Roni wrote her first romance novel at age fifteen when she discovered writing about boys was way easier than actually talking to them. Since then, her flirting skills haven’t improved, but she likes to think her storytelling ability has. She holds a master’s degree in social work and spent years as a mental health counselor, but now she writes full time from her cozy office in North Texas where she puts her characters on the therapy couch instead. She is a two-time RITA Award winner and a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author.

Rating: B+ ... Heat: Hot

Marcela ‘Cela’ Medina is a newly graduated veterinary doctor. For seven years, all she has focused on is her education. And all work and no play has made Cela a boring, boring girl. That and growing up in a strict household. Letting loose and having fun doesn’t come easy to her. Her one naughty vice? She listens to her two hot neighbors going at it—solo, with a random woman, or in a threesome.

One of her neighbors, Ian Foster, is always in suits and ties. He looks like all business—in and out of the bedroom. And, just like Cela has always had her eye (and ear) on Ian, he’s always had a thing for his innocent and vanilla neighbor. Though he knows his proclivities aren’t what the innocent graduate wants or needs (as he’s a member of the bdsm club, The Ranch, from Roni Loren’s Loving on the Edge series).

In Part One: Until You Dare, Cela decides that she wants to live it up before leaving the big city to return to her hometown. Where she’ll work at her family's vet practice, date the guy her parents want, and generally have the rest of her life planned out. To celebrate her graduation, Ian and his roommate, Pike (a sexy drummer!), take Cela out for a night of fun. The three get to know each other while dancing and playing Never Have I Ever. It’s a night full of teasing touches, hot kisses, and raging libidos. But only so much can take place in a club...

In Part Two: Until You Risk,

Can I be honest? Me and serial romances have a love/hate relationship. They’re one long, drawn out tease! And nobody likes a tease, right? *wink* But, well, when the writing is fantastic and the characters are lovable and the romance is scorching… I’ll make an exception. Roni Loren’s Not Until You is worth the week long wait in between installments. Plus, who better to make a tease worth it in the end than an author who doubles as a Mistress with a pen? If anyone can make delayed satisfaction worth it, it’s Roni! Plus, there is my weakness for sexy, dominant older men… so, if that’s your thing too, you’ll love Foster!

Not Until You Dare by Roni Loren is the first part in an eight part e-serial. It's a very quick read and although we don't necessarily get into the "action" that happens in the story, Loren does give us a great set up to this highly anticipated e-serial. In the beginning, we are introduced to Cela, a hard working veterinarian graduate, who's just spent a large portion of her life studying and not really enjoying her life. Armed with a little bit of liquid courage Cela decides that she's finally ready to let loose and have a little fun. And who better to have fun with than the two hotties next door? Ian and Pike create the perfect balance. Ian Foster is really the "Christian Grey" of the story. He's cool, calm and in control except when it comes to Cela. She tends to make him loose his control. Then there's Pike who's fun, laid back and charming, for lack of a better word. Pike is a sexy drummer who's down to just have some fun.

What I liked: I loved that Cela showed some culture in her character. We get to see glimpses of her background, her heritage and her strict family. Cela was easy to like and fun to get to know. I really liked Ian and Pike and just how they're really like a balance beam for one another. Right off the bat you can definitely tell what type of characters they are. I love the build up in this story and I couldn't help but like Foster the most. That said, the story is told in two POVs. In Cela's point-of-view and in Foster's. Part of me wondered why Pike's POV wasn't included, but I'm getting the feeling that this story is really going to end up being about Cela and Ian (Foster).

What I didn't like: I think my one complaint is I do wish Loren would've made part 1 a little longer, but that's just because I became a little greedy with the story. I didn't want it to end. I also hope to see more character development with Pike in the following parts. I love Foster, but I don't want Pike to get neglected.

This opening is super strong! What I love about this one is that it's like New Adult erotic. Or at least I'm anticipating that's where it's headed. If you like sexy NA, books like On Dublin Street, if you like erotic romance then I think you'll love this one for sure.

I love Roni Loren and this smexy serial has TONS of potential. Gonna be super HAAAWT and you know it just in the first installment. Is it wrong that I'm already chanting in my head as I read...go to THE RANCH (the BDSM club from Roni's other books)? LOL.

