Stunning. Being the matchmaker is hard work but when her own match gets bitten by a vampire things get out of hand. Why does everyone want him? Why is he different to our vampires? When he is kidnapped, she is in a race against time to rescue him. Will she get to him in time? A great read.

Rose has done it again, another book I just love I couldn't put it down! Just when Rylie thinks she can breathe something happens if its not due to her uncle & Lily its Jack then throw in Stephen, Jennifer's Cop-boyfriend. And a whole team of Vamp's especially a hunk of a one Quinton comes in(Yum) I loved the ending I actually laughed for me when Lily asked her to be her maid of honor you notice Lily has no one but Rylie that's why she keeps bugging her. Loved how she gave a huge hint about the next book with Jennifer's red glowing eyes! AMAZING this is a must Read!!!!!!! Can't wait for the next book How to date a Demon!

This book picks up right where the other left off with Rylie headed to her parent's house with Jack in tow. Vampires are hassling them because of her uncle's gambling debts. During the scuffle Jack gets bit. But he doesnt become full vampire, but something else that Rylie knows nothing about. She comes to realize she actually knows little about most of the other paranormals. Other vampires try to come after Jack, some to save him and some to hurt him, but who knows which ones are the good guys. A couple new characters introduced and some definite changes with the boyfriends, sure there will be more on that in the next one. A little unsure on the whole turning someone into a vampire though. So they would be turning everyone they ate from into a vampire? Huh.
Rylie Cruz runs Get A Mate Dating service for humans and the paranormal. She has a knack for pairing the right people together. She has just started dating the very attractive, Jack Chandler who just happens to be a Psychiatrist. When things start to go wrong and Jack is attacked by vampires while savings her and her parent’s lives, the trouble begin.
The love the quirky style of Rose Pressey’s books. This book is fun and has plenty of adventure into the world of vampire and werewolves. You will enjoy reading it and will hunger for more. I highly recommend it.
Don't you hate it when you read a sequel to an amazing book and it totally lets you down? THIS IS NOT THAT BOOK!!! Another wonderful adventure/mystery/Romance for our darling Rylie. Snarky, vulnerable and lovable, Rylie is a heroine that should remind each of us a little of ourselves. Fabulous story line, fabulous characters and a tingly romance. Love this book! Love this author.
Another win from Miss Pressey! Rylie is even more lovable! With Jack and Stephen being turned to full fledged vampires it's going to get really interesting. But poor Jennifer! She's the only normal one in the bunch! Or is she..? Cannot wait for three!

