I just love incorrect and dark humor, which is often on the edge, and also satire and exaggeration!! 🤩😁 Every single page was brilliant.🙌 10/10.

All right, there is a book which is supposedly written by Count Dracula himself. In this book he writes about his daily chores, includes pictures and posters and basically lets us peek into his mind. Have I mentioned it’s written in an accent? Yup, your eyeballs aren’t playing tricks on you. There are certain words you surely don’t encounter in English and things such as “window” are more likely to be written (and said aloud) as “vindow”.
The Count leads an interesting life and has a quite masochistic crush on Buffy. He designs his own capes, organizes anonymous meetings, stuggles as every child with his mother etc.
To sum this up, you will read this book in one sitting. It includes tons of pictures so there aren’t that many words to read. It’s hilarious, though. I loved it.

My expectations weren't really met... Funny at times and it's an interesting idea, writing a diary as if it's Dracula's but that's about it. I assume it has something to do with the translation... I read it in Dutch. Hope for others who will be reading it in English it'll be more fun! I did like the fact that there also clippings, personal lists and more "proof" of what Dracula is writing about.

Ale to było przyjemne i zabawne. Wreszcie coś stylem pasującym do mojego ulubionego serialu "Co robimy w ukryciu". Co ciekawe, książka jest w formie pamiętnika z wieloma zdjęciami, grafikami i notatkami. Jedynie co mnie w tej książce drażni to użyty specyficzny font. Dość ciężko sie czyta mimo okularów i dobrego światła.

Plus za naśmiewanie się z Zmierzchu. Piękne to było.

Was für ein kleines aber äußerst feines Werk.
Zur Zeit habe ich einen neuen Verlag für mich entdeckt, der genau solche sonderbaren Schätze auf eine ganz besondere Art und Weise veröffentlicht. Andere Titel sind bereits bestellt und werden sehnlichst erwartet.
Doch beginnen wir erst einmal mit diesem ganz privaten Einblick in das grandiose und schaurige untote Leben des Graf Dracula.
Wie super edel ist dieses Buch bitte designed ? Wir haben es mit einem Hardcover im kleineren Format zutun. Gezeichnet durch äußerst schicke Gravuren am Buchrand. Mystischer Barock-Stil.
Absolut mein Fall und ich habe mich sofort schockverliebt. Hochwertige Aufmachung mit Liebe zum Detail. Allein für ein düsteres Bücherregal ein gnadenloses Muss, dass in dieser Form eigentlich gar nicht fehlen darf. Wessen dunkles Herz jetzt nicht höher schlägt, bei dem läuft irgendwas falsch.
Doch nicht nur das Cover punktet enorm, auch der direkte Inhalt ist hochwertig und traumhaft schön ausgearbeitet. Eine tolle Illustration der Handschrift und tolle bildliche Motive auf festen und stabilen Papier bedruckt.
Rein zum Inhalt erklärt sich jedenfalls beinahe alles schon von alleine. Erleben tun wir den Inhalt aus der Ich-Perspektive. Denn wir verschaffen uns Zutritt in die Einblicke und der wirklichen Welt des Graf Dracula und ich kann euch versprechen, so habt ihr ihn noch nie erlebt.
Auf mich wirkt es fast wie eine komplett neue Interpretation dieser Figur. Gezeichnet vor lauter Humor und einem reizenden Hauch der Selbstironie. Zum ersten und wahrscheinlich auch zum letzten mal erleben wir den Grafen so eigen und selbst verloren.
Wir kennen alle die tragischen Vorfälle und die grausigen Blutbäder die Vampire hinterlassen. Doch hier wird einmal mehr auf den Punkt gebracht, wie das Leben außerhalb des Sargs wirklich aussieht. Probleme mit denen ein Vampir klarkommen muss, die eigene Empfindung zu sich selbst und seiner Umwelt, familiäre Ereignisse - denn auch eine Vampir Mutter fordert Pflichten und Verantwortungsbewusstsein, oder auch das Liebesleben welches tragischer kaum aussehen könnte. Denn wer möchte einem schon näher kommen, wenn man danach auf dem Serviertablett landet?
Und auch wenn man eine reichliche Menge an Erbgut mit sich trägt, so braucht man eine Beschäftigung wenn einmal keine edlen Bälle stattfinden.
Vieles häuft sich und füllt unsere nächsten 160 Seiten ganz speziell und äußerst charmant.
Da wir hierbei keinen wirklichen Story Verlauf haben, fällt diese Rezension recht kurz aus und ich möchte einfach loswerden, wie sehr ich dieses Buch genossen hab. Optisch sowie auch inhaltlich.
Es ist ein wunderbares Schmuckstück in meinem Regal und macht mich beinahe etwas stolz.
Zwischen Mitleid, Schmunzelein und grausigen Momenten wird uns alles geboten. Jedoch möchte ich gleich einmal vorweg nehmen, dass ich das Buch trotz allem preislich etwas zu teuer finde. Denn mit knapp 160 Seiten die nicht einmal komplett vollgeschrieben sind, hat man dieses schöne Werk schnell durchgelesen und es fordert keinen sonderlichen Anspruch.
Hierbei reicht es voll und ganz sich das Buch gebraucht anzuschaffen. So habe ich es ebenfalls getan und konnte es für 2 Euro ergattern, ohne jegliche Mängel etc. Ein absoluter Schnapper !
Fazit: Für alle Vampir Fans da draußen ein kleines Must Have. Für jedes düstere Bücherregal da draußen ebenfalls !
Wir bekommen einen hochwertigen Druck und ein liebevolles Design geboten, dass authentischer kaum sein könnte, geht es um das Thema Vampire. Eine kleine Augenweide voller Humor und Charme, doch auch die Tragik eines Untoten kommt nicht zu kurz, denn ein Tagebuch teilt schließlich auch sein Unheil und fordert das seelische Eigenheil.
Wer einen ganz privaten Einblick in das Leben des bekanntesten Vampiren werfen möchte, der sollte unbedingt zuschlagen. Denn außerhalb des Sarges ist ganz schön was los ! Von mir bekommt dieses grandiose Büchlein 4,5/5 Fledermäuse. Da das Preisleistungsverhältnis etwas überzogen ist, auch wenn es wunderbar verarbeitet wurde.