It's part cute-meet, part bad boys next door and YOLO. Pike is a dirty blond, hot, laid-back drummer in a rock band and Foster, a buttoned up, suit wearing, dark haired, blue eyed BDSM lovin alpha/dom.

-Guess which one I love?

Turns out one of the roomies has had his eye on the quiet vet doctorial student next door and unbeknownst to both men Cela's been fantasizing about what she's heard through the walls for the last two years: moans, slaps, and all and she's tired of being the perfect daughter and scholar. Not to mention -alone- recreating those scenes thinking of the men on the other side of her bedroom wall.

What she doesn't know...is one of the men has heard her and wants to know who she's thinking of when she's doing things all alone...

She's a Dr. now and before she's forced to go home and join the family and her father's vet practice good girl Cela wants more.

It's obviously menage, it's going to be hot as you know what, and as usual, I'm digging one of the men more than the other (does that always happen for anyone else besides me???) and I'm really looking forward to parts 2 and 3. Received ARC for review and can't wait for more!

HATE waiting for all 8 parts!! GAH. But I'm totally hooked and see this going into 5 STAR smexy territory.

I'm normally hesitant to read serials but I am a huge fan of Loren's Loving on the Edge series so I knew I had to read the first installment of Not Until You.

Cela has just graduated from veterinary school. She's spent all her life being the obedient daughter and in a few weeks, she'll be moving back to her hometown to work in her father's practice and date the guy that her family approves of. Cela has been crushing on her neighbors for a year but hasn't done anything but mumble a hello as she scurries to her apartment. Cela is ready to be a little wild before she heads off to her boring life in Palo Verde. Cela shares a wall with her sexy neighbor Ian Foster and has heard some of the sexual exploits of her apartment neighbors. He has starred in many of her fantasies and wonders if he's as good as he sounds.

Ian Foster has the hots for his shy neighbor. Foster and his roommate, Pike, often share women and they both think that Cela is sexy. Foster would like nothing more to have Cela for himself but he thinks she's too innocent for his dark tastes.

Not Until You Dare is super sexy and hot! The serial starts off with a bang and I can't wait to read the next installment. The sexual tension between Foster and Cela is explosive. Foster is a member of The Ranch and he is a Dom. He wants to mold Cela into the woman he knows she can be but doesn't want to scare her. He sees her innocence and isn't sure she can handle what he wants. Foster is very sexy and intense where Pike is boyishly charming and fun.

I love that Cela is Latina. There aren't many ethnic main characters in erotic romances. We get a peek into Cela's conservative, hispanic background. You understand why she's never defied her parents and feels the pressure to be a good girl and not disappoint her father. I will say that my only complaint is Cela's age. I wish she was a little older. From what I can tell, Cela is 24/25 years old. I've been reading a lot of adult romances where the heroine is in her 20s and the hero is in his 30s. It's been bothering me. It's as if older established women aren't sexy anymore. Anyway....

I really enjoyed Not Until You Dare and all I want is for them to go to The Ranch. Hopefully it happens soon. This serial will be released in 8 installments and I am looking forward to each and every one.

Cela's life has always been planned. She'll graduate from grad school, move back home, start working at her dad's vet clinic, and end up dating her ex boyfriend from high school- the only boy to pass her dad's "test". But on her graduation day, Cela realizes that she has a loooong list of things that she's never gotten to do. When her two hot neighbors, who may or may not have been in a few of her fantasies, invite her to play a game of Never Have I Ever, she cannot resist. Who better to scratch her innocent, untouched itch than the two dominant men she'd listened to for all these months through the wall?

I did not know this was a part of a series. I really wish I had. I am far more sexually frustrated by the end of this book than Cela ever was. This was a novella, so I'll keep the review short.

+Holy steam balls batman. Roni Loren does a great job of taking her damn time, teasing the reader with thoughts of naughty, naughty, delicious things. Well done.

+This is rare for me in erotic/adult stories- I LIKED THE FEMALE. I thought she was funny and genuine, and I liked that she wasn't so awkward that it was offputting, but not perfect and cool as a cucumber either.

+Dom men. Dom men who belong to a BDSM club. Do I need to add more to this plus?

I had never even heard of this author, or series, or anything, but I'll be damned if I don't read the rest of these. This is a short, tempting, erotic read that is a great little quickie for the impurer reader. I definitely recommend it. (If sex or BDSM or menages offend you- this is NOT for you!)

