This book has some very interesting facts that I didn't know about! It talked about how bees use ultraviolet markings to find the nectar in flowers. I also thought it was interesting that the bees do a dance to signal they found nectar. This book has extra facts about bees and honey at the back of the book! It would be a great book for young children to learn about bees.

This book taught me so much that I did not know about bees. If someone needed information about honey bees, I would recommend this book over an others. It talks about the roles of different bees in a hive, what they do, and their lifespan. The images are helpful in giving visuals to the facts. Overall, this book was great with a lot of information.

Rockwell explains bee society in straightforward prose and leaves it to the reader to note how strange and fascinating bees are. The illustrations--especially the one of the potential queen bees fighting to the death--bring the bees to vivid life.

The book taught me stuff I didn't even know about bees. And the illustration was so realistic. Even though I felt as if I might of gotten stung by a bee just touching the pages. It was a good book and very informal about a bees life.

What stood out most about this book to me, was the illustrations. The illustrations in this book are realistic and capture the strangeness of bees. Full of information about honeybees and their honey.
