I have an original hardcover edition (1941) given to me by my grandmother. I spent my teenage years in the California gold country (Colfax), so I am enjoying the history as well as the "modern" descriptions of the towns and sites. I recently visited the Yukon gold country (Whitehorse to Dawson) and am interested in reading next a book about the Yukon gold rush.

It's frustrating to read a history book with no maps and no bibliography but the stories are entertaining. I suppose there's good information in it... but I have no sources to check against!