What can I say? Roni has done it again! Between Cela's first time angst, Fosters sexy as hell underlying dominance, and Pike's bad boy fun loving attitude I think I may have just found my favorite read of all times. It's no surprise to me that Roni has yet again rocked my world with her amazing writing abilities. I love the little (and i do mean little at this point) insights that she gives to each characters personal life history. Truly intriguing. Waiting to get more of their back stories and how it will make for a HEA (which I'm hoping for) has me as excited as their first night together. I totally do not mind that this threesome doesn't start out at The Ranch. It gives us soo much more to look forward to. My big question is what will Andre think about his sis joining rank with him at The Ranch. Does she even know about his relationship with Jace & Evan. Being a faithful Roni Loren reader I love how she incorporates characters from past books into this serial. I have to say the cliffhanger is making me crazy but I know that part II will be well worth the wait. Thank you Roni you rock!

Not Until You Dare- Part 1 Ebook by Roni Loren. ( She writes more BDSM) So if you only want "Vanilla" romance this is going to be to HOT for you. Cela has just graduated Veterinary school. She is just going to have a quiet night celebrating alone at home. Her next door neighbors Pike and Foster whom she has been secretly lusting after for over a year would love to help her celebrate. Their idea and her idea are different. Cela's life has been planned out for as long as she can remember. She is a good girl. Can she let down her defenses and have her sexy next door neighbors Pike and Foster help her open up her bad girl before she has to move back to her family? Read this amazingly hot part 1 and find out. I give this 5 stars! I could NOT put this ebook down. I finished it so fast, wanting and needing more! I will be counting down until NEXT Tuesday, for part 2!! 5 stars!!! OMG this is a hot sexy read!!! I LOVE Roni Loren's writing!!! I am a HUGE fan!! I say the HOTTER the BETTER!!!

Roni Loren is soooooooooooo mean :P I had promised myself that I wasn't going to read any of the Loving on the Edge series until I could get ALL of it but of course I caved in and just as I had expected she left it on a knife edge and now I've got to wait a whole week for the next part :( On the upside it so was so well worth it!

<3 Pike <3<3<3 Foster and with the possibility of Andre and (fingers crossed) hopefully Jace thrown in at a later point it's the promise of everything I've come to love about her books.

THEN to be really, really mean she throws in the preview of Caught up in You - which I had deliberately NOT read before .... boy oh boy she really knows how to build the anticipation! And all before 7am on a wet and grey Tuesday morning!

Only downside was that I already had the book on pre-order from Amazon so missed out on the freebie from Goodreads lol

Damn. I was trying really hard not to do the serial thing (mainly because I think they're more expensive and also because I hate cliffhangers!) but Part 1 was offered for free on GoodReads and I can't turn down free.

I was NOT disappointed. I could have used a little more description of what the guys looked like, but can you say hello hotness!?!? Cela is in for a treat and I think readers will be too. This is the first of Loren's books that I've picked up (downloaded, whatever) and I'm going to have to look at her other stuff ASAP. But making us wait 8 weeks to get them all?!?! So sad, especially because I like my books in one delicious helping. Guess I'll have to order all of them and just mark my calendar for when the last one comes out so I can read them all in a row.

It's a short quick read, but a good one. I have to laugh at the comical reactions of Pike when he realized that Cela could hear his make out sessions with the girls he & Foster brought home. It was also comical when he found out that Foster knew she could hear because he had heard her in her own bedroom at night. They're trying to take it slow but man they're having a hard time. Think the rest of this is going to be really interesting & one that I won't be able to put down until I finish it all. I love Roni Loren's writing having read the others in this series.

I need the next installment now. Love Pike, he's funny and says what he's thinking. He's the tattooed bad boy who's all charms. I love Foster's dominance. He can't hide his dominant side and Cela brings it out of him with her inexperience.

I've never read an e-series before but this one got off to a great start and has me wanting more. I love all of Roni Loren's books. I highly recommend any of her books and this e-series.

Read this on the plane -- CANNOT WAIT for part two. But man, I want to kick Andre for letting his parents brow-beat his sister about what girls should and shouldn't be doing. All I have to say is that when/if Andre and Cela cross paths at the Ranch (please let it happen!) he had better be full on supportive! OR ELSE.

