Naked Games

Rate this book
Dean enjoys women of all varieties, but unless they’re naked and in his bed he doesn’t have much use for them. He trusted his heart and soul to a woman before and he won’t let it happen again. Then Dean meets curvy Catherine Michaels, the mouthy woman claiming to be Gracie Baron’s long lost baby sister. He’s immediately suspicious of the pretty redhead, but he can’t seem to keep his distance. He aches to strip her bare so he can sip at her satiny skin. But once Dean’s had a taste of her succulent body, he wants more. In fact, he wants her for his own.

My friend picked this book off the shelf at Barnes & Nobles and told me it sounded good so I should get it. So I read the back & thought "Hey this sounds like a good book. Obviously there has got to be a lot of kinky sex in it!" Bought it.

There was like 2 scenes where it got a little kinky and my friends, that was it.

Catherine: Beautiful woman. Gorgeous long red hair. Can dance like a goddess. Is a web designer for a living. But what is the shape of this girl?! It goes from sounding like she is this skinny hot chick to all of a sudden she's bigger than average, and sounding like she's bigger with globe boobs... The way she was described at times had me so confused. I couldn't get a good mental image of what she looked like because of the way they described her weight. MAYBE I interpreted the descriptions wrong. I DON'T KNOW! Either way, I missed it.

Dean: Douche bag at times? Yes. Hot at other times? Yes. I like you, but sneaking around behind Catherine's back was a dick move.

When it came to all the other characters:

Overall, it was a good book. I did really like it. It had the "broken girl" who finds out her life is full of nasty secrets. She met this guy, fell in love in like less than a week, had a lot of hot sex, he hurt her, she left, she goes back, etc, etc, etc.

SOOO if you want to read a romance book where two broken people find love in a short period of time, this book is a good one. But don't get your hopes up about a lot of kinky sex. Ain't happenin.

2 sterren.

3 star Instalove story

After her parents died, Catherine found out she was adopted. She tracks down her long lost sister Gracie, and flies from Atlanta to Ohio to meet her. But everyone is not so thrilled. Gracie's soon to be brother-in-law, Dean, doesn't trust Catherine's motives. He feels she is hiding something, despite evidence to the contrary. His trust issues stem from women betraying him in the past. But they quickly enter a sexual relationship.

This story was sex, sex, and more sex. Pages and pages of it. I got bored really quick. Especially since the scenes weren't that hot to me. There was also some interference by Dean's family, which always gets on my nerves. The instalove was OTT. They fell in love in 5 days. I'm all about some instalove, but that was even a bit quick for me. And I didn't care for the fact that Catherine slept with Dean even though she knew he didn't trust her.

Overall this book was ok, but didn't draw me in as much as Gracie and Wade' story. There was no suspense, or even a good plot. On the lower end if 3 star rating.

Shortly after her parents die, Chatherina Michaels finds to be adopted as a baby, having a sister in Ohio. She starts searching and goes over to visit her half sister.

Wright after meeting Gracie, she meets her brother in law, Dean. Tall, muscled, dark hair and intriguing eyes. He doesn't trust her and feels himself sexually drawn to her, as she to him. The little sparks turns in to a big, hot flame quickly. Then, he has her history checked out...

I gave this book 3 stars. I think the writing style is stiff and some stuff aren't correct. At first, his fathers dies in a heart attack, later in the book it's an aneurysm, for example. A better editing could prevent this kind of mistakes. Also, I don't think the writer doesn't know as much of the suspens way of living. Thought, her sexual scenes are well writen, they all stay pretty virtuous.

You like some spunky reading not reaching the edge, this book is just wright for you. You rather like the real suspense, I suggest you go on and search for better.

**3-1/2 Stars**

Naked Games was the 3rd book in the Hard to Get series, and I'd rank it my 2nd favorite. Dean and Catherine had a conflict that seemed contrived, but it did put a certain amount of angst in the storyline. From the book blurb, I expected Dean to be an adventurous wild man in bed, and I just didn't feel that he lived up to that AT ALL. I didn't notice anything very daring (although the sex was hot). This was just a ho-hum storyline with hot romance leading to an expected HEA.

Great Book!! Talk about HOT AND STEAMY!! This book has it all! I loved loved loved Dean!! Although he has truth issues it doesn't take away from the fact that he is HOT HOT HOT!! You can tell he does care a lot of Catherine and in the end it proves it. The book has a HEA. It also give you more information about the other characters from the series so I suggest you read the books in order.

Anne Rainey knows how to write a great erotic story!

This one was a bit of a mixed bag for me. Overall, I think I liked the general storyline, but there were too many flaws in the "motivation" aspects of the book. The expected trust issues (seems to be the foundation of most romance books these days) were just really far-fetched and unfounded in this book...so it didn't hold the story together enough. It wasn't a total waste of reading time, but, I don't think this had my interest enough to read the other two books in this series.

Nice addition.

I wasn't a huge fan of Dean and Catherine. I'm not sure why, they just didn't hold my interest as much as the previous books. It's lost likely me and NOT the storyline or characters. I'd definitely recommend Naked Games to anyone looking for a steamy make things interesting book with some drama.

Least favorite of trilogy. Liked Dean and his alpha personality, however, I couldn't connect with grace. I'm pretty good at suspending reality, I read to get away from reality at times, but their relationship moved too fast, and I couldn't get on board with them.

Not bad at all. I'll have to go back and read the first two of this series. I actually liked the characters, which is somewhat unusual for these type books. Hot stuff.

Purtroppo a tratti è ripetitivo.

A touch of BDSM, nothing to hard core. Nice story line definitely would recommend it.
