I used to read Christmas with Southern Living faithfully every year. Somehow, I fell out of that delightful tradition. I'm catching up with all of the editions available at my library.

One of my favorite Christmas recipes is for a pistachio brittle that I found in Christmas with Southern Living, 2000. My copy is a bit battle worn after 22 years of making it. Trying to locate that recipe is what had me seeking out this wonderful yearly offering.

The Christmas with Southern Living books are great fun to read, to make you dream of beautiful holidays and delicious offerings.

I suggest you seek them out and enjoy all the Christmas with Southern Living books.

This series never fails to delight and inspire. My favorite chapter was the one dealing with christmas decorations in the color scheme of cream/brown/green--guess why?

The pumpkin rum cake looks faboo and so does the lemon bundt cake, but the rest is just ok. I will definitely make the pumpkin rum cake. The decorations in this one were just ok.