I loved the first installment of this serial. Loved Cela, reminds me of me at that age. Not everything, but I could certainly relate to her. Pike made me laugh, but Foster...yeah. Really liked Foster. And even though this was just the beginning, it was pretty steamy. Can't wait for the next installment.

TOO SHORT!

ARG! What else can I say. Ms. Loren once again delivers in a major way, BUT leaves us hanging until the 18th when part II releases. How dare she?? I definitely won't hesitate on buying the next installment - and I'll be rereading this short story before continuing on.

Overview(s)

Not Until You Dare:

On the night of her graduation, innocent veterinary student Cela decides to play a game of Never Have I Ever with the two hot neighbors she’s been quietly crushing on for the last year. Always the prim and proper student, Cela thinks she’s earned a wild night before she has to move back home under the watchful gaze of her family. But what starts out as a simple game is about to take a very sensual turn...

Ian Foster is tired of playing games. With his membership to The Ranch, an exclusive BDSM resort, and a musician roommate named Pike who brings home groupies with a taste for ménage, Foster has a life most guys would kill for. But lately, his need for dominance is no longer satisfied via one-night stands. He craves the full surrender of one woman—a submissive of his own.

But when his quiet, sweet-as-sugar neighbor shows up at their door with a bottle of tequila and an invitation, Foster decides he and Pike may have time for one more fling…

Not Until You Risk

Cela’s sexy game of Never Have I Ever with her neighbors has turned into a night of Truth or Dare, with her revealing her deepest desires and letting go like she’s never done before. After some seductive dancing, the trio decides to move to a more private location: a swanky hotel where Foster is determined to explore Cela’s wildest fantasies.

As the heat between the three begins to sizzle, Cela finds herself drawn to Foster, whose dominance over her is almost too much to handle. But Cela’s got a secret she hasn’t yet shared, something that could bring their passionate encounter to a screeching halt…

Not Until You Crave

As the threesome returns home from their wild night, Foster is still reeling from the truth about Cela and angry at himself for feeling more than he should for a one night stand. So when he’s confronted by Cela’s angry and protective older brother, he agrees to stay away from his alluring neighbor. He knows he’s got no business messing with a vanilla girl—especially one who tests his self-control at every turn.

Cela’s still not ready to give up on Foster or the intense connection they shared. So when a harmless midnight texting session turns into an irresistible invitation, she can’t say no. But later when she runs into Foster dressed in leather pants and heading out for a late night at The Ranch, she begins to grasp that there’s a whole other side to him she never imagined—a darkness that both intrigues and terrifies her...

Not Until You Trust

Despite desperately wanting to satisfy her curiosity, Foster is not about to introduce Cela to his true dominant side. For one thing, she’s far too innocent to participate in that kind of lifestyle; for another, he doesn’t want to get attached when she’ll be leaving town so soon. But when he comes home after a frustrating day and finds Cela hanging out with Pike, all of Foster’s possessive urges rise to the surface.
Cela is left breathless and shaken after getting a glimpse of Foster’s dominance unleashed. Maybe he was right, and she isn’t ready for something so intense. But when she can’t get her mind off their nights together, she comes up with a daring plan to see just how much they’re both willing to risk…

Not Until You Beg

Foster has been pushed past the point of temptation. So even though he fears Cela’s interest in his world is a passing whim, he agrees to teach her the art of submission. But he’s not going to hold anything back—if she wants to see this side of him, he’s going to show her how deep his dominance runs.

Cela’s initial intrigue begins to give way to doubt as she struggles with the submissive role and the desires it stirs within her. Having spent her whole life being controlled by her domineering father, she’s unsure if she’s ready to put herself under the command of another man. But when she breaks Foster’s most important rule, she puts herself in a situation more intense than she bargained for…

Not Until You Surrender

Cela willingly accepts Foster’s difficult penalty for what she’s done and finds herself more vulnerable and more attracted to him than ever. Unfortunately, she’s also more confused. She’s drawn to Foster’s dark desires but scared by the intensity of her surrender and her growing need for him. So as outside pressures mount, how is she supposed to make the hardest decision of her life?

Foster is falling further and further for Cela, but right as he’s tempted to tell her how he feels, she approaches him with a heartbreaking proposition. There isn’t much Foster wouldn’t sacrifice for Cela’s happiness, but this time that may mean watching the girl he could truly love walk away..

