Arachnophobia was fun but only just. I have never seen the movie but I heard a lot about it so I wanted to read the book to enjoy the story. The book was overwhelmingly childish and it made it seem cartoonish and laughable. I think that this is a rare case where someone should have had the idea and someone else should have written it as a full novel with good characterization and pacing. This would mean of course that two names would appear on the cover with one of those names not having nearly as much talent as the other, but the book would have been better and longer for it. I did enjoy it, but I felt like I was reading something by R. L. Stine or something. It didn’t come close to living up to my expectations which, I will admit, were rather high because of the screams the film caused. It is worth reading but only because it is so short. I think it would be more worth reading if it were written by a writer and made into a book and not a stretched out short story.

Was a understandbale story with a nice pace, as they discover southern native spider went to their town and reproduced at a rapid pace, and could wipe out the world if not contained. It also have four pages with real images from the movie. Will be watching the movie next. It centers on a father rather than his family as he investigates the source of the death around him.

If you enjoyed the 90’s movie you’ll love the novelization print ! Only downfall is the book is short and is based right from the movie so there isn’t anything extra added into the story line or extra dialogue , so if you haven’t watched the movie you may find this book be slightly cheesy and straight to the point.

Creepy, crawly, but funnier than heck as readers get to learn more than they want to know about spiders.

This was a fun read. Barely 120 pages, I wasn't sure how they were going to fit that terrifying movie into it. But they did. And it worked. 😁🕷️

The book Arachnophobia by Nicholas Edwards was a good read. This book is about a group of scientists and their guids taking a study trip to South America. While on the expidition, they find a deadly new species of spiders. One of the spiders were sent to California to be examened. Some how, it makes its way to the house of Dr. Ross Jennings. Dr. Ross carries arachnophobia. The spider later starts to reproduce and the spiders begin to multiply.
My personal opinion of the book was good. It wasn't so boring or too exciting. I give this book a 7 out of 10. I recomend this book to the people who either like to read or like this type of book.
