Hello!
Thank you for stopping by.
The short story is I was born in Toronto, Canada. When I was 16, my family moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and that is where I met my wife, Bev.
We've been married for 43 years and share our home in Southwest Missouri with 4 dogs, 3 cats, 8 chickens, a herd of goats. We have 3 sons and 12 grandchildren that keep us hopping.
I've been known to ride my motorcycle in nice weather, play golf in nice weather, and tend my garden in nice weather. In bad weather, I prefer to stay inside. :)
Thanks to the support of you, our readers, I've been able to devote full time to my writing. Bev does our cover designs.
We hope you our books are enjoyable and you'll let us know.
Please feel free to contact us at: jdalglish7@gmail.com or on Facebook
God Bless, John & Bev

Another clean suspenseful story.

Detective Strong, after the serial killer, but when a person he cares abducted, he has to do everything he can do to find the killer. We know who the killer is, only suspense is how and when he will be found.

Short but sweet. This was a nice crime story without the author resorting to trashy gimmicks to try to amp up the suspense level. The characters were nicely written and were not obnoxious. It's refreshing to read this kind of book without having torture porn, sex and lame backstories added. There will apparently be a third book to this series, which hopefully means there will be many more Jason stories to come. Worth a read.

This is the second book in a series and it did not disappoint. Detective Jason Strong returns for another murder investigation, the book picks up where the first one left off and it's not long before he is involved in a murder investigation.

I reviewed the first book in the series "where's my son", I stated I needed to catch my breath as the story was fast paced and gripping, this is just as gripping and I am really enjoying following the series.

Detective Jason Strong is an interesting character and I love following his story. This book introduces his new partner Vanessa and she is equally as interesting. You can't help but love the partnership.

The parts about the investigations are the parts which keep me completely hooked, they are so in detail and intricate.

This author does a great job of keeping the reader engaged and the killers are dark characters who do not appear to show any remorse. I don't want to give too much away but this book is a must for readers who enjoy mystery stories with a dark twist.

Another 5 stars from me and I can not wait for the next in the series.

This is a police procedural, not really a mystery. I worried a little because sometimes books described as "clean" or "Christian" can be (to me) preachy. That is not the case here. It is clean, I don't need graphic sex scenes in a mystery - they always seem included just as a gimmick anyway. And no preaching.

This is the second book, I didn't read the first, but I plan to track it down. It worked well as a stand-alone. The writing was very good and the storyline took me along to the end.

Enjoyed this one. I hadn't read the previous Jason Strong novella, but this wasn't an issue in reading Bloodstain. The narrative was engaging and the prose well formed. Would happily read another from Mr Dalglish.

Bloodstain is a relative short story about a serial killer who leaves a trademark wine glass at each murder scene. He targets certain women who are tall, brunette and in their 20’s. Detective Jason Strong and his partner Vanessa are assigned to investigate the cases. After killing a few women, the killer then targets Vanessa after observing her at a press conference about the case.

This was a pretty good story with a decent plot, which was nicely paced. However, there was little character development. I never really understood what set the serial killer off other than an insult by a girl who lived down the street.

Paul Heitsch did an admirable job narrating. He brought the characters to life, drawing me into the story. I felt the urgency of Jason and the entire police department after Vanessa was abducted. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my unbiased review.

This was short, quick reading and very well done. The protagonists are San Antonio police officers, one a pregnant woman, the other a man. Women are being shot while tied to trees in a local park. They are nude and posed with a wine glass in their hands. You know who the antagonist is from the start, but the procedural work done by these officers in locating and capturing this killer was captivating.

Excellent! Heart Pounding!

This very intriguing suspenseful novel kept me engaged, on the edge of my seat and sometimes in tears. A serial killer with a revenge vendetta is targeting young women. Detective Jason Strong (whom I already love) and his partner Vanessa Layne are tasked with finding this monster. Racing against time in order to prevent another murder, they are up against several obstacles. Things take a more sinister turn when the madman targets someone much to close to home.