Not Until You Believe

Having flirted with forbidden desires, Cela leaves Foster and returns home to her small Texas town to work in her father’s veterinary practice and embrace a “normal” life. Everything is exactly how she left it—everything except her. But Foster made his feelings clear about their relationship, and she’s determined to find a way forward without him...even if her heart refuses to let go.

Foster knows that he made a mistake in letting Cela go before he told her his true feelings. Intending to set things right, he goes to her hometown to lay himself bare. But when he gets there, he sees Cela in a compromising situation that makes him doubt that they had anything special at all...

Not Until You Love

When Cela walked into his life, scared, innocent, and seeking thrills beyond her wildest dreams, Foster never expected she could become the submissive he’s always desired. Cela has changed, has blossomed into something he can’t resist, and she’s ready and willing to surrender to Foster fully.

But when devastating news reminds Foster how tragically he failed to take care of someone he loved in the past, he wonders what right he has to be with a woman as beautiful and vibrant as Cela. She’ll leave eventually anyway—everyone always does.

But Cela isn’t about to let Foster chase her away. Can she convince this dominant playboy that her love for him is here to stay?

My Thoughts

I really enjoyed this story. i think that it was a reprieve from what i felt yesterday after reading Fall Into You. Anyhow, we are introduced right off the bat to Cela (Marcela) who just happens to be Andre's little sister. That's foreboding if I ever heard it myself. We meet her on the night of her graduation from Vet school when we see her coming home after the ceremony alone w/ a bottle of Tequila. She runs into her two sexy neighbors so you know where this has to go. Alcohol and sexy neighbor boys - and an innocent girl. Yup, my mind goes there.

What we get through this series of stories is what i thought was truly going to be another menage situation with interesting dynamic and power struggles across the board, but we don't get that at all. There are certainly power struggles between Cela and Foster, but Pike turns out to be an all around good guy that's really just a side character.

The nice thing about this installment of the bigger series is that we get the great D/s dynamic, but it's similar to what i got from Cerise Sinclair's Master of the Shadowlands series where the sub isn't really 100% decided that she wants to be part of the scene or even knows what she's getting into. Cela gives Foster a bit of a struggle at EVERY turn and that makes for some very steamy scenes when she does submit. We learn a lot about the level of Pain that Foster likes and how much Cela is willing to put out there without compromising her job, freedom, family and everything else.

What's really nice too is that we get to see Andre interspersed here as well - so you never know what's going to happen. We know that he's hiding his relationship situation from his sister and their family so that's something that I know i kept wondering if i'd see get played out here.

The other great thing about this series of chapters is that Foster has on the surface a charmed life, but it's not ever that easy - and that's kind of what makes him the way that he is - controlling, dominating and into pain. He has this haunted past that really makes us wish for the best outcome, but that would be too nice and tidy if that were the case.

In any event i feel much better about this whole 'Loving on the Edge' series now and thankfully Caught Up In You comes out very soon so we get the next installment even before i've had a chance to cool off from this one. Very steamy, very naughty, and very dynamic.

Abysmal, no saving graces.
Telling us how "funny" and "naturally gifted at putting women at ease" a man is after he expressed wanting to take main girlie upstairs to have sex with her - effectively threatening rape - is definitely not a "funny haha" move. The fact that main girl was laughing, amusedly, after that made me think she's got some screws loose because I interpreted her laugh as "this unwashed middle aged wannabe gigolo is threatening sexual assault, help me".
The same goes for endlessly reiterating how very inexperienced and "innocent" main girl is. She's literally giving 16-year-old virgin hanging out with the type of unhinged frat boys that will absolutely make her play strip poker at 2am. And she's totally in for it because she doesn't have an ounce of self-worth and thinks it's so fun to "gain experiences."
Just have a look at this:

"These two guys weren’t there to embarrass me or laugh at my lack of experience. I’d had that happen once before and would rather become a nun than face that humiliation again. But both of these guys obviously knew I wasn’t Ms. Experienced. If they’d wanted some smooth-talking seductress, they could’ve come here alone and picked up any woman in the place. They were here to have a good time, and they wanted to have it with me. Wasting that opportunity would be like throwing away dessert—a travesty."

"Foster groaned, as if watching another man kiss me both pained and pleased him. His hands slid down to the tops my thighs, precariously close to where I ached the most. And for the first time all night I didn’t feel like a girl among men. I felt womanly and sexy and … brave."

