Here is a book that helps young readers to learn how to read while also being informative about animal babies. As such there is a note in the front directed to adult readers that provides tips to help them ready their little ones for reading.
This book is written in very simple and easy to read text that is set in only a sentence or two, maybe three if you count a mere word. As such caregivers will find it easy to point out words to their little ones and help them to relate to these words as they read.
Otherwise the book starts off by pointing out what a baby is through a dog and from there provides the reader with a few species baby names. From there it explores what it means to be a baby such as whether the mom cares for the baby or the baby can take care of itself, whether it is born as a single individual or as part of multiples, etc. And finally the book explores the concept of hatching from an egg like a bird or snake.
Children will most definitely enjoy this book and it can be used as a great starter, especially if you are expecting another little one in your home whether human or animal.

Lovely book, very simple and sweet. HOWEVER, you don't need to show me real human babies wearing only diapers. You could've just put shirts on them. I believe you that it's a baby. It's free material for people with ill intent and I didn't care for it. Written in a different time, I suppose. OTHERWISE, good book and I loved the other photos. Very cute.
