This book shows that behavior is influenced by sensing internal cues and external cues. Plants and animals have structures that aid in growth, survival, and reproduction. Individuals have some responsibility for their own health and nutrition is essential to health.

This story makes the reader think about all the way their brain is used. If gives them different information and real life situations to when they use their brain. Most youngsters may think that you use your brain only in school, but the truth is you are always using it, even when you don’t notice.

Connected Texts:Young Genius: Brains by:Kate Lennard and Think, Think, Think: Learning About Your Brain by:Pamela Hill Nettleton

This text could be used throughout a science unit when students are learning about the human body and could introduce the unit on the brain.

Summary: A book for kids about your brain! I'd put it in the 4-7 range? Maybe younger. #Imnotayouthlibrarian

Why I Read This: I checked out a model of a human brain from the Library and it was included.

Review: It's good. I think kids would like it? It does use the example of "when you turn the page" a little too often to be cute.