She might be hella educated and smart, but she got some questionable views on womanhood. And that's besides the notion that maybe, just maybe, you shouldn't masturbate on a run-through, fully grown - but still rooming with his oh-so-funny-friend - dude's thigh in a public place.
Apart from all of this, the author gives us absolutely nothing interesting or of value in this entire book. Sure, they drink alcohol and allude to a whole lot of devil's tango/bdsm, but in effect, nothing ever actually happens besides playing never have I ever, which was only partly interesting.
The book leaves us on the most boring cliffhanger, but to make up for it, or rather make things worse, the author just plops in a teaser to a random story with some chick named Kelsey that made me think "I ain't reading all that."

Spare yourself the disappointment - this story is all talk, no do. Makes me glad it cost nothing. Except for one or two hours of my day, of course...

***SPOILER ALERT***

Marcela Medina hasn't done much in her life, sure she's gone to college for seven years to study what she wants to do in life, which is to become a Vet and work within her fathers Veterinary business.

So when Cela finally graduates, on a drunken walk home she decides that she needs to make a change with her life, seeing as she's never been with a man or even had a boyfriend for starters. She's never been out drinking with mates either, always coped up in her own world of studying and obeying her fathers orders.

Though after a spillage of Chinese food outside her door and a bottle of Tequila slowly falling out of her hands, her two neighbours couldn't of come out of their flat at a better time, or worse depending on her state of mind and ability to stand let alone walk.

Foster and Pike have been friends since they we're young, Foster making his way into the world of business, all suits and ties but definitely not work and no play, as there's always time to play in Fosters mind. Pike is a hunky drummer in a local band, given with good looks and a great beat on the musical instrument and with women when it comes to mind. So when they meet Cela, they can't help but stare and other body parts can't stay down.

Cela has had a crush on Foster for as long as she can remember, although she has never had a steady relationship or been with another man, she wouldn't mind giving it a go with him though. But when they both invite her over for Pizza and a film to celebrate her graduation, she blankly refuses and goes home.

Though Cela decides that she can't be a daddy's girl anymore, so putting on her best clothes and heels, she marches over to the boys and enjoys the party. Though things soon change when they invite her out to dance at a club, just dance. Foster has a thing for innocent women especially Vanilla ones, so when he starts to like Cela a bit more, it starts to become a problem.

Do they all carry on with the dancing? Or call it a night?

Not Until You: Dare - Part One by Roni Loren, is the first installment of the 9 book series and I honestly don't know what to think about it, I have a few mixed emotions that I will get all off my chest to you all.

If you have read my latest book review on the Knight series then you will know that I have been trying to find another series just like it or one similar that will hold my attention and drag me into the books. I was hoping that these books might be able to as there are quite a few in the series. But I'm not too sure.

One problem that I have is that it is written in first person, now I don't have anything wrong with books written in first person. I just personally don't think that erotic books should be written in the same text. I think they should be written in third, but then again that is just my personal opinion on them.

With that said, I went at the book with Caution not knowing what to expect. Though it did surprise me a little I guess. The plot was okay for the first book, Roni Loren has done the book series in small short stories per each book, a bit like a chapter a book in my eyes. In ways I can see that this is a good thing, more money for the books and they are not that expensive, but a bit of a waste for the reader. If she could of done three books with three of the nine books in each and priced them up more I would happily prefer to do that. (With that said, I have just seen the whole series available on Overdrive for free if anyone is interested)

But I persisted with this book as I thought "why not? It's a free sample download and either way I can always do a review on it". The plot is okay I guess so far, I don't really like the erotic stories that much when the girl is portrayed as really naive and that she's just come out of college, as not all girls are like that and to be honest a little shallow, but that's my opinion.

Foster and Pikes characters on the other hand, I like them, their funny with some witty humour about them as well, they have a bromance relationship so I would like to see how that unfolds in the story. I think I prefer Fosters character over Pike though.

All in all I'll cut it short cause I've been rambling! I think it's an okay read, I don't think it's as up to standards as what the Knight series was - but I'm still on a mission to find a series as good as that, you have to kiss a lot of frogs to get to your prince! ;) I will probably give the next book a go and see how I feel about it, but I won't be going through the whole series just for the sake of it. I would like to see how the story line pans out and if it gets a little better.

