A hundred years after it sank on its maiden voyage, the Titanic continues to fascinate people around the world. This book tells you the inside story of this mighty ship, its epic journey and it’s tragic demise.
This book digs beneath the surface to tell you the whole story of the Titanic disaster. You will discover a whole host of amazing - and sometimes shocking - facts, including:
** the forgotten item that doomed Titanic to a grim appointment with an iceberg ** why the helmsmen steered the Titanic into the iceberg instead of away from it ** how the language you spoke could mean the difference between life and death ** why the crew started firing guns at passengers ** why most first-class passengers survived while most third-class passengers died ** how the moon helped to sink the Titanic ** why a nearby ship failed to come to the rescue ** why the Titanic didn’t have enough lifeboats
I like to read, wander cross-country, travel in cultures I don't understand, cycle, play squash, and I'm a foodie. But most of all I like to be in the throes of writing a book. This is invigorating work. The moment when the hard-won research combines with a bit of sweat and blood and occasionally a tear to become a fluid paragraph is like no other. What I hope to achieve is to suspend time and disbelief for the reader and carry her or him into another world, where they live more fully and in the moment.
:the title is titanic...The sinking of the unsinkable the author is king, dean the setting was on a boat which is the titanic and some of the characters jack which is the boy who is on the boat with some of his family members and then there is rosa who is also on the boat with some of her family members the conflict is that rosa was going to jump off the boat but then jack saw her and then he was talking to her out of it and they just talk and talk and then became friend and then bestfriends and then they were dating and were just having fun on the boat but then the boat hit the ice and the ship was sinking so they were in the water when the water was like -20 degrees and jake was trying to save rose but then jake was cold and then he froze to death but they had a lot of boats so people were getting in it they had the woman and the kids get in first so rose didn't get in and the fell in the water that's when jake try to save here but then jake froze to death so the boat that they had with a lot of people on them say rose and saved her and she was happy and sad because she is alive but jack died.my personal opinion is that the book is good and relates to the movie alot. The novel goes with the them because it really happend and it goes with the them because novel are somtome rally and somtimes can be fake. This book is good for people who like novel and real storys.
Short and concise and seemed to have some typos, but, overall, it told the story well, but without as much detail as expected. This book told the facts, with a small bit of speculation, but none of the dramatization of factionalized accounts.
Would I recommend the book titanic the sinking of the unsinkable, author is dean king, yes i would because it is really a good book and it has adventures and the value of work . The setting is the titanic on the water and the characters are captain .E.J smith, crew members and the class division the conflict is that the titanic hit an iceberg and was sinking and did not have enough boat to save everyone and some people had to die but they did not die as a nobody they died as a hero and easy i would recommend this to anybody who like a story How this book is related to the theme value of work is there was 10000 men working on the titanic for three years alot of men died work if that is not the value of work i dont know what that mean.
