Lavinia discovered reading at an early age and could always be found with her nose in a book. She loved getting lost in a fantasy world even then. When her parents bought her a typewriter for Christmas at aged eleven, her fate was sealed. She spent hours dreaming up characters and creating stories. Not a lot has changed.

Lavinia is a Welsh Valley girl who has lived all over the UK. Today she lives at home in the small village in which she grew up, just outside of Cardiff, Wales, but ask her again tomorrow and it could very well be somewhere different. She has travelled extensively to places as far and wide as Africa, Asia, Australia, North and Central America and most of Europe. Although some of her books are set in Texas she has never stepped foot in the state but plans to spend time there in the near future. She is a proud Brit, but feels quite at home when visiting the grand ol’ USofA.

Although Lavinia is a huge fan of the romance genre, particularly M/M she will admit to reading anything and everything. She loves horror, a good thriller and if a book has the capacity to make her cry, well, all the better. She loves a gritty, angst-ridden, gut-wrenching story, but is more than happy to settle in with a lighter, fluffier tale. She loves a happy ending and the characters in her books have thus far been lucky enough to find one. She can’t guarantee that will always be the case. She has two cats and wouldn’t part with them for the world, even though they make her sneeze.

Lavinia also writes M/F romance under the pseudonym Amy Armstrong.

Was good, would have liked more on Pete's background, there is some.
A lot happens in this one. Would have liked a little more to deal with the fallout from the fires and the person responsible for them (not saying who, have to read it) I'm sure since the bad person is missing we will see that person again. Hope the next in the series.
Good addition to a really Great series.

I liked them a lot! Even more than Kelan and Jake, surprisingly. Maybe because they were in their town with all the other characters. Tony seemed much sweeter and smarter than Jake. And this was funny at times because of Tony's reactions as he got to know each detail about wolves as he didn't know anything about it before.

“Oh, uh, lube’s in the drawer, but I haven’t got any condoms. We don’t need them, anyway. I told you wolves can’t catch any diseases—neither can we transmit any.”
Tony was about to argue when he remembered not twenty minutes before he’d ingested the man’s blood. Maybe now was a little late to worry about such things

“Kelan is the alpha here in Wolf Creek. It’s his job to deal with any shifter problems in town. And I’m his beta. It’s my job to help him when he needs it.”
Tony’s frown deepened. “I didn’t understand a word you just said.”

“Should I get a ball or a stick or something?”
Pete frowned. “Huh?”
“You know, something for you to fetch.”
“Uh no, Tony, you might do that for a dog, but I’m a wolf.

I'm sad the series is almost finished. One thing I also loved in all books is that there are always so many new characters and you never know if they are going to be a new love interest or the next person who's killed lol.

Summary: When wolf Pete Johnson hears there has been an explosion at the dancehall he manages, he rushes to the scene with his alpha Kelan. Kelan’s mate Jake had been on his way to Jessie’s dancehall with Tony, a friend visiting from New York who Pete has yet to meet. When they arrive at the scene, amid the chaos, Pete discovers that Tony is his mate. But Tony is human and doesn’t know about the existence of wolves.

As more fires ravage the small town of Wolf Creek, including Kelan’s home – The Crazy Horse ranch - Pete must help find the person responsible while trying to persuade Tony that destiny brought them together and they are made for one another. Can Pete convince his mate and capture the culprit before Tony becomes yet another casualty of the insane wolf, bent on revenge, who has the werewolf population of Wolf Creek running scared?

Review: Tony is a nice guy who used to be in love with his best friend Jake. He has been making frequents from New York to visit with Jake since Jake has settled down with Kelan. He is completely unaware of the existence of the wolf shifters until meeting Pete, Kelan's Beta. Amidst the raging fire of the dancehall, Pete meets Jake's friend Tony and realizes immediately that he has finally found his mate. When Tony sees Kelan feeding an injured Jake his blood and then witnesses Pete's eyes and canines shift as his wolf comes to the surface, he begins to question his sanity. Pete explains that he is a wolf shifter and Tony is his mate and while he is a bit freaked out, he can't deny how he is drawn to Pete or explain the undeniable attraction he feels for the big cowboy. Considering that Kelan's home has burnt to the ground and there isn't a lot of room for all the people who now have to reside in the bunkhouse at The Crazy Horse ranch, Tony agrees to go home with Pete.

