A Economia da Natureza

Rate this book

It is a useful introductory book to all aspects of ecology and to have a quick look at ecological concepts, however I found it too simplistic in some topics (interactions, population dynamics, etc). In my studies, I frequently had to search for other references to obtain a more profound understanding of the subject.
But overall, it is a interesting book for an undergraduate student. It can provide reliable information and a wide view of the questions and challenges of this exciting field.

My first read through ecology book. Excellent experience on an iPad.

Though I am engaging in ecological research, shamely, this is my first ever ecology book. My fragmented knowledge about ecology has never been systematic. This book however helps me to boost my level quite a bit.

A thick book like this is unlikely to be digested in one day. Note taking is highly recommended. Traditional linear notes are not suitable here however. A software that helps you to organize and categorize subjects and information is a must.

A little dry but packed with information that helps me give scientific depth to my environmental policy background.