Non stop suspense, I was holding my breath near the end and found myself praying along with every one else. This is truly the mark of a gifted author. When you become so immersed and lost in a story it takes on the persona of real life and you feel as if you are actually there, and part of everything that's happening!

I have downloaded a total of 10 of these Detective Strong novels, when finished I will download the remainder in the series. I am looking forward to many enjoyable hours of entertainment. Clean reads, well written and very intriguing.

Kudos to the author! Well done...🎉🎉👏👏🌟🌟🌟📚💞

Detective Jason Strong must hunt down a serial killer whose signature is a wine glass. Then someone to Jason is targeted.

Dalglish is an excellent writer. The characters are interesting, causing the reader to like them. The antagonists murdered women because of something that happened to him in his youth.

The plot gripped me. Tension and humor mixed making the story balanced. I loved it.

I look forward to the next book in this clean series.

Another fun story. I'm loving the characters. On to book #3!
Some more technical details for you. SAPD doesn't hire from other Academies. You must attend their Academy. SA does have three other fine Police Academies other than SAPDs. San Antonio College & AACOG. UTSA is mainly for their own Police Dept. They will get you into most PDs, but not the major city PDs. Also there is no SA Gen Hos (SAG) We do have a SWG Hos. Southwest Gen Hos.

Mystery/thriller!

I love these mini books. They may be short, but they pack a punch of mystery and thriller for the readers that are into that genre. The characters of the detectives, Jason and Vanessa, are well developed. The dialogue flows smoothly and is believable. I enjoyed the plots and will move on to book three. This series is free for me through Kindle Unlimited.

Excellent Book/Series

Jason Strong Series
I have finished the entire series and have nothing but praise for every one of them! It’s wonderful to have an author who doesn’t rely on bad language for “realism” yet peaks interest in both plot and characters. Excellent series; endearing characters; great reads.

I enjoyed the story and the characters, but the book itself was poorly written. There were grammatical mistakes and misspellings. They were distracting because I felt like I was reading one of my employees' written products and had to go through it with a red correcting pencil. Otherwise, I would have given the book 3 stars.

Bloodstain book 2

DNF. I tried to return after reading prolog and first few pages of chapter 1 but Amz wouldn't let me. I bought it before I read book one which I DNF. This book, too, is written mostly in the killers point of view which I don't like. So if you like that type of book, try it out.

Another good read.

I was hooked by the first paragraph. The feeling never left me till the end. These books are not too long and sometimes not long enough, you don't want them to end. Looking forward to the next one.

A decent enough story, it in my opinion detective Jason Strong made a huge mistake in the end that could have altered the ending.

I loved every aspect of this book. I listened to the audiobook, and thought that Paul Heitsch did an excellent job. Especially because as he read the female characters parts, he didn't give them the "Minnie Mouse" voice, nicely done Paul!
The story line was very exciting, Detectives Jason and Vanessa trying to find a serial killer on the loose. The latest victim survives and the detectives are able to piece the killers identity together with her help, but will it be in time to save the killer's newest victim?? It was definitely a thrill ride to walk through the investigation with two very likeable characters such as Jason and Vanessa.
This book is part of a series, and I did not read or listen to the first one. It seems that this book can stand alone because I did not feel like I was missing any pieces to a puzzle when listening to it.

I just finished this book and had to take a minute to catch my breath. This one is the 2nd in the Det. Jason Strong series and it's as good if not better than the first one. Great suspense story. A serial killer is on the loose and his victims fit a certain profile. Too late they discover that Det. Strong's partner fits the profile so it's a race to find this guy before he kills his latest victim. This author can really tell a story and keep you glued to the end. My heart is still pounding. I can't wait till his next book comes out. Now I have to figure out how to sleep tonight. Maybe I should read a cheesy romance novel next. Nah, I do love my suspense thrillers, and this one is another winner from John Dalglish!
