For young children, a lift-the-flap look at what makes Christmas special. From Santa to a Christmas tree, this is a sure hit for little ones as they guess "What Am I?" and lift the flap to find out!
A lift-the-flap book of what-am-I Christmas riddles for little ones that includes a reindeer, an angel, a gingerbread man and more. On the left side of a double page spread there is a simple riddle and on the right side there is a flap covering the answer. A fun holiday book to share!
I read this to two classes of 4 year olds. We first discussed the meaning of a "riddle" and using "clues." They loved this book. The pictures are bold and large enough with just enough showing for them to determine "what am I?"
I wasn't a that impressed with this one, particularly the art work. I found it too cartoonish. The hints were enough for older children to help guess the holiday items, but Natalie was still too young to guess any of them.
A cute lift the flap book for toddlers. The same refrain repeats throughout, "What am I? What could I be?" Digital illustrations work for this simple, uncluttered book.
Rhyming text and refrain challenge readers to guess what holiday symbol is hiding beneath the flaps. Vivid digital artwork makes for a beautiful read aloud for PreK-2.
