My review is a bit spoilery, but it's nothing you couldn't predict if you tend to read romance novels.

I didn't like the hero in this much at all. Leo was a very selfish person. I get that he was raised with a poor moral compass in may ways, but his attitude towards women and sex was objectionable to me. I can't stand heroes who use women for sex and don't even care about them emotionally. He actually bragged to the heroine Anna about having a fivesome with some models! Ugh. This is one instance where I wish the heroine was repulsed by the hero. He started out just mainly wanting to have sex with Anna because she was prissy and he wanted to take her down a peg. When he found out she was a virgin, he got an attack of conscience. They are stranded on an island (the hero's fault) and Anna decides she's tired of being a good girl. One thing leads to another. Anna hands out some of Leo's own medicine back, saying they are over once they get off the island. Of course, she finds out she's pregnant, and when she looks him up, he treats her very poorly indeed.

Leo's not all bad, but he's got a lot of traits that are deal-breakers for me in a hero. He makes it seem like it's a big deal that he's celibate for a few months. Yes, that's pretty unusual for him, since apparently woman regularly drop trousers for him. But the man acts like he's God's gift to the world, and makes it seem like marrying Anna is a huge sacrifice. I for one believe that a woman should feel like she's the only woman in the world to a man she's going to marry. I especially expect that in a romance novel hero. Anne is very insecure, and while that's not Leo's fault, he definitely doesn't help build her confidence any, even knowing she was essentially jilted by the man she was supposed to marry, who married his sister instead. When Anna lets him off the hook, then he decides that maybe he's in love with her after all. No thanks. I wouldn't marry this guy either. Of course, you know they end up together, since this is a romance novel. I hope Leo grows up and becomes a man, in ways other than being able to have sex with many woman.

I like Lynn Raye Harris as an author. I think she's a good writer. I just have high standards that this hero did not meet.

Hard to warm up to either character. Hero is a cocky (TM) playboy and the brother to the woman the heroine's former fiance is marrying. Heroine had been betrothed to the prince of somewhere since childhood and the story opens with the heroine putting on a brave face at his engagement party.

Hero immediately begins to flirt with/harass her. Then he arranges for her to show him around an island where he might build a hotel. Heroine is part of the government's tourism agency and must be diplomatic. Hero, like the ass he is, keeps baiting her at the party and the next day.

He also insists on flying his own plane to fly over the island. There is a problem with the fuel line and they go down on deserted island in the Mediterranean? Not sure what body of water. Hero has water and all kinds of supplies for roughing it.(Why? It's a single engine plane in Europe?)

There's nothing to do. Hero didn't file a flight plan, so rescue won't be for a day or two. The heroine decides she wants to stop being prim and proper and asks the playboy to take her virginity.

Hero protests for all of sixty seconds and they spend the next few days having unprotected sex. (Heroine is on birth control, but didn't bring it with her).

When they are rescued, heroine breaks it off with hero. She doesn't want anymore scandal. Hero is offended.

Heroine finds she is pregnant six weeks later. Hero is an ass about that too, but they work it out with a personality transplant on the hero's side, lots of tabloid speculation and some pouting by the heroine.

I just couldn't warm up the four-super-models-at-once-hero, who thinks he deserves a medal for not having sex for the six weeks he was separated from the heroine. He was amazingly insensitive about the heroine's public humiliation by his future brother-in-law. Not a prize catch.

4.5 stars I loved this book! Both the hero and the heroine were passionate, feisty and as a result the chemistry between them was electrifying! Lots of drama and passion in this amazing romance!

If i knew how to add pictures I have the perfect one for here. But google Dirty Den EastEnders and you will see the man who made famous the line Ello Darling (in a cockney accent)
description

If you have completed this task you will see why I cannot take the H too seriously. His massive over use of the word darling made me think I'd fallen back into the drama that was Raging Passion

This is a really enjoyable story but not always an easy read, which makes it an intriguing book.

The hero and heroine are, at times, quite annoying - the hero for his arrogance and the heroine for her neediness. However, to me, this makes the book feel more real. Nobody is perfect and these characters certainly aren't.

The premise is interesting and really well thought out, I enjoyed reading how the uptight heroine finally decided to rebel just once then had to face the consequence of her actions - honest writing.

Both the hero and heroine have to learn to live with each other and to accept themselves and I think there is a lot of character growth explored in this book, especially from the heroine.

This is a passionate story with two flawed characters and an against-all-odds love story that is very satisfying to read. I loved it!