I liked this book more than the first in Rose Pressey's "How to Date a ..." series; and I loved that book! Once again, Rose Pressey does it. She delivers a great read. I just love her easy-going, easy-to-read writing style. It's a sure hit. Way to go, Rose. :)
The first book in this series was OK. I wouldn't have read this book if I didn't already have it. I should have just skipped it though. I found myself really disliking some of the characters, including the heroine. I found her to be rude and stupid. The premise that she would be running a dating service for paranormals but know virtually nothing about any of them was ridiculous. I did finish the book but it took forever because I disliked it so much I kept finding other things to do rather than read. The book should have taken a day or two at the most. Don't waste your time on this book.
I was very excited to read this book. I love Rylie and thunk it's great she has finally found a boyfriend. Maybe. The only thing holding me back from this awesome story is she was getting on my nerves with the smart mouth comebacks. At some point I was really rolling my eyes telling her to move on. Again the story and Rylie I love. I do look forward to moving on to the next book.
This story has a lot of fabulously crazy antics along with deadly serious danger. Rylie has a tendency to freak out rather frequently, but it's simply part of her charm. Several new characters like Quenton and Isabelle added depth to the story.
I usually like Rose Pressey's books but the Kindle version of this one had some typos and name swaps that made it seem hastily brought together and not as much fun to read. Just because I'm a sucker for a series I'm going to read the next one but if it wasn't already published I probably would never look for the next in the series.
How to Date a Vampire was a really nice follow-up to the first book of this series. Now that Rylie doesn't have any werewolves following her, you would think that her and Jack are finally going to able to enjoy their new relationship. But a few vamps seem to think otherwise... they seem to want something from Jack and Rylie will do everything to protect her boyfriend.
Werewolf shifter winds up embroiled in vampire problems when one of them half turns her boyfriend during a brawl at her parents house. Hard to tell who really wants to help and who is murderous. Lots of chasing all over NOLA, including the cemeteries! Very snarky and engaging.
I like I like this one better than the first one. It was really capturing. I was hooked within the first chapter. I really loved how the plot escalated the more I read it. It was fun, entertaining and really easy to read.
And, with this one, I'm done trying to read Rose Pressey books. They just aren't that good. This one was even more boring and bland than all the others. I tried. I really did. Several different series. They all are just too, nothing.
Story was interesting but there were frequent grammatical errors and improper uses of synonyms so I just had to quit.. Need a good proof reader prior to publishing.
Barely finished this one due to the exceptionally high number of copy-editing errors in the 2nd half of the book. Too bad for the author, but no excuse for this amount.
I quite enjoyed the first book in this series, How to Date A Werewolf, but I felt this book wasn't quite as good. This one started off immediately as the previous one finished with Rylie fighting off some vampires at her parents house, who were looking for her Uncle Ernie. During the fight, her human boyfriend Jack gets bitten by a vampire and this turns him into a half vampire, or the living dead. He begins to act strangely, the sunlight hurts his eyes and he starts to crave blood. Rylie now has to work out how to save him or help him, but she tells us quite often she doesn't know enough about the paranormal world and she hasn't got a clue about whom to trust.
Various other vampires come to try and take Jack away, either to help him or kill him Rylie never quite knows. Rylie does everything she can to stop him from being taken, but when she does finally lose him, she sets off on a mission to find him. However, she has no idea where to go or who has him, but with the help of Quinn, yet another vampire, she manages to track him down and kind of save him.
I really didn't like Rylie in this book. She was very immature, childish most of the time, angry at virtually everyone even when it wasn't justified and just down right irritating. I wanted to slap her most of the time and I just have no idea why her attitude is so negative all the time to everyone and everything. OK, so vampires are probably not the ones to trust, but when someone offers her help, surely she should be at least a little gracious and trust them a little bit. Quinn, for example, didn't give her any real reason to distrust him yet she treated him like a bag of sh*t! And yet he still helped her whether she deserved it or not!
Not sure if it was a kindle thing either, but there were quite a few typos in this one as well, such as be instead of me, her instead of here etc etc. Maybe I'm being picky, but these little things irritate me! :P
Not sure if I'll read the next book in the series or not yet. If it's cheap for the kindle then I probably will eventually.
This is a 3.5 star read. Rylie Cruz is a great character and I love her to death but she can be so out there sometimes. With that said, I do like the story here. It's a fun quick run through the streets of New Orleans as Rylie faces yet another obstacle in her quest to finally get close to Jack.
When last we saw Rylie she was getting ready to rush to her parents house along with Jack. Well apparently when they arrive they end up in a fight with the vampires who have come looking for her Uncle Ernie. During the fight Jack is bitten and while Rylie hopes for the best, based on movie transformations, she knows that she may now be dating a vampire. Things only take a turn for the worse, as if things could get any worse, when the vampires comes and want to take Jack away for an unknown reason.
Also getting in on the action are Rylie's best friend and roommate Jennifer Matthews, who is human along with Lily the crazy client and werewolf who will not go away. With various vampires who all seem to have varying agendas, Rylie has no idea who to turn to for help.
If you are in the mood for a light read with characters that are appealing and fun, then this is for you. I found myself actually laughing out loud at times and that means it definitely has merit.
Be aware however that it does contain some spelling errors, extra words, and missing words throughout. I know that can bother some, but does not detract from the story itself.
Another cute, clean read in the Rylie Cruz series. Like the first book, How to Date a Werewolf, this one is almost completely made up of half-truths, misinterpretations, and withheld information. I actually get incredibly frustrated with this type of plot device. I tire of it easily and this one started to feel really quite slap stick after a while. Why can no one just say "come with me, please, because..." Nope, it all has to be veiled threats and attempted intimidations which, of course, Rylie resists. Who wouldn't? Similarly, Rylie is constantly being stalked or followed and never once does she just stop, turn around, and say, "What the hell do you want?" Of course, if such straightforward tactics were used the story would be 15 pages long, so maybe I do understand it after all.
Though I mostly enjoyed the story, I did feel that it ended abruptly. It wasn't a cliff-hanger, but there were quite a few open threads and the ending felt clipped. I actually flipped back and forwards to ensure I hadn't missed a couple pages. Lastly, I notice quite a few more editing mistakes in this one than the first. It was still perfectly readable, but they were noticeable. Despite that, it was a fun little bit of light entertainment.
Meh. I've read most of this author's books, which I've found to be cute, charming, and perfect when I need a quick read. I thought 'How to Date a Vampire' was just ok, though. The story felt rushed (especially the end), and Rylie's constant and repetitive internal debates over whom to trust, what to do, etc., just started to get tedious after a while. Also, and it may just be because I read the Kindle version, but the editing was so poor it was distracting. At least two passages were repeated (nearly verbatim) from 'How to Date a Werewolf,' including one paragraph describing how Rylie's beef sandwich somehow managed to survive despite all her running and fighting. It was annoying. I will still probably read the next book in the series, but I did find this one to be fairly disappointing.
I didn't highlight a single thing in this book- and I'm a compulsive highlighter. If I see something that make me laugh, or think, I highlight. nothing. I was curious what would happen to Rylie and Jack from the first book, but I actually skipped pages in this book to get ahead and just find out what happened already so I could start reading something else.
Dare I saw there was too much witty banter? Is there such a thing? Generally I'm a banter-y girl, but this went beyond. I didn't know or care about the characters enough to think "oh, she's so sassy" It was more like "yes, yes, so clever...har har"
Hmph. And yet I read the next book. Which was more enjoyable to me...I have no idea.
This is the second book in the Rylie Cruz series and picks up where "How To Date A Werewolf" ended. A lot happens to Rylie and her friends in this story and we meet a lot of new characters...some I hope we learn more about in future books(clears throat here...Quinton...hint...hint). This is a fast...fun...light read that you will not want to put down until it is finished! So grab a copy of the two "How To Date" books...make a cup of your choice of beverage...find your favorite place to read and enjoy!
Another FUN read from Rose Pressey! How does Rylie find herself in so much trouble. It's like she is a trouble magnet. When her boyfriend Jack becomes a vampire after a fight at her parents home, they are on the constant move to try and Lose the vampires on their trail trying to do away with them. When Rylie wakes to find they have kidnapped Jack she has to find him before its too late.
Meh. How to Date a Werewolf was much better. I wanted to love this one, too, but it didn't seem to really flow in most places. I'll definitely read more of Pressey's books, but this was by far my least favorite of her works so far.
I tried, I really did, read about 75 pages, but I have given up. It's not the story line, the story itself is interesting...but I just can't get into the author's writing style....at least I think that's the problem.
I may try a different series by this author at a later date.
