When eighteen year old Madeline accepted a position at Barnesfield Hall as companion to Lady Grey, she expected to encounter gracious surroundings and the quiet of the English countryside. An enjoyable well-written story, and a page turner.

An eighteen years old Madeline took a positon as a companion to Lady Grey's Barnesfield Hall. She was hoping her future will change while spending her whole life at Mrs. Norton's "School for Young Ladies". Arriving at the Hall she decided to trust that fate would bring her to a safe and suitable Harbor.

Clueless upon the Grey's family secrets, and the fake marriage of Lord Grey's parents. Madeline happened to meet Mr. Frederick Gold Lady Grey's younger brother whom she trusted on her life to relieved the Barnesfeild Hall dirty secrets, and exposed Lord Grey's cultist ways towards his tenants's young girl as a sacrificial virgin with an array of his friends.