Another entry to the  Santina Crown
Anne is the jilted bride, left by fiancé, crown prince Alessandro - who hadn't even the decency to break their long term engagement face to face. humiliated by the press, she accepts everything with decorum & dignity.  Anna has all my sympathy. She had been groomed from childhood to be the future queen , and now she doesn't know what to do with her life. To a playboy like Leo, she is too uptight, too buttoned up and in need to loosen up & let her hair down a little.  For him she is a challenge & he loves ruffling her cool.
Our playboy  trapped in pregnancy & marriage,  finds out its eventually what he wants with the right woman.

Let me sum it up: Suppressed heroine. Jilted. Rebound 'physical' relationship. Hero just attracted to her false facade. Not gonna last. The end.

The Girl Nobody Wanted is a passionate read with some action adventure thrown in for good measure.

When Anna Constantinides finds herself unexpectedly jilted by Prince Alessandro her life is thrown into an upheaval. Having spent her life training to be Queen Anna is completely lost as she never had a chance to dream, her life was predetermined for her.

Enter Leo Jackson consummate playboy and brother of the Woman she was jilted for. When Leo meets Anna at the engagement party he is instantly drawn to her like a moth to a flame even though he thinks she is too uptight. Anna is a challenge and Leo totally enjoys ruffling her feathers. When Leo and Anna’s plane crashes and they are forced to spend two days on a secluded island before they are rescued, their attractions to each other gets the better of them.

Anna and Leo make an interesting pair; Leo is a total rogue with a devil may care attitude and Anna worries over anything and everything she can.

When Anna is faced with an unexpected pregnancy, following the heels of her engagement scandal she approaches Leo with a marriage proposition… Leo being Leo upstages Anna’s Plan there as well.

I really enjoyed reading this book, the characters were well drawn out and the dialogues beautifully written. As with any Lynn’s book you get a bit of action and drama thrown in with the plane crash.

I can’t resist mentioning that I absolutely loved the emotional and heartfelt letter Leo wrote to their daughter Lucy on her birth which is included in the last book.

The Girl Nobody Wanted is a great addition to the Santina Crown Series and I would definitely recommend this book.

Mrs Harris has always been able to capture the imagination of readers with stories of heartfelt romance and passion.

In her latest release The Girl Nobody wanted she has once again proved to me as reader that she very richly deserves the praise she receives for her remarkable stories.

I felt true sorrow for the character Anna, embarrassed when her long time fiancée announces his marriage to someone new and not just a few days before the wedding no ladies ..on the eve of their wedding !

The character of the ex -fiancée does not have a remarkable place in the story but it did bring about the escape Anna needs after being labelled as a jilted bride.Taking off on a private plane with utterly gorgeous hotel magnate Leo Jackson seems to be the answer to Anna's current problem.

At this point in the story it is where Mrs Harris starts waving her magic wand and the story turns into one of temptation, passion and two people letting go of their own inner turmoil, and finding an escape in each others arms.

Mrs Harris takes us on a journey of self discovery, love and showed me as reader that everyone is wanted, you just need to find the right person even if being stranded with a temping and feisty man is the answer.

Mrs Harris's characterization was perfect, the dialogue one of true emotion. And the backdrop was just stunning!

Mrs Harris has again proven she knows what readers want ,and knows how to deliver !

Well done Mrs Harris

Disappointing. I liked Leo but got so annoyed with Anna - what an unpleasant shrew she turned out to be. I thought his attempt to make her laugh with the ‘not 5, but 4 models’ scenario, was brilliant; I am surprised that some folk object to his previous sexual activities and attitudes. This is the standard trope isn’t it? Playboy redeemed by true love and who is then faithful to that true love for the rest of their lives? This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I may try her once more as there was much in this story to like. I just would have liked the heroine to be a bit brighter and less smug.

Lynn Raye Harris has written a true gem in “The Girl Nobody Wanted” (TGNW) – an outwardly composed heroine with deep emotional wounds who faces off against a seemingly care-free playboy with his own family issues to deal with.

Anna’s strength amazed me; to remain composed while the paparazzi and her fellow royalty pay keen attention to her every move while attending her former fiance’s engagement party? That takes skill.

The one person able to see through her facade is Leo, the brother of her fiance’s soon-to-be wife, Allegra.

A businessman and owner of the Leonidas Group, which builds luxury hotels in exclusive locations.

This is Leo, as pictured on the I Heart Harlequin Presents website page dedicated to The Santina Crown series.