Ik had gehoopt dat Viv Croot het leven van Dracula spannend kon maken. Enge mensen achter hem aan laten gaan, er een verhaal van had gemaakt. Dat is niet gebeurd. Het was een saai boek waarin Dracula voortdurend over hetzelfde schreef en dezelfde dingen bedacht. In het begin was het wel leuk, maar op een gegeven moment ben je er klaar mee.

M-a atras ideea unui jurnal al Contelui Dracula. Încă de când am citit romanul lui Stoker mi-a fost puțin ciuda ca, alături de jurnalele celorlalte personaje principale, nu a existat în carte și un jurnal al lui Dracula. Desigur, un personaj negativ nu merita atâta cinste. "Jurnalul unui vampir", semnat de însuși Contele Dracula (altminteri scris, din cate am înțeles, de un/o anume Viv Croot - scuze, încă nu m-am documentat cu privire la autor ☺️) ne (re)introduce cu mult umor și fantezie în lumea celebrului vampir.
Dracula tine un jurnal care se întinde fix pe un an din chiar zilele noastre. Contele se documentează pe Internet, face comenzi și vânzări online, are Wi-Fi instalat în sicriu, scrie o nuvela romantica (nota 10 autorului pentru cum ironizează literatura ieftina ultrasentimentala cu aceasta ocazie!) cu titlul sarcastic de absurd "Cât de albastru, Inimă de abanos" și o copertă verde, și compune un rebus pentru a se obișnui sa facă față "lucrurilor incrucisate", cu trimitere, bineînțeles, la cruce. Rebusul se afla între paginile cărții și poate fi dezlegat acolo, ba are și cheie. Mi-a plăcut ca autorul real păstrează stilul romanului lui Stoker, respectiv scrie sub forma unui jurnal și a unor anunțuri media. În romanul lui Stoker exista și multa corespondență, aici nu. Avem, în schimb, afișe publicitare, scheme, însemnări de laborator și multa culoare, mai ales rosu. (Oare de ce?😉) Avem și negru, întrebarea din paranteză rămânând valabilă și în privința lui. Avem chiar și doua pagini albe în jurnal. Ba nu, punctate. Iar pe rândurile punctate nu scrie nimic. Avem - lucru pe care nu l-am înțeles- și o pagina în engleză. Netradusă adică. Ma întreb, în acest caz, cum o fi în original.
Nu lipsesc din jurnal nici expresiile consacrate în orice limbă , dar aici sunt "întoarse pe dos" fiindcă trebuie să i se potrivească universului lui Dracula: astfel "carpe diem" devine "carpe noptem", "pana târziu în noapte" devine "până târziu în zi", iar "s-ar răsuci în mormânt" se metamorfozează și el în cadrul propoziției "Tăticul s-ar întoarce în mormânt ".
Contele Dracula ne oferă privirilor nu doar fotografiile tuturor mireselor lui de la începuturi până în prezent (prezentul nostru, evident!), ci și arborele sau genealogic. Arbore în care sunt incluși nu doar Vlad Tepes, ci și Jack Spintecătorul, Edgar Allan Poe, Jane Austen, Regina Victoria și Elvis. (Fără Presley, dar nu contează. Contează?...) Apoi, are o listă de cărți pe care el le considera ca fiind cele mai proaste. În capul listei sunt "Dracula" lui Stoker și "Twilight". Pe Stoker îl consideră un șarlatan care a făcut mulți bani de pe urma lui.
Finalul cărții nu e deloc unul incurajator: Dracula vrea plată pentru că i-am citit jurnalul și se știe în ce fel i se poate plăti unui vampir.
I-am acordat doar patru stele fiindcă uneori mi se pare că umorul cărții e prea mult. De exemplu nu înțeleg ce rost are sa o menționeze de mai multe ori pe Mămica lui, asa cum nici apelativul diminutiv nu îl înțeleg. În rest, mie mi s-a părut o minune de carte! Recomand!

