Reflections and lessons learned: “Squeak: ‘Garfield! Did I get some bad cheese or did Thanksgiving day start all over again? How did that happen?’ Garfield: ‘This is a dream sequence Squeak. You can tell by the weird panel borders!’”
Fun holiday capers with the old familiar cat and friends
An extremely comfy, lighthearted collection of Garfield Kaboom comics. I’m a big fan of these - they get the tone down perfectly and feel like a natural continuation of Garfield & Friends in comic form. Nothing particularly extraordinary happens and they never really expand the Garfield universe in any meaningful way, but they definitely understand what Garfield is about and deliver some fun and cosy stories that fans will love.
Adventures of Garfield and the gang (including Pet Force which rock) that looks ok outside of the original strip format. The artists resemble Jim Davis' style pretty well. It's always nice to read something from the fattest lasagna-eating cat in the world.
I don’t really like this book I don’t really like this book I don’t really like this book really like this book I don’t really like this book I don’t really like this Book it sucks
I thought this book was awful which is really sad because I enjoy Garfield. I thought the first story was ok but then the second one started out almost identically and was just pointless. Then the comic story about Pet Force was ridiculous. All the story was about was two cats talking about Pet Force. There are also quite a few stories where the story just ends without everything being wrapped up or actually seeming to be over. The stories didn’t get much better as they continued either. I also don’t really care for how Garfield talks to the reader. Garfield talked the reader sometimes in earlier comics and books and talked to the audience some in his shoes and movies, but it never took away from the story and was always in context. The way Garfield talks to the reader in this book definitely distracts from the story and is just poorly done. Also, there were quite a few errors that should have been caught in editing before this book was published. This book is just someone else trying to make money by creating a poor comic book and expecting it to sell solely for the popular Garfield name. I was greatly disappointed in this book.
I chose this rating because it was really good and I like the Garfield series.😘😘 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘 .I have Garfield books at my house and I love them.