One can see what draws Anna to Leo even as she fights to deflect him from seeking the truth about what makes her tick. Where others see a serene princess-in-waiting, Leo sees a woman so busy suppressing her passionate nature, she doesn’t even realise it exits.

Anna is challenged emotionally by Leo on their two-person flight to Amanti; naturally Leo is a trained pilot and prefers to fly himself whenever he can, but when their plan crashes after they divert from the flight plan, the sniping turns to kissing.

Boy oh boy, do Anna and Leo have chemistry together! They’re a great match in wits and in bed, or in this case, on the beach.

This story gets even better, yes it does, when they return to reality and have to face life after the island.

Leo’s relationship with his father shows a depth to our hero that makes you fall in love with him even more than you already did for shaking Anna out of her shell.

Anna herself inspires you because she’s willing to be bold, put herself out there, in the hopes of finding her own happiness and identity away from Amanti and Santina.

I’d love to be there when the Jackson family and the Santina royal family have a get together to see how Anna and Allegra interact. I’d expect some fireworks but a fun, loving relationship in the end.

Although this is book 7 in The Santina Crown series, you don’t have to read the books in order. So head over to your nearest bookstore now and pick up a copy, paperback or eBook, of The Girl Nobody Wanted.

This book was great. It has lots of drama and passion.

Anna Constantinides is the jilted bride, left almost at the altar by her longtime (I'd say more like lifetime) fiancee Prince Alessandro. She has been publicly humiliated by the press with everything that happened. But she has to act with decorum and protocol, and show up at his engagement party to Allegra, the woman that he left her for without the decency of letting her know that he was breaking the engagement. Leo Jackson is a playboy and Allegra's brother. During the engagement party he sees Anna and he is intrigued by her. He thinks that she needs to relax and let her hair down, literally, and that he would be the best person to do it. While Anna worries about everything that the press, gossip magazines and tabloids will say, Leo has no care what-so-ever for them. He has lived with every scandal that his father involves himself in since he went to live with him at the age of ten, and thinks that the best way to get rid of them is to ignore them.

Although I loved the story line, I do have to agree that Anna seems a little spoiled. But I thinks it had more to do with the fact that she didn't know how to act and be normal. She was raised to be a queen and now that she will no longer be one, she doesn't know what she is supposed to do with her life. She doesn't know how to be or act like anything else, which makes everything more dramatic for her. Then her one act of rebellion with Leo lead to consequences she doesn't expect. Her first thought is about preventing scandal and any embarrassment to her family and the Santina's. You have to read this story if you want to know how Anna conquers this playboy's heart and how he helps her become her own person.

Seri Santina Crown
Anna Constantinides - Leo Jackson

Anna, 28 tahun, ditinggalkan tunangannya, Pangeran Alesandro Santina, dua hari sebelum pernikahan.

Bobby Jackson menasehati putranya, Leo.

Hal 222
Percayalah padaku.

Nggak terlalu mengecewakan lah.... ;)
Dan yang penting tak dihempas ekspektasi. HAHAHA.

Perasaan kurang greget ya? Anna-nya sedikit bikin sebeeelll...ntah belah mana yang bikin saya sewot. Mungkin karena kekakuan sikap n terlalu merhatiin apa kata media.

Pengin baca yang ceritanya Alesandro sama Allegra. Selingkuh gak sih, berhubung pas itu Alex+Anna udah tunangan?

The Girl Nobody Wanted, by Lynn Raye Harris, is a Harlequin Presents romance. It was a quick and fun read, but I wasn't too surprised at what happened. Since the book wasn't that long, I won't be giving details of the events. Instead, I'll write about the characters. Besides, so much of Harlequins are about the characters themselves and not necessarily the events they have to battle through.

Anna Constantinides is an upper class woman who was intended to become queen. She had been trained in the political arts; not showing too much emotion, being strong in a difficult situation, and being what everyone expects. She never really let her hair down.

There are parts to Anna that every woman,or really, person, could understand and relate. I remember being stressed out trying to make everyone happy. No, it wasn't expected as it is for Anna, but I do understand the stress and emotional baggage that comes with it. That experience helped me understand her as a character.

I could relate to her at times, but there were moments where I couldn't understand where she was coming from. Then again, we all have the main issue this book deals with: communication. I have issues with it in my own marriage as well as other familial bonds. The people on the other side of that, do as well. We all have that issue.

Leo Jackson, is the son to a famous athlete and the brother to the woman who is now on the way to being married to Anna's ex-fiance'. He's a playboy, but has his own standards. Though it isn't beneath him to have a one night stand or just a few extra women a night, he does have a moral compass with whom he shares his time. He's monogamous, caring, but ultimately doesn't want a relationship. Want may not be the proper term, it should be: he fears a relationship.

