Cerita ini bagus juga... Cukup mengeluarkan emosi. Bahkan Aku agak bingung mw memberi rating 3 atau 4 ini. Question of Love dipenuhi humor, luar biasa mengharukan dan dengan lancar tertulis seluruh melahapnya dengan sekali ucapan. Dengan latar belakang, seorang wanita yang memiliki otak tangkas dan pembawa acara kuis cemerlang inventif, Laura Quick, tokoh utama yg menyegarkan. Ceritanya tentang kisah cinta yang agak rumit, tapi kuakui aku menyukai endingnya. Karakter yang punya pekerjaan yang tidak biasa juga bikin seru ceritanya. nah, di bab Awal hingga pertengahan ceritanya masih biasa aja, sekedar perkenalan romantis antara Laura sama Luke, dan membuatku menguap lebar dan sakingnya bosan dg Luke, pria sok ganteng dan tolol (sungguh deh, aku tdk mengerti knp Laura mau mencoba berhubungan dg nya.) namun memasuki beberapa bab terakhir, mulai muncul konflik dan titik terang. Astagaaa, akuuuuu suka banget sama endingnya karena menawarkan sesuatu yang lain.

La seule attente que j’avais lorsque j’ai pioché ce roman dans ma bibliothèque était de lire une histoire légère sans prise de tête.
Je n’avais pas prévu me coucher à pas d’heure un jour de semaine pour connaitre la conclusion de l’histoire!
J’ai apprécié le personnage principal, Laura Quick qui a un boulot peu banal, présentatrice de quizz télévisé.
La conclusion était prévisible dès le premier chapitre. Par contre, entre le premier et le dernier chapitre, j’ai rencontré une héroïne fort sympathique, un peu embrouillée et loin d’être nunuche.
J’ai aussi été étonnée par la description d’un coin très précis de l’Estrie (région du Québec) qu’a faite l’auteure britannique vers la fin du roman. Sa description détaillée et juste implique une bonne connaissance (ou une recherche) de ma belle région. De mon point de vue, elle a mieux réussi que certains auteurs québécois.

Este livro de Isabel Wolff é uma caixinha de surpresas agradáveis. Pois nos presenteia com um desenrolar de situações/romances vividos pela personagem principal Laura Quick.
O que mais me tocou, foi a mensagem de que nós por vezes ficamos presos ao passado, buscando uma relação que não deu certo. Apesar de ser paradoxal Laura Quick insiste num dado momento (presente) nessa relação, tendo um papel passivo em relação à mesma, até que se apercebe que quando nós tentamos viver histórias do nosso passado que não deram certo nesse passado, não dando certo neste presente, é porque não tinham que dar certo. O que implica por sua vez, o impedir do viver do presente. E por sua vez, a cegueira em valorizar quem sempre esteve com ela em quase todos os momentos da vida dela como grande amigo - o Tom.
Adorei a personalidade de Laura Quick e de Cynthia (fez-me rir). Gostei também das suas irmãs a Hope e a Fliss.
A escritora Isabel Wolff presenteia com este livro o leitor com uma escrita e uma história aliciante.

As all her books (that I've read) are, it's an easy to read and compelling story. I'm just noticing a pattern in the books that I've read where certain aspects of the plot become very predictable, but I suppose that's horses for courses with this genre. A Vintage Affair has definitely been my favourite so far.

A Question of Love is an enjoyable book filled with British humor. I guessed how it was likely to end long before the end, but that didn’t make it any less satisfying. There are quite a few typos/repeated words scattered throughout. I recommend it to people who like women’s fiction and happy endings.

Pleasant reading
Enjoyable story. A romance with lots of twists and turns. First her husband walks out and disappears for over 3 years. Why? Then she remeets her college love. Only one catch. He is still married and has a daughter. Though they are separated, she is a constant presence in Luke’s life. Finally, right in front of her, the man she loves!

Milīgi jauka lasāmviela ar paredzami laimīgām beigām. Ja gribās ko jauku, ar pārpratumiem, nelielu drāmu, kādu noslēpumu, galvenās varones vainas apziņu un happy end, tad šīs autores darbi ir tieši tam paredzēti.

It's an easy read which I found fairly easy to put down. Storyline was ok, though I did find myself questioning why Luke wouldn't just fight for custody.

