Matt and Grace have been in an open, live-in relationship for four years. Both were raised in unconventional homes, Matt's parents having an open marriage, and Grace's parents being swingers. They didn't know they'd want their own relationship to be any different when they began seeing one another. Especially, Matt. However, he's been feeling restless and discontent of late, and what he thought he wanted, was no longer satisfying or bringing him pleasure.
He's realized it's time for a change.
On a whim, he flies Grace out to Denver during his business trip so they could spend Valentine's Day together. He doesn't have a rock solid plan beyond making use of every available surface in his hotel suite, but he does have a proposal for Grace, and it's one he hopes she's willing to consider.
The hero of this story loves his girlfriend so much that this Valentine's Day he's going to take their relationship to a new level. **Spoiler**-- he's going to give up their "open" relationship for just having threesomes with her. As an added bonus, they'll reach this agreement while the guy on the balcony across the way watches them screw. Be still my heart. It's like the Notebook or something.
Another quick and short read…I’m on a roll with non-stop reading of my free eBooks and I liked Committed: an erotic Valentine's Tale by an author i have never read.
Matt and Grace have an open relationship in their 4 year marriage. But Matt wants to change it to a monogamous one and he’s not sure if Grace feels the same way.
He decides to take her with him on a business trip for Valentine’s Day and what follows is one night of hot, steamy, fabulous sex in a public bathroom, in their hotel room with lots of champagne, strawberries and chocolate and even doing it with a voyeur checking them out!!!!
I liked the chemistry between the two... and are quite engaging. They seem to have a good and deep relationship and liked the way they discussed all the issues of multiple partners, monogamy and their feelings for each other.
For those of you that know me... and those that don't this is my little statement about short books.... I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that - short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer... but it is a short story. So with that said.... here is my review...
This was just that a quick story... So, I will not bore you with any informal information - like how I do love Ms. Matthew's voice... Or how her books have a way of worming their way in my system... Nothing like that! I will just let you know that I loved this book!
This is a straight up, to the point kinda book... This book has a little secret tucked away on the side of the road... A looker... A peeker of sorts... One who likes to watch... But that is not what the main story is about... No, the main story is Grace and Matt!!!!!! Matt is a scared man who is at the end of his rope with the state of his relationship and wants a change... What length is he willing to go to keep what him and Grace have!
This is one hot little Valentine read! The way Matt and Grace show each other how much they love each other is amazingly hot!!! Believe me, this little story will get you in the mood for some Sweet Valentine Loving!!!! I am not a Hussy for nothing!!
Matt and Grace have been involved in an open relationship for 4 years. Matt has noticed that Grace hasn't been taking advantage of the open part for a couple years. He has decided he wants to make it a committed relationship and that's his Valentine's Day present to Grace.
This is a good sex book that was ruined by the story, at least for me. Grace is basically a doormat for love. I didn't really like her and I definitely couldn't respect her. The sex scenes were great but I didn't care for the relationship between Matt and Grace at all.
Matt wants to change his and Grace's relationship and make it different from their parents. Grace has been waiting for Matt's discovery. Good tale, like how Matt has to discover for himself what Grace already knew. Liked that Grace did not nag nor throw hints around.
This is a very short novella about two lovers who grew up in families who had open relationships. By open I mean multiple partners, sometimes at once and sometimes just one-on-one. Matt and Grace have lived in an open relationship since they met, but they both know they love each other. For some time Grace has not taken part of the openness of the relationship, instead just indulging in Matt. Matt now has invited her on his business trip so they can have a talk and redefine their relationship or he will let her go so she can find a man who can give her what she wants.
I sometimes just want a quick book. This is it. I enjoyed it throughly, but I can't tell you more than what I just said or you wouldn't have to read the book. So I just suggest you read this wonderfully, erotic tale of two lover's on Valentine's Day.
Committed: An Erotic Valentine's Tale by Lissa Matthews is exactly what it purports to be: an erotic tale about lovers. The story is well-written, and the sex is smokin'. I give it 3.5 out of 5 cigarettes, with frequent, explicit love scenes that include voyeurism and references to an m/f/m threesome. The reader gets a healthy dose of delicious smut and a good feel for Matt and his wish for a change in the relationship. I didn't think Grace was as well developed as she could have been, and I wasn't completely satisfied with their proposed solution to their problem. It really seemed more like a slightly modified version of the status quo, rather than a sweeping change.

Steamy and romantic short about Matt and Grace who have been involved in an open relationship for four years. Lately Matt has been having second thoughts about their arrangement, he wants more and can only hope that Grace feels the same way. What follows is a hot encounter in a public bathroom, and an even steamier encounter in their hotel room involving a voyeur, champagne, chocolate and strawberries.
Their chemistry was intense, judging by the way they came together and afterwards during their talk. What I liked the most about this short was there was no angst. They managed to have a very mature conversation about their wants. It was charming and romantic. A perfect quick read.
Matt and Grace are in an open relationship for 4 years. Matt decides he wants more and flies Grace out to meet him on a business trip for Valentines Day. This was a super quick read (like 15 pages) that included sex in a public restroom and hot hotel sex with a voyeur, strawberries and chocolate sauce. A hot little romantic bedtime story. Great for a freebee!
So short it's hard to rate, but for a quicky it's 4 stars for story, 4.5 for heat.
I don't know which scene I like the best - the one in the airport bathroom, the one with the voyeur, or the one with strawberries - All good! I thought the story (yes there is a story somewhere in all the sex scenes, which were quite a lot for a short story) was going to go one way (hint: title) but kind of ended ambiguously. I wish the story dwelled more on the Valentine's Day menage-a-trois...
Matt and Gracie have an open relationship that has worked successfully for four years. When Matt wants a change, he’s scared – will Gracie want the same? He persuades her to join him for Valentine’s Day on a spur of the moment decision and braces himself to ask her.
It’s a sweet short story and makes a lovely – hot – quick read. 5 out of 5.
if you are looking for book with a good plot, strong characters and challenges this is definitely not it. if on the other hand all you want is a good sex then get it. i think this book is just pages of nothing but sex. no story line, the main character Grace isn't much of a strong person urgh it's just weird that's all
Short and sexy erotic romance about a couple who have been in an open relationship for four years but might just be ready to commit to only each other. A nice free read to see if you like the author's writing style.
It was fine but I kept feeling like it was a continuing story about a couple I should have known about already, like they had a book out there, and this was a catch-up story. Hot and sexy but too weighted down with emotions out of the gate to make you really settle into it
