming. Wow what a way for the series to end. I highly recommend it .

Lisa Bozek performance was fantastic. Her voice is strong, smooth and clear. She did all the scenes fantastic

What an ending!!

I absolutely loved this series!
Betty Boo, Ghost Hunter series is everything a paranormal mystery romance series should be!

Ghost of a Hope was the ending I didn't expect. I loved how this novel played out. Life for Betty doesn't get any easier and I felt so sorry for her, the introduction of a psychic made for an interesting read, I was raging about Lou, I thought after the last book he may have changed his ways but nope!
As with all the others this novel is fantastically written and the direction it went was surprising. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and omg that ending!!

I highly recommend reading anything by Beth Dolgner, she's become a firm favourite!

That was brilliant and completely unexpected. I did not see that ending coming at all. That's actually one of the things I love best about this book and this series. It's unpredictable. This was... okay, I said this after book two and book three, but WOW, just WOW! This book takes you on a labyrinthine journey before you finally figure what's going on, and then, bam, an ending you don't see coming.

The storyline is fantastic. The characters are phenomenal. The series is a tightly woven story that is seriously, unputdownable! I read all four books in two days... plus a novella. I was transfixed and completely pulled in. I loved it, loved it, loved it. If I could give it more than five stars, I would. I highly recommend this series.

The story is how Betty and Maxwell deal with the demon hunters and how they end up with all of their friends lives on the line along with their own. The little last minute twist to wrap up the series is a brilliant way to end it.
I enjoyed how the friends all rally round, even though Daisy is pregnant and how protective Betty is of her, fortunately she is fine and while she does help out and it gets hairy there for a bit, she isn't hurt. The demons, the ghosts and the way of life has to give though and Betty goes through the wringer many times almost dying. It's a brilliant story and wraps up the series nicely.

I am so sad this series is over. I could not work out how it was going to resolve and I loved how it wrapped up! It makes such a great change to abandon the trope where the human becomes immortal and to flip it so that humanity is the endgame. There were a couple of loose ends that were never satisfactorily tied up (was it Maxwell who let loose the demon in Sam’s house in book one? Hope did he even know there was a lower level demon in there if not?) but overall everything was tied up beautifully. I liked how Carter became the most unlikely friend, despite being a huge asshat. I wish I could read it all again for the first time.

I enjoyed book 4 of the "Betty Boo, Ghost Hunter Series" quite a lot. It saddened me to know that this was the end of the series, as I've grown to like the characters. I was very entertained by all the twists and turns found within the pages. I was pleased with the way the story ended. I recommend this series to others who enjoy this genre. Lisa Bozek's narration was awesome and enhanced the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Perfect Ending to a Great Series

After binge reading all four of these books, I recommend you don't hesitate...Get These Books asap! A wonderful, romantic, and brave series with characters you can't but root for. Betty and Maxwell are a ghost hunter and a demon who fall in love. Nobody but nobody wants this relationship to work but they keep going through the wars, magic, and angry fanatics. A nifty twist to the ending made me cry and laugh. Do yourself a big favor and enjoy these books.

A great series

Loved this book so much that I finished it before book 3. Even though Lou wasn't my favorite character, he did serve a purpose for the sweet happy ending. Good that even Carter had his happy ending.

Lights, camera, action

My only regret is that the series is done. Lots of cameras definitely lots of action. Very well written story, hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Today is a sad day in my little world. The words you’re reading are me posting a review for the last time on the Betty Boo series by Beth Dolgner. It seems like forever ago that I picked up Ghost of a Threat. I blew through it in a matter of hours, instantly taking a liking to Betty and Maxwell. Maxwell, Maxwell, Maxwell. There’s just something about Maxwell…..

Then came Ghost of a Whisper, the first book in the series to successfully make my heart ache for the characters. There may have been a teary eye here and there too but the main feeling for that book is best described as heart ache….

Ghost of a Memory was the third installment. Memory takes you through a wide range of emotions. The biggest ones being anger, heart ache, fear, relief, and grief.

Now, we have Ghost of a Hope. This is the fourth and final installment in the Betty Boo series and I am so sad to see her go.

Following the combined events of the previous three books, Betty and Maxwell are being hunted. Both of them have blood on their hands and spending all of their time looking over their shoulders expecting that one day, a price is going to have to be paid for that blood. Little do they know, everything is not as it seems.

The thing I loved most about this book was the big mystery of the day. As the Seekers are investigating a strings of unusually violent hauntings, the story is written in such a way that the big mystery actually ties all four of the books together. By the end of Ghost of a Hope, you get the sense that everything in the story has come full circle and are reminded of details from back in book one.

As with all of the Betty Boo books, this was another very fast read. Once I was engrossed in the story, that was it. I couldn’t put it down. I blew through it in a grand total of about 4 hours of reading (maybe) and never hit a single plot line pot hole.

Warning: Readers and fans WILL need tissues.

So picture this….

I am sitting at my desk on my break at work. I have the pdf of Ghost of a Hope open on my computer screen and I am feverishly reading as I am on the last 5-10 pages of the book. Suddenly and event in the book happens and I gasp and cover my mouth. This is something that almost never happens with me – except when watching videos of bad skateboarding accidents or nut shots on America’s Funniest Videos. I keep reading. The event I was HORRIFIED over has just taken a drastically different turn and THAT, kids, is when the water works started. I had tears rolling down each of my cheeks. And it just got worse. And worse. And worse. I swear to you all – MY. HEART. BROKE. I was devastated. As a fan of this series, you get to know the characters and you sort of fall in love with them. They’re like family by the time you’re done. This event that happens will just STUN you. I didn’t stop crying until I e-mailed the author to let her know that she made me cry like a big baby.

And I refuse to tell you what the event is or how it turns out. GO READ THE BOOK! Well, you can’t read the book yet as it doesn’t come out until some time in August but you can certainly catch up by reading the rest of the series! *wink wink*

Overall, I am giving Ghost of a Hope 5 stars. Another fast and entertaining read in a whole series of fast and entertaining reads. And I don’t think I could have written a better fangirl ending! Great book! Well worth adding to your Kindle! I adored this series from beginning to end!

I am so sad that this is the last in the series. I have enjoyed it so much I'm not sure I want it to be over.

The other books were full of action and mystery but this one was such a bomb dropper. I didn't see the end coming. Wow is all I have to say.

This was a very fast read that kept me constantly turning the pages!!