I honestly didn't find Leo that enticing. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a good match for Anna. I just didn't find him as my hero. He didn't get me pumping, but I did like him as a character. He had a sense of carefree, but used that as a way to hide behind. When the moment came, he became serious and showed something more to his character. I like that. I like him.

In all, their romance was a whirlwind. It was quick and didn't show what I would say is a huge romance. They have chemistry. What I felt is that Anna and Leo had great potential. I didn't feel like this was going to be a complete happy ending, but I love the happiness the ending had. Does that make sense?

Ultimately, I put too much thought into the ending. They are happy in the end and I should leave it at that. I do think they will do great if they were in later books.

It has been a while since I read a book that kept me up all throughout the hours of the night the way this one did. I just keep telling myself one more page, and I could not put it down.

Anna Constantinides is a sweet woman who thought she did everything perfectly to fulfill her destiny of becoming queen. Yet her fiancé still choose another woman to claim as his bride. With such a high profile relationship of course the breakup was just as high profile. So not only did she have to deal with a broken heart, but the scandal and constant media attention. My heart truly went out to her and it reminded me of what celebrities really go through. I could not imagine my personal life being anything but personal and private. It made me hope that she could get a brief moment of reprieve even if she found it on a island stranded with a hot stranger.

Leo has also lived his life in the media's eye but he compensates with it differently. While Anna just hopes it will all disappear Leo seems to just ignore it and sometimes even play it up for amusement. This attitude is what made me realize immediately he was just what Anna needed to learn to let her hair down and just enjoy life. Whether it be for a few hours or the rest of her life.

The relationship development within this story is that slow burn you expect from traditional romance novels. At times I really appreciated the build-up of emotions, other times I just wished they would stop dancing around one another and put everything out on the table. This roller coaster of emotions really helped to keep me enthralled in the storyline. I'm not usually a fan of traditional romance but this story made me re-think my view on my mother's old romance novels she cherishes. This is a story I can see any woman enjoying regardless of age, and that is why I would have no problem recommending it.

Sebulan kemudian Anna menyadari dirinya hamil.

Atau mungkin Jackson and Santina aja kali ya...

Heroes from romance novels are usually overdone and their descriptions never really do much for me. I usually end up picturing whomever I want instead. For some reason, the description of Leo Jackson, especially when it comes to his dragon tattoo was enough to have me drooling. Very unusual experience for me.

The Heroine...while her personality and behavior is understandable, it is nevertheless very frustrating. I can only imagine how poor Leo has to deal with it. Anna is rather stuck up and standoffish, but feels deeply underneath it all...she's just taught to hide it. And her reactions piss Leo off.

Leo is a male slut. He's been with every woman under the sun and then some. But I did enjoy some of the potshots the heroine got in and more or less respected Leo for taking them without comment. (For example, after a dinner party where a woman was rude to Anna because she'd been Leo's lover, he apologizes and says it will never happen again. She exclaims, "Why? It's hardly your fault that you've slept with half of London? Or rather yet, half of the planet!")

SPOILERS HERE!
And in the end I enjoyed the story. I have always hated these kinds of stories where the heroine gets pregnant and the couple must marry. The reason I hate them is because the Heroine always realizes that she wants to marry for love of for some other reason for duty but for whatever weakness (usually because they can't bear the thought of a life without the hero so they settle for unrequited love in marriage) and they go through with it. THANK GOODNESS that doesn't happen here. Despite loving the hero, she realizes she'd be ruining his life and hers and that she'd be settling and she takes off...he of course chases after her and HEA.

I’m a girl who likes a good romance and this was the perfect book for it! This was actually my first Harlequin novel I’ve read and it was a very good and easy read. Lynn Raye Harris keeps you wanting more with each word!

The story has Anna Constantinides who is a princess dumped by her fiancé for another woman. Her job as tourist ambassador led her to embark on a simple plane trip with Leo Jackson, a wealthy investor. Their plane crashes and, well, if you were stuck on a deserted island with a handsome looking man after having been dumped, there are plenty of things for the two to do!

The book is a quick read and it keeps you involved and leaning toward the unexpected. I wasn’t quite sure how it would end which is one thing I enjoy about a book. If I can figure out the ending, there’s no reason to read the book! It took me less than two days to read the book, that’s how much I liked it! And as a warning, the intimacy level is quite high in this book!

This book receives 5 out of 5 stars!
