Rate this book
A unique handbook of insight and inspiration for daily life, Where There Is Light, offers spiritual insights drawn from the writings and lectures of renowned mystic Paramahansa Yogananda author of the spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi. A world teacher who brought the ancient science of yoga meditation to the West in 1920, he dedicated his life to uniting East and West in the lasting ties of spiritual understanding, and to helping others towards realization of the infinite sources of peace, love, and joy that exist within every human being. This warmly engaging anthology contains but a small sample of his teachings. The diverse flavor of its contents reflects the wide spectrum of sources from which they are drawn: Some passages are taken from public lectures or classes; others come from informal talks to small groups of disciples and friends; additional selections are from his writings. Topics include:
* Finding wisdom and strength to make life s decisions
* The antidote for stress, worry, and fear
* transforming our failures into successes
* Security in an uncertain world
* Perfecting human relationships
* The power of affirmation and prayer
* Understanding death
* Developing a personal relationship with God.

Also a book that would be part of the most important canon of spiritual guidance... This book gives guidance and healing, affirmations and practices that address nearly all of the daily afflictions I can encounter...

Very lightweight uplifting book. I used to read this book couple of pages a day in the morning - and it used to make a lot of difference. Highly recommended for reading in today's high stress, extreme competition world!

I read this book just a few months ago but I already want to read it again. It’s one of those books that makes you think about how you live and how to (hopefully) understand others and become a better person.

This is the kind of book you can read from cover to cover in just a day or two. I also go back to it again and again... more during times when I need it.

"I am the Infinite; I am His Child. The wave is a bulge of the Ocean; my consciousness is a bulge of great Cosmic Consciousness. I am afraid of nothing. I am Spirit..."
I just describe in words how much I loved the book!
It's basically a collection of thoughts and quotes and I would suggest every reader to read it slowly to understand and reflect in proper way. I specifically loved the chapter that talks about death, it's so inspiring and everyone can get positive vibes and positive energy through it.
I specifically loved how the author narrated all the complex topics in simple language.
The cover is so beautiful and the title is just perfect.
Overall, an amazing read!

I found this one super uplifting and it filled me with hope. Maybe not every passage was my cup of tea but the general feeling it gave me deserves the absolutely biased 5 stars. It was probably halfway between 4 and 5 anyway.

This little book got me through some rough times. I would read a chapter before writing morning pages and meditating, which worked well.
