Fabian Nicieza is a writer and editor who is best known as the co-creator of DEADPOOL and for his work on Marvel titles such as X-Men, X-Force, New Warriors, and Robin.
His first novel, the Edgar Award-nominated SUBURBAN DICKS, a sarcastic murder mystery, is on sale now from Putnam Books.
The Dicks will return in THE SELF-MADE WIDOW, coming June 21st.
It was fun but I didn't understand half of the stuff that was happening. Also, this 90's type of art isn't turning me off the comics as much as I thought it would, I actually dig it. Wow.
Next up: THAT WEIRD BLUE MOUSTACHE GUY and JUGGERNAUT (one of the many b-side X-Men villains) on the chase for the PLOT DEVICE...and guess who they run headlong into?
Plus: SKELETON MAN! The EXECUTIVE ELITE(hopefully no more Directors of Directive Directions)! MORENA BACCARIN! And because no one cares(?!) -- SOME OTHER RANDOM WEAPON X DUDE! See ya in a jiffy!!
It’s really cool, but I’m pretty confused because I just read Cable #4 where Kane and Vanessa are with each other on Hammer’s flying Winnebago. So why’s he now in Sarajevo sweating Deadpool for her whereabouts? Comic book continuity is always whacky, but like, this is written by Fabian Nicieza who also wrote the Cable and X-Force arc including Vanessa. Idk, maybe this is supposed to take place between that? Ay yi yi.
Pretty solid story. I do think some of the backstory requires a little too much knowledge of stuff that went on in recent comics of the time to recommend it to newbies, but while Deadpool doesn’t do the 4th Wall breaking stuff, his personality is starting to be closer to The Merc With The Mouth we all know today than it was in some of his earliest appearances
My first Deadpool comic (really my first Marvel comic) after living the Ryan Reynolds movies since they came out. I honestly didn't know if they'd count as books, but I'm happy to see how diverse the selection is on Good Reads!
In this issue, now that Tolliver is dead (supposedly killed by Cable), anyone who worked for his has a hit out for them because of his will, which left his estate up for grabs. Deadpool goes to visit Weasel and has to get through a bunch of people first because his teleporter is on the fritz. While they are talking, Deadpool tells Weasel that he wants to know what happened to Vanessa, because she disappeared after her friend Tina was killed, "Not like I care for that shapeshifter or anything! I'm worried is all."-Deadpool Then Weapon X walks in and tells Deadpool to start talking or he'll take him down because he also wants to know where Vanessa is. They fight until Weasel interrupts them to point out that they're fighting to get info that neither of them has. Before Weapon X leaves, he lets it slip that Slayback is still alive and kicking, and he's after Deadpool
Meanwhile, The Juggernaut is at a lab demanding to see Black Tom. When the head of the lab shows him, Juggernaut seems shocked....because he has started turning into a tree.

Read this a while back. Going to try and read up on all the Deadpool related material starting with this. Actually I started with New Mutants #98 but because there was no dull moment in the Movie I guess I'm still in a Deadpool Mood!
Soo glad I can read all the arcs/series on Marvel.com, but only if you're a Marvel Unlimited Member.
Might give the game a second chance once I'm up to date with the current Deadpool stuff. Might be more enjoyable now that I'm more familiar with Deadpool.
Hi! I'm grateful that Circle Chase is finally on kindle. It's the first time I've read it, and it's really good. Even if I don't know half the characters!
