Called "wise and witty and honestly touching" by the "New York Times Book Review, " this novel finds Kit DeLeeuw, a suburban detective, investigating a nursing home that blurs the line between mercy killing and murder. The author has served as executive producer of "CBS Morning News" and is a media critic for "Rolling Stone."
Jon Katz is an author, photographer, and children's book writer. He lives on Bedlam Farm with his wife, the artist Maria Wulf, his four dogs, Rose, Izzy, Lenore and Frieda, two donkeys, Lulu and Fanny, and two barn cats. His next book, "Rose In A Storm" will be published by Random House on October 5. He is working on a collection of short stories and a book on animal grieving.
The final in THE SUBURBAN DETECTIVE MYSTERY series, as far as I can tell. I've reported on other here, like Katz very much, both mysteries solved and commentaries on US life in the 1990s. This one is a very uncomfortable examination of nursing homes, but it is eventually solved in the story, probably not in reality!
easy read...good for laying on the beach. I love jon katz's books on dogs..his more recent work. so, i am just committed to reading his earlier stuff but certainly would not send any major recommendations on this one.