Jurnalul unui vampir , suna promitator . Doar suna, nu este .
I-am acordat doar doua stele acestei carti , fiindca este intruchiparea absurdului pentru mine . Nu pot spune ca am vazut ceva interesant in ea , ca m-a captivat in vreun fel sau altul .Poate nu e cartea potrivita pentru mine . Rezumatul pe care l-am gasit pe spatele cartii parea promitator , coperta de asemenea .Cartea fiind sigilata , nu am putut sa vad ce e inauntru .Cand am vazut , am ramas socata de multitudinea de poze , care , ie imi par inutile .Nu are o descriere ampla ,unele lucruri pur si simplu fiind spuse , fara nici un detaliu. Nu va fii una dintre cartile pecare le voi reciti . Limbajul a fost unul extrem de absurd . Secvente precum ''wireless in sicriul meu sangeriu'' nu sufera alaturare in inima mea . Cartea incearca sa aiba un limbaj infricosator , folosindu-se de cuvinte vechi sau cuvinte care ar trebuii sa faca trimitere la un vampir , dar , totusi imbinat cu unul contemporan .

Since I found this book in the children's section of the store I bought it at I was a little.. surprised at some of the more sexual content. I became then a little lost on what age group it was supposed to target, since the overall design of the thing does lend it more to, say, 12 or under (or, you know, the adult that is amused by this sort of thing) - but, don't judge a book by its cover, I suppose.

It's a quick and easy read and I must admit to finding it rather amusing. Laughed out loud a few times. No masterpiece, but sufficiently entertaining that I'd recommend it to people that would appreciate the style of humour.

I was lucky to come across this book! It is a great read. Darkly funny and devilishly tasteful! Of course you need a morbid sense of humour to laugh at the subtle jokes, satires and sarcasm. It makes you think, firing neurons connecting the hair-raising vampire lore with the "teenification" of vampire cults in popular media. It is written from the "glorious" perspective from the big V himself, Count Vlad Dracula, full with notes, business cards, diagrams, invoices etc. When you finish the book you wonder - yes why not? This could very well be his diary!

Well written. A collector's book indeed!

It's nice that the book is so thin, because you can finish it at once. If it was longer, it would have become boring. The book is supposed to be funny and has very dry humor in it. Sometimes I didn't get the jokes though, dry humor isn't my kind of thing. But it was entertaining and worth reading, although I had higher expectations.

Jurnalul uni vampir este chiar un jurnal, scris pe perioada unui an, chiar de insusi Contele Dracula!
Este un pamflet amuzant, cu multe poze, schite, harti si informatii despre viata contelui.
Este foarte usor de citit pe alocuri chiar amuzanta. I-am dat doar doua stele, cred ca daca eram inca in perioada adolescentei mi-ar fi placut foarte mult!
