I purchased this book at a time when I felt that I was dropping all the balls I was attempting to juggle. This book helped me to gain perspective and apply practical techniques to aggressively pursue peace in my life. My biggest lessons learned from this book include:
+ realizing that I can fight Satan or people -- not both
+ understanding that God gives me grace every day to do what He wants me to do, not necessarily what I want to do
+ knowing that the pursuit of peace is a full-time job
+ seeing that I need to be at peace with God, at peace with myself, and at peace with others

I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a greater level of peace in her life. For me, this book helped me to accept that God has already given me, and wants me to have, peace; I just need to pursue it. I wish the same understanding (and peace!) to others.

Whether you might be searching for freedom from the burdens that drag you down from day to day OR you might be at the highest peak of your "walk" - this book really touches on aspects I think beneficial for all to ponder. It helps us know that God loves us no matter our circumstances and provides the tools to guard against our own enemies (finances, depression, stress, fear, etc.)... but it's up to us to use our Mighty resource to the fullest!

I generally do not read self-help books, especially from televangelists. I made an exception for Joyce Meyer. I enjoy watching her on tv. She is no-nonsense and straight to the point. Rather than read it all at once, I slow down and read only one chapter every few days so I can digest her messge and put it to use in my life.

I recently returned to the workforce after having my first child. This book has really helped me to simply let go of the things that I can't control and be okay with my reality. It's as if every issue in my life is addressed whenever I open the pages. I love the clear and direct way that she really spells things out. I highly recommend this book to anyone. It'll definitely help you stop worrying about the next year, day, minutes.

Really good. Practical. But assumes coming from a place where you usually choose rage and anger in conflict and teaches you to calm down and let offenses go. Could be dangerous for a codependent who already lets everything go and doesnt speak up in conflict. Just doesn't address the other side. Which is fine, but you have to read it already knowing what your unhealthy behavior is and read it in light of that.

What I've learned from this book is simply, that I'm too BLESSED to be stressed. I found that once I pray of things that bother me, I leave it alone and let GOD handle it, and thus far things have been very peaceful and calm in my life.

This is One GOOD Read!

Great book! This book really helped me learn how to become more peaceful. The only downfall is I need a copy of it pasted to my forehead so I can read it everyday. I struggle with finding that peace I read about! HA!

anything by Joyce Meyer is excellent. She is such a no-nonsense, down-to-earth spiritual leader. The book is a great way to study what God wants for us without having to try and decipher the ancient text wording yourself. Joyce's presentation is superb.

I really like Joyce's style. She's simple enough to understand, but there is such a depth and truth to her message. There was a lot of information and it's going to take me a while to kind of ponder it all, but that's why I took notes - so I could go back over them whenever I wanted.
