A collection of riveting short stories about four of the best-known creatures in paranormal mythology--witches, werewolves, vampires and ghosts. While the accounts are dramatized, each is based on events believed to be true. Above all, they're fun to read, full of memorable characters.
The only story I really liked was the one at the end. The others middle way through one was left frustrated wondering what happened next and how a few could have been reported to have been true or near enough true when there was nothing to say anyone lived to tell the tale. Finally Bela Lugosi didn't request to be buried in his cape. His son and wife assumed he did as his final wish, on reading on Bela Lugosi it was likely to be the furthest thing he would ever want.
Took me a while to get through it due to lack of motivation but it was very informative- well, as informative as it gets when it comes to fictional beings.
Scared the hell out of me and I am fairly hardened to this kind of thing. I'm 33 years old and am sleeping with the lights on. She knows how to tell a story and is handy with a nasty/downbeat ending.