Despite his attraction to Pete, Tony doesn't agree to mating right away. Pete is disappointed but understands that he needs to persuade his mate that they were meant for each other. As they are getting to know each other, more fires happen, killing several people and severely inuring some of the core people of the pack. Kelan and the pack come together to determine that Evelyn is bent on revenge after the killing of her mate in a previous book. Nothing is more important to Pete than keeping his mate close so that he can protect him.

A few days go by and Tony is no longer afraid of committing himself to Pete and welcomes their mating fully. It isn't long after consummating their mating that Pete is called away to assist Kelan in finding Evelyn, not knowing that Evelyn was now targeting mates. Tony and Jake barely escape with their lives as Evelyn burns Pete's house down while they are inside. Pete and Tony declare their love for each other and Tony surprises Pete when he says that he is going to move from New York to start his life with Pete.

I did enjoy this installment in the Shifter's Haven series but I would have enjoyed it a little more if I could have seen the men actually getting to know each other not just feeling the mating pull. Both Tony and Pete are easy to like and I enjoyed watching them come together, I just wish that their had been a little more interaction that showed more of their individual personalities. The book starts off with a bang and the action never stops and since Evelyn is still at large I expect more excitement in the next installment. I particularly liked being able to see so much of the other couples from previous books. I recommend this book to any shifter lover.

Pete's Persuasion is the seventh book in Lavinia Lewis' Shifter's Haven werewolf series. The book tells the story of Pete, a werewolf shifter and Tony, the human friend of Kelan's human mate, Jake. The two young men meet in the midst of a crisis in the town of Wolf Creek when an arsonist bent on revenge tries to destroy Kelan's pack.

Lewis jumps into the action in Pete's Persuasion almost from the first page with an explosion at the dance hall that Pete manages. You can read Pete's Persuasion as a standalone novel, but to know all of the characters involved it helps to read other books in the series, although you don't necessarily need to read them in sequence. I found Pete's Persuasion an entertaining paranormal tale about life in a werewolf pack undergoing internal challenges and opposition from external forces.

Pete and Tony have good chemistry together; the scenes between them are entertaining. Lewis does not resolve the overarching mystery surrounding the Wolf Creek pack, so it's clear there's going to be a sequel to this novel. Instead, the primary focus of Pete's Persuasion is building the romance between Tony and Pete, as well as Tony's reaction to discovering a world peopled with werewolves and other shifters.

The tale had enough twists and turns in the plot to keep me engaged in Pete and Tony's story. The characters are definitely likable and I can't wait to find out how Lewis resolves the issue of the arsonist.

Tony is human and his equally human friend Jake has already been claimed by a werewolf, in his case the alpha Kelan. When Tony comes to visit his friend Jake all hell breaks loose with explosions and fires, death and injury, all at the hands of the wolf Evelyn, who has intense anger management issues over the killing of her mate. And then to top it off, Tony finds out werewolves are real. And sexy. And one of them is his very own.
I love this series and this book was another character driven installment. There are a few loose threads left hanging, chief among them the fate of Evelyn. I’m sitting on pins and needles waiting for the next story. This is a well written, smoothly plotted episodic serial. Good stories, each well worth the investment of time and a little bit of money.

Well. It is of course very fast. The worst I could observe might be how on both sides the “love” is based on obtaining what they envy in other happy couples. Essentially, it’s based on the need for something perfect, not actual feeling for who the other person is – since they don’t actually know each other yet. As such, it does not feel a whole lot like a romance to me. Not much falling in love going on. More like falling into perfect opportunity.

I find it strange how much of an animal – and indeed a separate entity – Pete’s wolf is. It hardly feels as though there’s any human reasoning inside. I don’t remember… Has this series always played it that way?

Regardless, this was a bit of fluff. I’d have preferred more actual emotion, but it did its thing.

