Was hoping for something more serious featuring deeper analysis

I read this because it was lent to me by a friend as part of understanding fascism in Italy. Whilst I found it really interesting and educational, I expected it to be more about the rise of fascism and I still wasn't sure at the end how Mussolini got his grip so tightly over Italy. But maybe that's on me.