I can't remember family details of this book for some reason, but I know they are in there.
Girl works for a production company and gets roped into hosting a new game show they are doing. Game show becomes successful and an old boyfriend comes on as a contestant. They get back together. Oh yeaaah, Girl's husband left her and just disappeared. Made some news because it was so strange, but he has never come back. Girl and Boy date and Boy has daughter now from previous marriage. Ex-wife is fucking insane and always threatens to cut off ties between Boy and daughter which FINALLY! drives girl insane and they break up after she finds out that ex-wife went to Venice with Boy and daughter. She ends up with her boss whom she likes, but for most of the book thinks that he left his ex-wife and son for some sleazy actress. He didn't. So they get together.
I hate when people are thrown together at the last moment just for the hell of it. Blah.
But for some reason that I can't remember I kind of liked this book. I liked the lead with the expectation of her staying with the Boy for so long. But I can kind of see why she did and at least she gave him the keys to the street eventually! And it was a good reason why she stayed and he kept making excuses. But the ex-wife was sooo bloody annoying.

Enjoyable. light, entertaining.funny at times and often surprising. Characters discover what happens when you jump to conclusions, others find themselves too naive , trusting and taken advantage of.

I've had this book for quite some time and even though I read good critics about Isabel Wolff's, it was always being put behind by others.
It was a mistake, as now, looking for a light read, I finally decided to pick it up and had a very nice surprise. One of the best of this year.
It's not an usual chick lit book, where we have a (usually) no so bright girl, with a dumb job or no job at all, that can't do anything by herself. And a boy that is going to "save her" and no matter what happens throughout the book, we always know they'll end up together.
Laura is a very intelligent and strong woman, who has gone through some very difficult times due to what happened to her husband. She enconters an old flame and everything seems to point to them living happilly ever after. Or don't they?
With real problems, caracters that also seem real and make us interested in what happens next (oh, but can't we just kill Magda??? arghhhhh!), and also funny moments, I will definitely read more of her books.

Ini baru novel kedua Isabel Wolff yang saya baca, Behaving Badly dan yang ini (karena yang diterjemahkan kayaknya memang baru dua... ;p). Dan sepertinya Wolff cukup berbeda memilih profesi si tokoh utama. Di Behaving Badly, psikiater hewan peliharaan, dan di novel ini, presenter kuis televisi.
Plot dan konflik-konfliknya tipikal, tapi nggak terlalu membosankan untuk disimak sampai ending. Gemes aja sama Laura, gampang dicipoa-in sama Luke (eh, kayaknya nama ini sering banget dipake di berbagai chicklit yak?). Pesan utamanya: romantisme masa lalu sering kali membelenggu dan cinta sejati sebenarnya (kadang) dekat dengan kita.

Um livro tao querido, lê - se bem em dois dias. Uma boa dose de drama e mistério.
Laura Quick salta para as luzes da Ribalta quando surge a oportunidade de ser apresentadora de um programa de TV. O revés da fama é ser falada pelo tablóides, sobre o misterioso desaparecimento do seu marido Nick, sem deixar rasto.
A vida de Laura transforma-se quando encontra um ex namorado e reatam a relação. Porém, ele tem uma filha e uma ex mulher que não o deixa ser feliz com Laura. A par disto temos uma vizinha medium, Tom, o patrão e as duas irmas de Laura com historias de vida interessantes para toda a narrativa do livro.

I read 2 chapters on the 1st day & then forget the book.
I left it at home & on the weekend, I left it at the office.
So, today, I finish it.
And no need to say much, but from the time I read it, it's quite interesting.
To know that love can make people be little crazy or in this book, totally insane.
And to know that, not just a dishonesty that can ruin everything, but also if you keep covering a problem to tight.

The plot is good, in fact, I read the book in less than a day. It's a light read, actually. Although, there were a few tears involved. Maybe because I'm onion-skinned. Nevertheless, the story is good; though it gets a little boring towards the end and the ending is pretty predictable. Anyway, it's a good read especially when you have nothing much to do :)

I read this after Shataram...I needed something "light"
The rating is unfair as I cannot rate this book on the same scale as Shataram or some of my other reads.
"chick lit" is a genre of its own. I usually read this litterature when I need a good mental break!

Dans ce livre, isabel Wolff arrive à nous tenir en haleine et à nous intriguer. Qu'a donc fait le mari de Laura de si épouvantable ?
Et lorsqu'on le sait enfin, on compatit totalement avec elle.
J'ai vraiment été prise à fond dans ce livre.

From what I remember this was chick-lit, but a bit deeper than regular chick-lit. If I am recalling correctly, I think it may even have made me cry!

Gostei do livro. É simples, leve e previsivel, bom para descansar a cabeça. A desgraçada da rapariga tinha cá uma vidinha, tadica, tudo se lhe chegava!
