The perfect length to learn about the courageous and important contributions of women during the Revolutionary War. Molly’s story is fascinating! 💙 🇺🇸

At just over 💯 pages, there are wonderful photographs, Q&As, timelines, and more. I want to add this nice hardcover to my own library soon.

We don't often hear about the women who contributed to the American Revolution. This book focuses on Molly Pitcher in the Battle of Monmouth, but also includes additional chapters on other battlefield heroines.

I love the questions after each chapter to help kids retain the information they just read. The book is great for teaching children about women’s roles in history and how the actions of ‘housewives’ and ‘mothers’ often effected major outcomes in history. The story of Molly Pitcher is one example in this book that includes the contributions of others like her, women and sometimes girls, willing to risk it all to fight for their belief, their family, their home.