One thing I will say is that I really, love the book cover for it. It's so beautiful, I know it's simple but I just love it and throughout the whole series it kind of stays the same but they use different colours for each book and there so vibrant and colourful!

All in all, I will give this book 4 out of 10

Steamy romance, my guilty pleasure. I like descriptive love scenes, even a little BDSM, but an underlying arch of 'meant-to-be' relationships when it comes to my sexy books. I also prefer strong female characters who match wits with their male counterparts. And this series delivers. Roni Loren has several great romance series. Her characters are relatable and the stories make for indulgent reading. It's easy to get hooked on her books. This is the type of book I turn to when I need a little escape.

Best setting for Reading: great with a cup of hot chocolate, fuzzy socks, and a comfy blanket

Please note, first of all, that this is Part 1 of an 8 part e-serial. Now, I'm not exactly sure what an e-serial is, but I'm guessing that it's an e-novella that is going to be released in smaller parts. Genius idea, I guess but it also seems like a quick and dirty way to make extra cash.

This first installment is about 63 pages so it will barely whet your appetite if you're looking for a sexy AND short read. Well, it's certainly short and I suppose its sexy but there is no Sexy Time. But it is definitely a great start and I enjoyed reading it!

We meet Cela and she's JUST graduated from Veterinary School (awesome!). She's coming home and is trying to juggle too many things in her arms when she happens upon her delectably hot neighbors in the entryway of their apartment building, who offer to take her out on the town to celebrate. I liked Cela well enough but I wouldn't say I fell in love with her. You can tell right away that she's a good person and that she studied hard while getting her degree, since this first part is from Cela's point of view. We also see that she was raised in a pretty strict Catholic household and that she's pretty sheltered. She actually decided on this college because she would be able to move away from her stifling family. She loves them very much but she also realizes that she wasn't able to do much living with them around. Her upbringing is so ingrained into her thinking that she realizes that even though she moved away so that she could live a little hasn't worked out because she hasn't done anything. She lived as she would have lived at home: doing what was right and doing what her family would have wanted her to do. Its a little sad, actually. But once Cela sees a problem, she wants to fix it. So she decides to take her sexy neighbors up on their offer to show her a good time and to celebrate her graduation... and then, the REAL fun begins!

Ian Foster (Foster) and Pike are Cela's super sexy neighbors. We get a little insight into Foster since some of the story is told from his point of view. I really liked Foster and Pike. They are a lot like Yin and Yang but I suppose that's how the author wanted it. Pike is jokey and light and fun, in addition to being blonde and kind of a bad boy. Which makes sense because he's a drummer in a popular local rock band (cool!). Foster, on the other hand, is all dark and mysterious. Dark looks (glances) and dark looks (hair, eyes). And he's always wearing a suit so he's definitely not laid back. He is Mr. Buttoned-Up! What I really liked about Foster is that he's looking for more. He and Pike can get pretty much any girl they want (and regularly do) but Foster wants more than a one-night-stand and threesome with his best pal/roommate. The difficult part for Foster is that he's a dom. He has a membership in the area's exclusive BDSM club and loves it there. But he's looking for that special someone who he can be with and who he can be himself with. I can't explain it but I really like when the smokin' hot guy is looking for love and just can't find the girl he wants. I guess I like going on that quest with them, plus, it's nice to know that hot dudes don't always have it all together!

The three of them (Cela, Foster and Pike) together are pretty great. They all have a great dynamic. Cela is sweet and normal and a little shy. Foster is quiet and intense but very confident. Pike is gregarious and funny and likes to joke around and tease a lot. Things are a little awkward between them at first but they quickly smooth everything over and start getting along really well and Cela is able to really open up to them.

Again, there is no Sexy Time in this installment but when the three of them go to a club, it gets a little steamy. I think that once we actually get to some action between these people, that this will be a really hot book. I would recommend this but only if you can buy all of the sections together. This first part wasn't hot enough to keep my attention but if I could just continue on into the next one, I'd have been pretty happy. As it is, this first one is a great introduction to the characters. I hope I get to see what happens next!!

The books are part of an 8 volume serial. Basically one book split up into 8 parts. Normally I avoid serials entirely, but part 1 was free and I've heard some great things about Roni Loren's books. Wow, was I glad I picked up part 1! Not Until You will forever be one of my all-time favorite books and Roni Loren has landed on my top 5 list of one-click authors!

