I am not a homeschooler , but my path from elementary school to college
graduation was stormy and frustrating and filled with a lot of unexpected
interruptions and detours . But with willpower , optimism and good health
I got there . So when I saw the title of this book , it stirred curiosity as to how
others guided themselves through their own maze of choices and succeeded in
getting themselves educated .
What I found out is that these kids had more decision making help than I did .
But I could still identify with such topics as : wanderlust , work/life balance ,
fear of the quintessential "cubicle " job , the impact loss of a loved one can have on your studies , having a master plan , and the humiliation of failure .
Only 61 pages . Not a bad piece of info for those who are aiming high .

If you've ever had it with the constraints, bureaucracy, limited scope and limited opportunities of traditional schooling, if you've ever wondered if there's more, this book's for you. These students' stories are an introduction to the possibilities accessible outside of an inflexible system.

I also recommend this author's guide for pursuing your own education: Opportunities After 'High School'.
