Hell Inc.

Rate this book
Ginger's life was already full of cliches - sexy demons in business suits, smart mouthed genies, and angry, French kissing yetis to name a few - so what was wrong with one more? Why shouldn't she have sold her soul to the Devil for three wishes? Brendan Fraser did it in Bedazzled, so it couldn't be all bad, right?

Too bad her sexy demon caseworker, Levie, wouldn't put down his romance novels long enough to tell her how to make them. With a slip of the tongue (seriously, all she had to do was say 'I wish?'), Ginger's boring life is now up … well, you know, a certain creek without a paddle.

So whether he likes it not, Levie's going to help Ginger take care of some little problems. Her ex-addict mother is attempting to kidnap her, and on top of it all, Ginger's managed to bestow her 'gift' of supernatural sight on some fellow museum goers. Neither of these would be problems if Hell, Inc.'s genies hadn't mysteriously disappeared. They're the only ones who can undo Ginger's wishes and get her off the hook. If only she could figure out where the hell to find them

C.M. Stunich is a self-admitted bibliophile with a love for exotic teas and a whole host of characters who live full time inside the strange, swirling vortex of her thoughts. Some folks might call this crazy, but Caitlin Morgan doesn't mind - especially considering she has to write biographies in the third person. Oh, and half the host of characters in her head are searing hot bad boys with dirty mouths and skillful hands (among other things). If being crazy means hanging out with them everyday, C.M. has decided to have herself committed.

She hates tapioca pudding, loves to binge on cheesy horror movies, and is a slave to many cats. When she's not vacuuming fur off of her couch, C.M. can be found with her nose buried in a book or her eyes glued to a computer screen. She's the author of over thirty novels - romance, new adult, fantasy, and young adult included. Please, come and join her inside her crazy. There's a heck of a lot to do there.

Oh, and Caitlin loves to chat (incessantly), so feel free to e-mail her, send her a Facebook message, or put up smoke signals. She's already looking forward to it.

If you're a fan of paranormal romance, especially the silly kind, check this out. Yes, the plot is ridiculous and the main character is a bit slow, but that's what makes it good. If you enjoyed "Must Love Dragons" by Stephanie Rowe, "Tall, Dark & Dead" by Tate Hallaway, or "Witchful Thinking" by H.P. Mallory then you'll probably like this. The love interest was campy and silly and there were enough ridiculous paranormal entities to fill a ball bin at a playground. I hope there's a sequel or at least something written in the same vein.

Demon virgins, crazy monsters and selling your soul to the devil... sounds like a good time and it was! The book is fast paced, funny and takes some unexpected turns. I loved the sphinx and the other characters that you never see in paranormal books. Yeti's? 3 headed poodles? What's not to love!

This book was weird for me. In the beginning it was good and fun and then it just became so convoluted. And weird. I ended up skimming the last 20% or so.

Running thoughts:

Ahhh. Back to CM; my favorite place to be.

I’ve already started laughing.

“Uncle Lucifer” *snorts*

Wait, who is Michael? Is that a typo?

This book is kind of weird. Funny, but Terrence is obvi evil and Ginger is too much of a moron to notice it.

I do enjoy all of the riddles.

See? Told you he was bad news.

What is even happening anymore.

It had so much potential but there were too many scenes and the plot was confusing. the story also dragged a bit in the first 50%.

A bit round about story wise. I liked Ginger and Levi’s interaction. Favourite character was the Sphinx. Some points are funny and others feel dragged out or chaotic. Glad I read it though.

Ginger has decided to sell her soul in exchange to not see fairies and all creatures of myth and legends.Little do she know her caseworker demon os her mate set up by the devil himself. Upon being assigned to this demon he starts to grow on her but while waiting to make her wishes she actually makes wishes by mistakes that causes the how paranormal world to come for her. Good book funny.

As much as I LOVE CM Stunich's badboy rockers & bikers, it must be said- this woman has a way with the paranormal that's hard to come by. No two stories are alike, I know I have said this before but it continues to hold true. I've read book after book of hers over the past two weeks or so and every single experience is unique. As a book need, I'm in Heaven.

"I swear on my mother's tits, if I get a summoning call from one more group of grubby, pimply faced teenagers in black robes with inverted pentagrams tattooed on their asses, I might actually show up and... and... Well, I'm not sure what I would do, but it would be horrible."

Hell INC. is a buffet of supernatural creatures- from demons & vampires, to minotaurs, Cyclops, pixies, yetis, a sphinx & everything in-between, PLUS the devil himself!! Ginger is human but was born with the ability to "see" things others cannot. She makes a deal with the devil-three wishes, the cost? Her soul. Seems pretty straight-forward right? Not so much. The caseworker she's been assigned to guide her through her first wish is Levie, who not only is a demon but he's the devils friggin nephew. Levie is pissed about his new assignment. He despises humans in general, feels he is above them and shows this to Ginger at every opportunity with everything he says. He would rather bury himself in his books, and get this-he reads smut!! I LOVED that little detail. Unfortunately, his lack of attention to Ginger causes her first two (accidental) wishes to become quite chaotic. That's all I'm gonna say on the matter.

