Two sisters and their cousin all receive letters from a Boston lawyer inviting them to attend the reading of their grandfather's will. They have no idea what this will involve them in. Their lives could change forever.
I came to the United States from Northern Ireland after WWII and lived in New York for many years. When I married, we went to live in New Jersey. Now we have one foot in Florida. And so it goes.
I've always been writing in one form or another, starting with a poem at age 7. But not until a few years ago did I manage to buckle down and write something longer. The Internet had a lot to do with this. To me, the computer and Internet freed me to write and opened new worlds. My hope is to continually improve.
I'm a big reader of cozy mysteries. Nothing better than a purring cat at your elbow, maybe a cup of coffee and a nice comfortable sofa! Ah, if I only had a fireplace, I could not be moved at all.
I hope readers will have a look at my works and hopefully, give them a review. The old saying is, if you don't like it, tell me or say nothing. If you do like it, tell the world.
Dangerous Inheritance is not your normal romance although it contains a romance element; it is not a typical murder mystery although there is a murder. It is a good mystery full of weird leads, kidnappings and manipulations of the three main character's lives.
It all starts with two sisters, Lee and Cassie and their cousin Derek are summoned to Boston for the reading of their grandfather's will, although none of them have ever met him or know anything about him. They are each given $10,000 and a one-year challenge, which turned out totally differently then any of them expected.
I loved the twists and turns, the element of danger, and the ending with several surprises for the cousins that learned what was really important in life and how to set goals to improve themselves and make a difference for those they loved.
This old chestnut gets a soggy treatment in this book. Someone is trying to interfere with grandfather's plans to dole out the family fortune. who is not much of a mystery. In fact granddad provides only one surprise. THe plot is weak, the romances are weak, the mystery is transparent. The story begins with some interest and goes steadily downhill.
The plot seemed so promising and mysterious , the writing however was superficial and the events so staged . There was no depth to the characters or the mystery . The last three chapters seemed to get much better , but then it was over .
