I happened to be visiting the Little Bighorn battlefield and thought it would be a good time to learn a little more about Gen. Custer. Unfortunately, I did a silly thing and accidently bought this book not realizing it was a field guide and not his life’s story. My bad, but I ended up still learning quite a bit about the man and gaining more appreciation for his career despite all the arrows thrown his way by the politically correct. Pun intended. If traveling out west, it would be a good guide to have.

Here is another great book by Jeff Barnes. Following Custer's footsteps gave him the expertise to put this book together brilliantly. I enjoy your works Jeff.
Thanks

I'm only giving this book a two because it didn't really capture my attention so I stopped reading it and can't finish it. It would probably take a year to finish it I guess I just don't like books that are nonfiction and informational. It's not that it's bad it has really good facts and information and any one who likes to read that type of stuff should definitely read this. I just can't because I'll lose my attention on it all of the time and other books will get in the way and it will just be a mess. That is the only reason I rated it a two star.
