Jay Lang has been fooling himself by thinking he’s bisexual, because when it comes to Martin Petrie, he can’t stop imaging hot steamy sex. Martin calls his bluff in a single searing kiss from his perfect lips. Now Jay can barely hang onto his heart as Martin sets out to prove just how “bi” Jay isn’t.
I SUCK at remembering to log in and approve friends. I'm so sorry I've made some of you wait. Please forgive my apparent chill, I swear it's not intended. Come hug me!
Short, hot story about two friends discovering they mean more to each other. Jay may be the one who finally kicks it off by admitting he wants to kiss his friend Martin. All the excuses (like that he is bi) dn;t work anymore and Martin couldn't be more relieved. This is a typical case of two friends wanting the same thing but being too afraid to admit it.
If you like friends-become-lovers stories, hot men who bond over a football game, then sex, and if you're looking for a quick, entertaining read, you may like this story.
As a rule I like this author’s work and I even like the friends-to-lovers trope, however in this case it just didn’t work for m. Jay and Martin have been friends and roommates for a long time, and ever since Jay walked in on Marting wanking off in the shower a year ago, he’s been obsessed, especially with Martin’s mouth. However he continues to date a bevy of women thinking he has no chance. However one day, watching the football game, he turns obnoxious, razzing Martin about his team’s play, trying to start a fight which he figures will distract him from his lusting. However Martin surprises him by turning it around and making a move on Jay, which leads to much hot sex for man-virgin Jay.
A few things didn’t add up for me. They have been good friends and roommates and Martin declares he’s gay to Jay’s surprise. He thought he was dating a girl who Martin claims is his “hag”. Really, you lived together and you never noticed that he and his girlfriend NEVER kissed or held hands? Well, where I come from gay guys and their girl posses don’t, maybe I’m out of the loop. How can you live with someone and be friends and be totally clueless that they are dating men?
Martin also claims he knows that Jay has been lusting after him, but was tired of waiting for him to make a move. Why wait if you knew he was attracted? Now you make a move? Martin was concerned with his heart, as he’d been in love with Jay for a long time, and he’s worried when Jay gets over his “curious” phase Martin will be left with a broken heart, but then why make a move at all? I just didn’t know enough about the guys outside of this one scene to really understand their dynamic.
The sex was pretty raunchy and Jay discovers a heretofore undiscovered side for a bit of kink and they both profess their love, but I just wasn’t feeling it. I think because I felt I didn’t know enough about them and while the clueless friend can be cute, I just couldn’t believe that if Jay was as obsesses with Martin as he claimed for the last year, he wouldn’t have noticed the guy going out on dates, which he obviously did because he was no beginner.
I think there are better examples of this author’s work out there if you want to try it out. This one just didn’t work for me, but you never know, maybe someone else will find it right up their alley, as it’s not poorly written, the couple just didn’t gel for me.
