I think that who ever reads this book would love it. It's about the adventure of two kids that face pirates to save Savage Island(their home). The pirates are trying to find a long lost treasure left on the island by Britain after the revolution. The two kids need the help of the farmers to find the treasure before the pirates, and win their freedom.

As One Book Bradford is bring author Lenore Hard to our town next month, I wanted to read as much of her work as possible. This is a children's book, but I enjoyed it very much and expect that young teenagers do as well.

Eh, it was just okay. The author never successfully got me excited about what was going on in the story, and the characters never grew on me. The writing style feels dated. It's not something I really wanted or expected from a current action-adventure story.