In all of my life, the creatures that I had seen had never looked twice at me without my giving them a reason to do so. Today, they were all staring at me. Every single one of them, from the sirens standing next to me at the bus stop to the gargoyles on the roof of the library, they glared at me as if I were the single most offensive thing on the planet. Creatures that I hadn't known were even capable of glowering, such as the nine tailed fox in the crosswalk, were giving me the look as well.

Non-stop action, plenty of twists and surprises, lots of snark, unlimited amazing characters, and super hott demon sex (yeah, I went there)!! Love, love, LOVED IT! CM Stunich has permanently landed herself on my all-time favorite authors list. Anything she writes in the future will land itself on my bookshelf, no questions asked.

Alright, I need to admit something. I thought this would probably be the one Stunich book that was just "okay." All of her books can't be that amazing, right? And this one sounded kinda cheesy....

I was wrong. I'm glad I was :).

The book was indeed amazing. It had my head spinning in a great way. I was kept guessing, kept going through all kinds of crazy and frightening twists and turns, kept begging for her to realize what's in front of her. The story was just awesome.

Ginger. Yeah, this chick was great. I loved her because she was really just confused and vulnerable and just downright scared, but she put her game face on and kept trucking on. The guilt weighted on her pretty hard, because she just wanted something more out of life and it all went to Hell. Literally and figuratively. She wasn't this overly confident, "fuck you" type chick that I expected, but she wasn't rolling over or backing down either and I loved it.
Levie. <3 I really wanted to hate this guy. He is an asshole, after all. I figured that he was just acting like an asshole at first because he really didn't want to like Ginger.

I really don't want to talk too much on the other characters because I feel that it could get spoilerific pretty fast. The were characters, and there were creatures, and there were creature-characters. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Stunich has an incredible imagination.
I was fascinated by this view of the world. Creatures that should very hard to envision are clear as day in my mind because the descriptions are so vivid. Oddly enough, I found the human characters (aside from Ginger) to be the most annoying. Especially Erin. Oy.

Overall, I absolutely loved this book, and that surprised me, even though it really shouldn't have. C.M. Stunich is a fantastic author- I've already decided that I'm going to devour every single one of her books that I can get my greedy hands on. Please, never stop writing. :)

***** UPDATE *****

I've reread this book at least 5 times. I read it when I just need something to make me feel good. Seriously, this book is like chocolate ice cream to me. I don't know how it got that way, but there it is. Thanks again, Ms. Stunich.

OMG!!! never in my life would i ever consider giving Ms. C.M. Stunich's books any rating less than 5 stars but.. I'm truly sorry that I have to give this one. I actually have quite a difficult time finding this book. when i first read the synopsis, I wanted it.... I wanted it so bad. the story looks seriously fun and i think the plot is unique as hell. I waited for so long for the book to come to my local store...i pre-ordered it and waited... waited ... waited.... when it did come, i drove in... like yesterday LOL...

I really like the book. I really do. the characters, the plot, almost everything were great... but I just have quite a hard time reading them... there are so many interesting characters, so many things going on... so much so that I kinda get confused along the way. The heroine is sassy, funny but well... quite borderline annoying. I kinda have a love-hate relationship with this one. the hero, LOL, Levie is hot... as in i love guy who wear (or not wear..hahahaha) glasses, nerdy hot is hot... although I just got a little wide-eyed when he declares his love for our heroine, Ginger, after a series of questionable actions... i mean, erm, I kinda get that demon is complicated and all... but his attitude towards Ginger is complicated as hell...

The plot... the idea is so very imaginative... however, i guess it will be better if it is better elaborated into, maybeeee, 3 books.... I mean the pace is actually okay... but the series of events that are going on in the books are worthy of better description... i think.

well all in all I get the book. I think i understand it but there are just too many confusing elements for me to give it a 5 stars. so this book (sob) only get 4.... (sobbb)

This book is absolutely hilarious! Poor Ginger can't seem to keep herself out of trouble, but who could with yetis, demons, fairies and vampires all working against her as she tries to find a way to live a normal life. I couldn't help but chuckle at her accidental wishes and the chaos that they resulted in.

Ginger and Levie are very well developed and it's easy to root for their interesting take on a relationship. The action and hilarity are nonstop, so I definitely recommend this quick paranormal read.

This was an outrageously hilarious romp with just about every paranormal being ever described in print. Erotica reading demons, voyeuristic sphinxes, Martini swilling genies, Cyclops whose breath contribute to the destruction of the ozone layer and pissed off faeries are just a few of the laugh aloud characters in this brilliantly unusual paranormal romance.

I cannot say that I really like the book. Altough, I read it through the end. I wanted to know how all this would finish. I wasn't impress, but it was ok.

If you want to have a light absurd book, it's perfect for that.

Love the sphynx !
