This series of books is based on the children's TV show. The book asks for readers to participate in the story by repeating words and saying answers out loud as Diego and his papi try to save a baby sloth. The book does a good job of introducing environmentalism and the idea of taking care of nature to young readers. There are a few Spanish words sprinkled throughout the book, but the diversity is incidental.

My son loves this book but it's very repetitive and poorly written. About every other sentence could be cut out and the book would lose no content. This makes it very annoying to read.

So this one is LITERALLY paternalistic.
