DNF. This book was kind of boring and started mention proms... plus boys. I just couldn't read it any more. I felt a little annoyed the whole time. Not rating it. I might come back to it one day.

OH MY GOODNESS GUYS!!! This book was sooooo great!! It’s definitely a love for me, and I’m not usually a contemporary book girl, but for this collection- OH YEAH!
I loved how Lauraine Snelling put so much work into her attitude and thoughts, it all just seemed so real!! OK, this book isn’t all just butterflies and horses though, THIS IS A TERRIBLY SAD BOOK! I can’t even say how sad this book is!! But yet, it’s something you just HAVEEEE to read! +It’s a Christian book!

This was one of the books I've read this year. This is the story of Trish and her horse, Spitfire. Trish has a dream to be a competitive horseback rider. The only think that holds her back is her father's illness.

I loved this story so much, and flew through it. Really fast paced and hard to put down.

My only issue with this series is Trish's mom. She didn't need to be so worried about her daughter riding. If anything, she should've been more supportive, in my oppinion.

The cancer storyline with Trish's father was really sad. Can't wait till I get volume 2!

I was pleasantly surprised by this book, being about 2 of my least favourite things - horses and religion. Horses are beautiful but I'm scared of them. I know the book was aimed at 8-11yr old but it was nice to read something uncomplicated. I even ordered the second collection, which I'm waiting for.

Forgot about all the religion, but the storyline is still killer, as is the character development and research into the racing world.

This series and High Hurdles, also by Mrs. Snelling, were my childhood favorites. I absolutely love revisiting these characters and their stories 😍

Good story. I'd count it as one. A lot of repetition of horse behavior, but that is how it goes. Loved the Christian weave throughout.

I love this book. I didn't expect this much christianity in it. You rarely get books like that!! I definitely can tell that this is a christian book. I love it. It also makes me love it more because I love horses and racing. I am glad that there are still good books like this in the world. I want to read these books, also by Lauraine Snelling: Golden Filly Collection Two; High Hurdles Collection One; High Hurdels Collection Two. Thses are also good sounding books. I am glad that the Lord gave me a relief from all of the world's books!! I know that my horse-riding teacher would love these great novels, too. I should tell her about them. She is a christian, like me. I like her a lot. I hope that Lauraine Snelling continues to write these types of books for people like me! I love these christian novels!!!!!!

This is a satisfying story. It was an easy read and I could just relax and enjoy it. It is touching story of Tricia and her horse which she helped raise and train as a racing horse. At the age of 14 she started officially riding as a jockey and was very successful. At the same time she struggles with the cancer of her adored father.I won't ruin the story for anyone. This is a story of faith in God.

I love these books! I was rereading this series after watching the Kentucky Derby. I first read this series as a teenager, and I love them just as much reading them as an adult. I grew up loving horses and there were not many books much less series about horses. I love the premises, I love the characters. This series is inspirational and a must read for horse lovers.

This is a wonderful horse book and ACTUALLY written by someone who ACTUALLY knows horses! Pretty realistic and emulates the life of a real teenager who makes mistakes and has emotions like real people do.

Lauraine Snelling writes in a way that captures the reader.
I couldn't put the book down until I was finished and even then I wanted to read more.
And its not all about horses as some books tend to be like that.
A really great read and would recommend it to anyone!
