This was a very enjoyable quick read; very well paced with good character development. There’s some suspense at the beginning over exactly what happened between Aiden and Sam in the past and how that affects their feelings now. The middle was incredibly compelling, and the ending was great – though I was hoping for just a little more from it.
Sam and Aiden are the kind of characters you can’t help but love. You respect their actions and intentions, but they fear and make mistakes, which makes them human and therefore relatable. Aiden is so understanding and caring while Sam has a lot of turmoil from her past to deal with. The chemistry between them is hot and their love scenes are too while also being very tender. I really appreciated the emotional investment in this story. I definitely cried at one point in particular and absolutely felt for both characters as they faced each other.
The story is heartwarming, but with some heartbreaking moments, and is absolutely worth a read to any hopeless romantic.

Cara Marsi wrote a touching story about a woman and her fears and the man who makes her face them and the love that they can have together.
Figuring her mother is gone on an extended vacation, Sam goes to her house for a few days to think through a decision before heading to a conference. She is surprised by Aiden when he shows up to take care of the cat for her mom. He then breaks the news about the snow storm shutting down all the roads to and from Fenwick Island. Here she is stuck with the one man who fires up her libido and he knows it! Now, they need to face their feelings and her fears and try to overcome Sam walking out on Aiden all those years ago.
I really enjoyed reading this book. Ms. Marsi wrote a beautiful love story with some twists and turns. She had you wondering throughout the book who Sam’s father was and why her mother was a promiscuous as she was. All the questions get answered and there is a wonderful HEA. Some of the dialog felt a little forced but the love scenes were very well written and watching Aiden work through his hurt and Sam through her fears was wonderful.

Carsi has given us a touching story about a woman and her fears; fear of commitment and of love. Growing up the daughter of the town slut must have made for a difficult life for Sam. Escaping as soon as she could, she runs away from the only man who ever really made her truly feel special. Despite the length of the story, Carsi managed to convey the character’s anguish and confusion in a way that felt natural, not forced.
With a special way with words, Carsi treats us to an amazing tale of rediscovering love on the quest for self redemption. Without the pretense of unnecessary drama, Storm of Desire is a beautifully written novella about discovering love for the second time and finding strength in oneself to overcome your fears.

This is a fast erotic read that you can complete in just a couple of hours. It will capture your attention
from beginning to end. Cara uses the backdrop of a nor’easter to bring her characters together. It adds
energy to her story and makes the story move at a fast pace. The sex scenes are done tastefully but are
not raunchy. If you only have a short amount of time and want an erotic story to read, this book would
be a perfect choice. This is a book I would go back and read again and there aren’t that many that I can
say that about. It was the first book by Cara Marsi that I ever read, and I can’t wait to read another.

Have you ever felt there’s one person out there for you that’s completely out of your league? In this novella the author captures the ins and outs of Aiden and Sam who see that in each other. This book is well written and quickly gets to the heart of their relationship. The attraction of the characters is described by their looks and the feelings expressed, their love scene is well written. This is an enjoyable book: it is great to see two people can overcome major differences to work toward a solid relationship.

Sometimes love is not as we remembered, but in Storm of Desire, the memories did not fade. A perfect storm, an unexpected reunion and the sparks of desire rekindle. Samantha used Aiden and then ran, denying the deep emotions he evoked, unwilling to name them more than just a passing fancy.
Years later, they meet again but will it be just another amazing encounter? Another great read by Ms. Carsi!

An emotional roller coaster
This book was such an emotional roller coaster. The back and forth of the heroine was frustrating me in the beginning then I read a little farther and it not only made sense but I felt sorry for her. I mean, what a backstory!
