The history of Montana, and the Harvey House, are entwined in three stories in one giant volume.
I didn’t know anything about the Harvey Girls. They worked hard and with ethical standards.
Thank you, Tracie Peterson, for your research and dedication to giving readers your talented ways to create real historical fiction. Loved all three stories.

I knew almost nothing about the Harvey Girls and even less about the Fred Harvey chain of railway hotels and restaurants, before I read this series by Tracie Peterson. I found this to be fascinating history and I thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy of three historical romance stories with Harvey Girls as the heroines.

I found the history of the Fred Harvey Hotel/Restaurants and the Harvey Girls absolutely fascinating. How brave/desperate these young single women from the eastern US had to be to leave everything/everyone they knew to travel alone to the wild still untamed western US to work for the Fred Harvey chain.

Loved reading how they were trained, and how the dinner orders were telegraphed ahead to the hotel kitchen, so that they were hot and ready when the train passengers arrived at the next stop!

The sweet romances were icing on the cake!

Also be sure to read more Harvey Girl romances in her Westward Chronicles trilogy.

A Shelter Of Hope,Hidden in a Whisper, and A Veiled Reflection.

Excellent character and story development. I was very impressed by the skill of this author to educate me while entertaining me.

My grandmother was a "Harvey Girl" before she was married so this book was interesting to read.

Did not enjoy this series as much as the Alaskan Quest Series. May try another series in the future.