Cela Medina is as straight-arrow as they come. The straight-A student, perfectionist that always chose school and studying over friends and parties. But now she's graduated from college and is about to move back home and start her life under the watchful eye of her family. So when she sees her super hot neighbors, Foster and Pike on the night of her graduation she thinks why the hell not. Judging by the noises she's heard through the thin walls of her apartment and the women the two men share, it should be the kind of wild night she deserves.

But she soon learns that Foster is a member of the exclusive BDSM resort, The Ranch, and he's not looking for a fling or a one-night stand. He wants a woman that will stick around and surrender to him. To be his submissive.

Now here's why I loved Roni Loren's writing. Her style was so superbly written, that for someone like me who will never understand the lifestyle could get sucked into the story and feel as if I did. Roni pulled me in so deep that I was experiencing Cela's desire to be with Foster and his dark yet exciting ways. Now, this isn't the first time an author has done this for me. But we're talking about subjects that are way beyond my comprehension. What really made Roni's writing stand out was the way the characters expressed their feelings and actions. Every word and scene was in there for a reason, not like so many books I've read that made me wonder… why do I need to know this? Or worse, why is the author repeating it yet again? The writing was organic and flowed nicely.

And I especially loved how each character overcame something in the story. In my opinion, this is a must for a good book. They should learn something or get passed something from their past that will make them a better person. The kind of person the love of their life deserves. It just makes me as a reader feel like now, finally, they can have their happily ever after.

Cela's moment had me tearing up. But Foster's! Oh, my God, I cried like a baby. Interested? Read the books!

Ménage… BDSM… not my thing. But Roni Loren can write about anything and I'll read it!

So why not 5 out of 5? There were some minor editorial issues. Each of the volumes had something in it. Switching from first person to third within a sentence. (Celea's POV was written in first and Foster's was in third.) And some missing words here and there.

Review:

Phooey, it ended just at the right spot to drive me nuts...lol When is the second part coming out? June 18th, I guess that is not too bad. I have a love/hate relationship with e-serials, I love them until they end leaving me hanging until the next one.

This is part of the Loving on the Edge series, and I have high expectations that it will live up to the rest of the books in the series. I have been trying to be good and not look at the blurbs for the next installments. Love that instant gratification of reading a book all at one time, but I want to be surprised.

This first installment for me was a set-up book, learning about the characters and motivations. Cela is a recent graduate, who is not very worldly and decides she needs to go for it before she moves back to her hometown to live and work. Pike and Foster are her sexy next door neighbors, who she hopes will help her with her "bucket list" of things Cela wants to do before settling down. Now, let me tell you their scene on the dance floor is Hot! and if that is any indication this should be a sexy series of novellas. Again, I am trying not to read the blurbs of future installments, but I wonder if this will be a menage series? Or as I can see Foster and Cela are the true centers of this story.

Great first part and I cannot wait to read more as the story unfolds...just wish installments were closer together.

How did I find myself reading yet another serial, you may ask?  Well two major reasons, really.  It's Roni Loren, and if that's not enough this is part of her Loving on the Edge series.  OK, so I'm sold!

I have to admit that if Foster and Pike have been mentioned at The Ranch previously, I do not remember them.  They are two 30something, successful men living together in an apartment complex.  And yes, they often share women and dominate them.  They've had a crush on the cute and innocent neighbor, Cela, for a while but never acted on it.  Experience has showed them that good girls could never handle their lifestyle without regrets

But when Cela comes home after graduating (as a vet) and announces that she is going back home but wants one night to have fun, they can't deny her or themselves the opportunity to see how good it could be with her.

NOT UNTIL YOU DARE is the perfect serial opener.  You get a feel for the personality of every character but also a bit of the backstory, going in prepared for what's to come.  As I find it's usual with this series, the characters are intense and complex, with many layers to discover.  And the chemistry is off the charts as well!  And there hasn't even been any sex!

I have seen this classified as new adult, which to me doesn't really describe it.  Yes, the heroine is young and a virgin, but that's about where it stops.  This is just like the previous books in the series, even though this story is being published in parts and the heroine is a bit younger than the previous ones.

And yes, the heroine is naive and innocent.  I find that part of her charm for now.  I'm giving her time to grow out of that soon :)

If you don't want to get hooked, then you shouldn't read this ebook.  But why would you not want to?
