While there were some helpful tips in this book about getting ahead in the workplace, it lacked an interesting pace. It read just like a self help, business book. Actually, the book made me think of college books. Which, in my opinion, is not necessarily a good thing. So basically, great message, but mediocre delivery. - I received this book free from Good Reads First Reads.

A really great read that combines the authors love of golf to practical applications for everyday life. I especially liked how the author included a glossary in the book and she really did explain the golf terminology in simple terms.

A really well written and useful book for targeting success.

Lorii Myers does a wonderful job guiding the reader on the essentials of what makes up a successful attitude, and in particular, the very practical tips and steps provided by the author are straight-forward, easy for anybody to apply and very powerful.

You begin to experience the benefits of Ms. Myer's approach from day one.

A great read. I would certainly recommend this series.

I reread this book two weeks ago before going to a job interview.

I honed my "barrier-breaking" mindset (from the third hole) and today I got the call saying I got the job.

I went to the interview armed with confidence. Something that had been missing.

Thank you!

This book uses the game of golf to help explain business and how to succeed in business. The first nine holes are used to teach what you need to do in yourself to be ready for success in the workplace. At the turn asks you to figure out what you want in business and life. Without a goal you have nothing to work for. The back nine holes teach you how to put what you have learned in the front nine to work. They talk about risk and reward.
This book gave me the way to start thinking about how to move ahead or move on from where I am now. It also gave me the tools I need to begin my journey. I found the risk and reward part to be very important to me. I found the whole book to be interesting. It even had a glossary at the end of the book with golf terms for people who have not played and did not know the terms. This book was great for me and my personal development.

I found 3 Off the Tee a very useful source of knowledge. I could immediately use the suggestions and tips at work to improve myself as an employee, and also as a manager. I found myself remembering the concepts from the book when I was in a particularly hard situation and got it resolved with ease. I am really impressed that this book has proven to be so helpful.

I liked the golfing references in 3 Off the Tee as well. I am not a golfer at this point in time, but used to golf with my grandmother when I was younger. I found that a lot of the comparisions of workplace to a golf game worked for me. I initially was not too sure that it would be able to tie in very well, but it did.

I plan on keeping this book very handy and re-reading it as needed.

I received this book a few months back and unfortunately 'lost' it in one of my many book piles. It was very uplifting and helpful! What a good use of golf for becoming a success in the business world. I am not a great golfer, but am feeling the urge to now get out there and start improving! The first half of the book is devoted to becoming the best you can be personally (holes 1-9). The second half focuses on the work world and how to be successful there. I especially liked holes 14-18. The encouragement and tools to improve as a leader were right on and helpful. I read many business and leadership books and this one is one of my favorites. I look forward to the next one. Great job Lorii! Thanks! Read this everyone!

Terrific book with great concepts and applicable ideas. Very useful. I. AM. IMPRESSED. I "DO" look forward to more such work from this author. I like that 'learning to improve' and 'accepting challenges' are part of the messages. This author and her work ARE "positive influences" one finds upon reading this far from ordinary book. There are some spectacular 'quotes' throughout this book, given/written by this author; healthy and encouraging perspectives!!!

I was the recipient of this book through librarything and the author. Well done! Lorri Myers, DO keep writing !!

What a great read!!

Using golf as a comparison to everyday life works really well - it shows that attitude is everything on the road to success.

Great quotes too.

I highly recommend this book!

It is self help kind of book, with a play on golf as the theme. It was ok but it was not easy to read, yes the information was present, but the way it was written, left a lot to be desired