I really enjoyed reading this action-packed MM shifter romance. The likable characters are rather complex individuals & portray realistic emotional flaws although they do continue to develop throughout the story-line. There are character crossovers but this book can be read as a standalone. The plot is quite suspenseful, well-written & intriguing with some unexpected situations or occurrences. The secondary characters offer good support.
There is: after a explosion occurs at a bar/dancehall a beta wolf shifter & manager (Pete Johnson) rushes there with his alpha (Kelan) & runs into a human male (Tony) & friend of Kelan’s mate (Jake) but there is more problems Tony happens to be absolutely clueless about the existence of wolf shifters now they have to find the arsonist while Pete is trying to convince Tony that they are mates & belong together, various shifters, a supernatural council, humans, council politics, action, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, secrets, mystery, threats, danger, enemies/villains, explosions, arson, fires, death, destruction, vengeful feelings, devious intentions, violence, life-threatening incidents, physical confrontations, injuries, trust, friendship, verbal banter, discovery, attractions, mates, verbal conflict, emotional turmoil, confusion, complications, misunderstandings, verbal confrontations, decisions, embarrassment, reluctance, doubts, advice, shifting, playfulness, claimed, some steam, love, happiness, contentment & a satisfying conclusion. I look forward to the next book with great anticipation.

I sort of wish that Pete had to do more to persuade Tony to mate with him - just because of the title of the book. Otherwise, I liked that Tony got his own mate. I wanted Tony to get an HEA when we first met him in Jake & Kelan's book.

Pete was in interesting choice of mate for Tony because he seemed to be pretty focused only on making Jessie's work, rather than on being a part of the bigger community - at least until Dean showed up. Tony seems to be to be a character who thought that he was doing well being a bit anonymous in New York, but who really needs to thrive in a strong community. Both characters eventually accepted each other, and their place in Wolf Creek.

I'm excited to see how this new enemy will change things for the shifters in Wolf Creek, and what new matings will come from the struggles.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Vicious and awful things have been happening related to paranormals and the council. Mates killed, other people and properties damaged

A rash of fires and more Troy just when they had hopes for a slow down of trouble.

Then TIMING meeting his HUMAN mate.

Pete has been on the she of a lot of action lately, and what was hoped to be slowing or ending in terms of trouble may just be changing gears.

Courting a non supe mate amid the literal flames is hardly ideal.

Yet when have things for Pete even been truly peaceful and without drama?

Intense KU romance

When you see how short life can be, grab for it to the fullest

Tony is out visiting his old friend, Jake. He is injured when a crazy person blows up a bar they are about to enter. The only good part is that one of the wolves responding is his mate. The mad person is out for revenge by killing supes and committing arson. Tony is thrown into a whirlwind of emotion, learning that supernaturals actually exist, mating bonds, and oh yeah, Terror. A fun fast read.

This is the first book in the series with an ending where the plot is significantly unresolved.

Pete and tony are undeniable right from the start. Tony is a human that isn’t aware of shifters but there is no denying the pull he feels when he sets his eyes on Pete for the first time. Pete’s knows he his mate from the first second but has to tread lightly because Tony is scared and ready to run. And if that’s doesn’t make things hard enough. There is someone hell bent on revenge on all the shifters we know and love. This book was explosive right from the start and I don’t think we have seen the last of it. Epic read

Pete is a wolf shifter who live in Wolf Creek. He works as manager at Jessie's Dance Hall and is beta under Kelan the leader of the pack. Tony is human and a friend of Jake's from New York who is visiting Jake in Wolf Creek. When they're about to go in the dance hall there's an explosion. When Pete gets there he realizes Tony is his mate. Will these two be able to be together or is there too much working against them? I really enjoyed this book.

I enjoyed this book and was so happy that Tony and Pete were mates, however, there is quite a bit of grief in this story. I didn't like what happened to the homes of the characters, or the awful things that happened to a couple of the characters. The main villain wasn't caught and I found that to be very frustrating. I did love the romance and relationship between Tony and Pete. It was heartfelt and the ending was touching. Well done storyline. =)

Great series

The books in this series are the first I've read from this author and they are great!! They pull you in right away and then the action begins - lots of love action & betrayal not of the main group of characters but around them & it's great to see how everyone handles the problems!!! I'm getting ready to start the last book in the series & I already know it'll great but I'm sad there won't be more

I'm really loving this series. In this book, the author really brought the intrigue and mystery with the fires. But also Pete had to persuade his mate that they were meant to be. I like that she keeps surprising with the mate pairings, along with all the twists and turns in the books. Keep them coming!!

Despite the title, this is one of the better books in the series. Tony, the Alpha mate's former flame, is a good match for Pete, one of the pack betas. The mating is feisty. The heat level is there. A little angsty, as once again the pack is put into danger as a result of interfering in council business. Good solid read.
